I've gone back to the previous version so I am able to keep working. Thank you for your support for this fine product. |

#10020 | Filezilla is not connecting not retrieving directory listing | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Up to this morning I have had no difficulties with Filezilla either when uploading or downloading to a site I have been using for year. This morning I updated Filezilla. Immediately I had a popup notice informing me that the licence to this site was not recognised. The notice allowed me to override this. However, I noticed that the check box allowing me to indicate that this site can be trusted in future had not been enabled. The site I am trying to connect to is run by Freeola.com, and I was attempting a connection to vip4.freeola.net. This is the log of the attempted connection:- Status: Resolving address of vip4.freeola.net Status: Connecting to 193.0.158.4:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Status: Initializing TLS... Status: Verifying certificate... Status: TLS connection established. Status: Connected Status: Retrieving directory listing... I have included an attachment which is the licence warning I received on a pop up screen. I am concerned that up to noon today I was able to use your software to connect to this site, as I have been doing for several years, and then with the 'improved' update it is now effectively useless to me. |

#10037 | FTP Passive mode with misconfigured remote server and generic proxyenabled | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Hello, I believe to have discovered a bug with the following: If I access an ftp server in passive mode, that return its internal address instead of the public address after a PASV command, FileZilla with the “Use the server external IP address instead” option selected (under the Passive mode) does exactly that and the connection works (expected behavior). When FileZilla is setup to use a FTP Generic Proxy (socks 5), that behavior seems to break and I can see in a wireshark trace, FileZilla requesting to the Proxy server to make a connection to the incorrect internal address instead of the external address. Version of FileZilla: 3.10.0.1 Proxy server used : CCproxy 8.0 - http://www.youngzsoft.net/ccproxy/ Thank you, Franck Fuziol | Director IT, Infrastructure Architecture| Seminole Gaming phone: +1 954.327.7708; mobile: +1 954.520.0357 |

Description |
In version 3.10.0.1 any existing sites defined in site manager are now set to "Use explicit FTP over TLS if available" instead of whatever settings were previously in use. #10097 | Issue for FileZilla Client(v3.10.0.1): Can't auto identify the character-set from the FTP server correctly | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
add a FTP site in Site Manager window, use the DEFAULT setting (NOT do any setting) for the character-set: Auto check. connect to FTP server, browse and double click someone directory in the file list view which has some Chinese words, then the "remote site" and the directory-name of the directory-tree are showed the "Unrecognizable Code". (like Ticket #10096) When I set character-set to "Use the custom character-set" [set the value is: GBK] in Site Manager, and re-do the above operations, the "remote site" and the directory-name of the directory-tree are all showed the correct Chinese words. So.., I guess the issue comes from the function of Auto-Check character-set. (My environment informations of the server and client are all in the Ticket #10096) |

All of my other sites do still have valid hostnames, so I am not sure what the error is referring to. Since there are work-arounds (I believe), this is not a barn-burner. It may be a documentation issue, I just have not able to google an answer that works. BTW, cut'n'Paste is very quirky /and/or not working in this settings dialog as well as the error message window. ...Wait a minit! Now the double quote double back slash does not preserve the space. I swear it did-- Is this related to the cut'n'paste issue? I must be loosing my mind! |

Anyway, after the latest Filezilla update to 3.10.0.2, a server I transfer files from has numerous files of over 2GB in size (a PVR with an inbuilt FTP client) - however - should there be a problem and the file needs to be resumed I am told in the message log that "Server does not support resume of files over > 2GB". Prior to the latest Filezilla update, there was no problem transferring files of any size - the server that the files are being transferred from has not had any software changes prior to or after the latest Filezilla update. Autoupdate works fine except that it places the finished app in the Documents folder. #10157 | MLSD timeout after upgrade to 3.10.0.2 | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
If I download the FileZilla version from the filezilla-project.org website (through Source Forge), that works fine on my computer. That is version is 3.9.0.6. However, when I install it I get a message saying that there's a new version (3.10.0.2). If I upgrade to 3.10.0.2, suddenly FileZilla times out after the MLSD command. Here is the information I get when trying to use version 3.10.0.2 that results in a timeout: Status: Resolving address of ftp.kgshultz.com Status: Connecting to 69.195.124.172:21... I tried logging on in several different locations with different routers, and I still have the same problem. Not to mention, it works fine using version 3.9.0.6. I'm at a bit of a loss now and the only solution I've found is to stick with version 3.9.0.6. I'm nervous that there will be another upgrade (beyond 3.10.0.2) that will cause me the same problems, but I will no longer be able to download 3.9.0.6 from the website. |

#10160 | Remote Search download of empty directory does not remain relative to search root | moreinfo | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Hi I'm using FZ version 3.10.0.2 on OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 (Screenshot of about page here if needed - http://puu.sh/eUSkv/3e8a32fc64.png ). FZ was installed today so as far as I can see this is the most recent official release I can use (and was an auto update). Details of the issue
As you can see, this correctly displays the list of files and directories containing the keywords. Note the directory is completely empty. I then select all items, and right click -> download... with the following details and hit OK. I am then left with this structure locally Note the directory has been placed at the root, not in the catalog/view/theme/default/template/ directory Not sure if it's related, but if I remove the "Filename" rule in the search, it doesn't find the empty directory. That may be intended, but thought it was worth noting. Please correct me if that's not the case Thanks in advance Jay |

