OSX Autoupdate saves app in wrong folder

Description
Autoupdate works fine except that it places the finished app in the Documents folder.
From memory it indicates it will be in the Downloads folder, but really it would be preferable if it went directly into the Applications folder, but would then have to handle replacing the current version or keeping both