Hello, please bear with me, I am very much a newbie. I barely know how to upload files, but have been doing that through you for a while and all was going fine until recently when I updated my version of FileZilla. I keep getting error messages, such as "Failed to retrieve directory listing", and can't connect to my website(s)on my main computer. I called GoDaddy for help, and they thought it might be my browser or firewall, but nothing changed and I don't think that's it. Then I tried to upload via my laptop, which had an older version of FileZilla, and it worked fine. I asked my friend who told me about FileZilla a few years ago, and he suggested I report the issue, because maybe no one else has noticed it. I can't imagine that I'd be the only one, but don't know what else to do. Here is the message I've been getting: " Status: Connecting to 160.153.59.0:21... #10165 | Proxy ignored for SFTP connections (Regression from 3.9.0.6) | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Since version 3.10.0, connections through SFTP always ignore any proxy settings I might have configured. 3.9.6 and older do not. I've got it configured to use a HTTP proxy, over port 443. The "Bypass Proxy" setting for the connection I use is not checked. The console shows the following lines (after enabling detailed output): Response: fzSftp started Command: proxy 1 "proxy.domain.com" 443 Command: open "user@site.com" 2222 But then it actually does a direct connection instead. I confirmed this by looking at my firewall's network connections view, netstat, and by the fact that I'm no longer speed-limited by the proxy. I've downgraded until the issue disappeared, and found that the proxy 3.9.6 and older versions do not have this issue. I assume it's caused by the "Updated SFTP components from PuTTY" change introduced in 3.10.0-beta3, but I might be wrong. |

#10168 | File Sizes wrong on remote end | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Hi, I have noticed an issue with the file sizes on a remote server. Most of the files on the remote end have a size that's the real size of the file minus 4x10243 (4gb). The files are fine on the remote SFTP server but the sizes displayed in FileZilla are wrong. Most of the files are between 4gb and 8gb in size. Here's some more information:
I tried changing the server type from 'Default (Autodetect)' to 'Unix' but there was no noticeable difference. I also tried using the 'Raw listing' in the debug menu but to no avail. This makes things a little wacky when resuming a transfer or calculating a transfer duration.. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there's need for extra info. Regards, Vincent |

#10174 | Add the ability to do File Diffs from within the FileZilla UI | closed | Feature request | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Directory comparison and synchronised browsing are great features in Filezilla but the one thing that is missing is the ability to quickly do a diff between the server and the client versions of a file. This feature could be implemented by downloading the server version into a temporary file and then doing a diff using whatever diffing utility that the user has installed (meld, winmerge, beyondcompare, etc..) FileZilla would need some UI to allow the user to be able to select their diff tool of choice. If the user then makes changes to the temporary file then FileZilla should offer to upload those changes to the server. To implement this, FileZilla would need to watch the process that was opened for the diff tool and wait till it closes. The request and the reasoning is described in this forum article quite well. https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=10824 I did a quick check and did not find any actual ticket for this issue. |

#10180 | New version times out at attempt to connect with main directory of website | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
That's really it. At first, I just thought maybe something was wrong on the website. So to see, I just uninstalled the latest version (FileZilla_3.10.0.2_win32-setup.exe or whatever was the latest as of a day or two ago), and then reinstalled a previous version (which does not have the problem), which is: FileZilla Client Version: 3.8.0 Build information:

This is the error that is displayed: Microsoft visual studio error message: Unhandled exception at 0x002567BD in filezilla.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000. We are running filezilla 3.7.3 and we have a customer that keeps getting this error when he tries to store files. We have tried a number of things but it randomly crashes. After encountering the error, filezilla shuts down. This is transferring Windows files to Linux based storage system. I did perform a search and found a similiar bug but not exactly like this one. |

#10186 | Multiple issues with latest build - Can't edit files - Can't connect to servers | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Hello FZ team, This latest build is not quite right. Have never had issues with anything before. #1 - Constantly have to close and re-launch FileZilla to avoid "couldn't open filename.ext" errors when editing files locally. #2 - When connecting to server fails there is no error message / indication. It just acts as if you never attempted to connect Thanks for all you do, Thomas |

#10187 | FZS can't read the FileZilla Server.xml | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Server
Description |
Actually, if you have reinstalled your OS Win7/8/8.1 FZS isn't able to convert the stored values in FileZilla Server.xml to %appdata%/FileZilla Server/FileZilla Server Interface.xml If I try to manually add the config the programm isn't able to read them correctly. Beacuse an import/export function is currently missing I report this as an Bug with the highest priority which has to bef ixed in the next few day's! I can't accept that a programm with stored config values in XML don't have an import/export function - this is the first thing/function which MUST BE ADDED! Your FZC has this function but why is it not included in FZS? Priority: CRITICAL!!! Solved until: Next few days!!! |

#10202 | New tab overlays old tab; cannot change between them | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
I connect to a server, then establish a connection to a different server in a new tab. (See screenshot 1.) Instead of creating a new tab alongside the old one, it creates a new screen that overlays the old one, but is slightly smaller. There is no way to switch between the two tabs. (See screenshot 2.) This has been a problem since FileZilla version 3.9.0.6. I am now using FileZilla version 3.10.1.1, and the problem remains.
