#10377 | File Prioritization No Longer Works After Update | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Hi there... We've found Filezilla to be a fantastic tool, but after your recent update, one of your more helpful features, prioritization, no longer works. It appears that once files are uploaded, Filezilla only deals with one server at a time in chronological order. Highest priority files are ignored for ones that were put in the queue first. Thus, we've had a lot of low priority files consuming time and bandwidth. Please address this. It's very challenging to use FZ without this feature working. Thanks. |

Command: AUTH TLS Error: Could not connect to server ==> "AUTH TLS" command is killing the login process on some FTP server when using "Quick Connect" on FileZilla. TLS should not be enforced on simple ftp:// login, or you should add a checkbox to activate/deactivate TLS, just next to the "Quickconnect" button. I don't know if this is a bug report or a feature request~ it is certainly a problem for inexperienced users. ==> Login works fine when: a) Using the FileZilla Site Manager and picking the "Only use plain FTP (insecure)" option b) Adding a network location within Windows c) Using Internet Explorer |

#10380 | SFTP connection timed out | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client

For every file that i edit and say yes to save changes then yes to upload when i try to send the next file it prompts me to send the previous file that i had edited instead of the one that i'm trying to send. I have to click no then yes once the file i want to send appears. this causes many duplicates files being sent at times. this ONLY happens to files that are edited first. |

#10386 | Mark (w/ background color) file panels when ftping on multiple server/tabs | closed | Feature request | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
In these days I am moving some webapps from an old to a brand new server, fine tuning and testing the new version and also still developing the old one. Paths and folders are almost the same (LAMP platform) and the only distinguishing thing is the title bar or the tab bar with the remote IP address. So I am in a constant "panic" :) when I make an upload, always fearing if I am uploading at the wrong place. MY WISH What I wish is just the ability to mark, preferably with a BACKGROUND COLOR for a better recognizability, both the local and remote panels for having an immediate conscience on "where" I am working on. So backgrounding, in my situation, the old server as reddish and the new one as greenish will make me work most confortably. Of course the bgcolor should be a stored property in the Site Manager. Maybe this feature can be useful when simply working on multiple sites too. Thanks in advance. |

#10412 | Filezilla opens in such a way that I can't access it on my Macs display! | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
When I open Filezilla it opens on the screen of my 17" Macbook Pro in a way that does NOT allow me to use it because the top half of the opened program is stuck ABOVE the top of my display and I can't drag or move it anywhere else on my screen to use it. PLEASE SEE SCREENSHOT. I have tried to open it while using an external monitor and without an external monitor and the problem persists either way. I sent a support ticket (or maybe it was a forum post) quite a long time ago and the problem is still there and even with the latest version. I'm amazed that no one else has reported this since then. I set up the "debug" for 3 like you said but I don't see how I can access that information to give to you. Please fix because I really need to use Filezilla asap. Thank you very much. -Filezilla: 3.10.3 -OSX 10.9.5 |

Its not a server error becuase my android ftp client reads the size correctly. |

#10444 | speed limits apply per-file, not total for the server | new | Feature request | normal | FileZilla Server
Description |
Speed limits are applied for each individual file download. So if the limit is 100KB/s and one file is being downloaded the total BW occupied by FTP downloads is 100KB/s. If two users are connected (or a single user is downloading two files) the maximum BW becomes 200KB/s. This makes it nearly impossible to allow more than one connection while limiting total bandwidth the server is using. |

Hi why not change from svn to git. using gerrit and gitblit plugin. It would make reviewing code and upload code so much easer to review and for code reviewing in a good designed website. And using gerrit 2.11 would let users upload changes without having to download and upload through ssh. |

#10490 | Site Manager List Bug | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
We use your software to manage multiple login accounts for many different clients on a regular basis. By default the site dropdown list box expands off-screen beyond the windows frame panel and I cannot easily scroll to view saved connections on the lower portion of the list. Having the dropdown be bound to the windows frame and implementing a nice scrollable option for an extensive catalog of saved connections, would gain much added value for power users such as myself. yes I know you can click on it manually and connect through where you add new connections but let's be real... who does that. Even having the dropdown expand into multiple columns once it reaches a certain amount of list items would give me much more real estate to work with as far as usability. There is a similar suggestion submitted 6 weeks ago (Ticket #10390). Thank you guys so much, I love this product. please consider this enhancement I think so many people commercially could benefit from this. |

Filters, historically - whether correct or not - have been used to SHOW things, not HIDE things. FZ uses them to hide things, which is not apparent. A simple addition of text in the filter dialogs to alert users that checked items will not be shown would be very helpful. |

Description |
A few days ago, I upgraded to Filezilla Client 3.11.0.1 I don't remember which version I had before. But before this featuer was working and now it does not anymore. I can only transfer 1 file at a time, even if I change the settings for the simultaneous downloads / uploads / transfers. This is at least true, when I have already files waiting in a queue to transfer. (I believe in my previuos Filezilla Version, there was only one setting for simultaneous transfers(?) In that version, this feature worked fine) I use the german version. Here is the information of my FZ-client: FileZilla Client Version: 3.11.0.1 Build information:

#10526 | ability to connect to FTP server depends on IP address | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
Home network, three computers. Desktop computer with FTP server connected to router via a wired connection. Two laptop computers with Filezilla FTP clients connected to router via wireless connections; one runs Windows XP and an older Filezilla client, while the other runs Windows 7 and has the latest Filezilla client 3.11.0.2. Everything is DHCP. Router dynamically assigned 192.168.0.101 to the desktop machine. Both laptop Filezilla FTP clients have entries in the Site Manager to connect to host 192.168.0.101. Both worked just fine for months and months. Following a recent power outage, router dynamically assigned 192.168.0.100 to the desktop machine with FTP server. Site Manager on the Windows XP machine was updated to point to 192.168.0.100, and it works. Site Manager on the Windows 7 machine was updated to point to 192.168.0.100, but sometimes it works and sometimes it does NOT work. When it does NOT work, the router has assigned the Windows 7 laptop 192.168.0.101 (the previous address of the desktop FTP server). When it does work, the router has assigned the Windows 7 laptop some other IP, such as 192.168.0.103 (the most recent time it worked). When it fails, the messages are "Connecting to 192.168.0.100", "Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity", and "Could not connect to server". The automatic retry yields the same set of errors. Meanwhile, the FTP server on the desktop machine shows no attempt to connect from another machine on the home network. And the Windows XP machine has absolutely no trouble connecting. Speculation: something in Filezilla "remembers" that the FTP server used to be 192.168.0.101 (even though the IP was changed in the Site Manager), so when the router assigns 192.168.0.101 to the Windows 7 laptop, Filezilla tries to connect to "itself" and fails. When the router assigns 192.168.0.103 (or 102, or 104, or 105) to the Windows 7 laptop, everything works just fine. I suppose I could learn how to configure the router so that it forces a particular IP onto a machine and that would get around the problem, but it sure looks like there is a bug in Filezilla. |

Description |
On starting the program, the "Check for Updates" dialog box appears asking to update to "3.12.0.2" I click "Install new version" and click yes on the Windows User Account Control dialog to allow the program to install. The updates install, the program restarts and the "Check for Updates" dialog box does not appear. The version listed is 3.12.0.2 in the About section. The check for updates menu item gives me the dialog box "You are using the latest version of FileZilla." I select File->Exit to exit. I restart the program and the "Check for Updates" dialog box appears asking to update to "3.12.0.2". I close the dialog and check the about section. The version is now listed as "3.11.0" and choosing to install the new version restarts the process. Other information: I have tried manually uninstalling, restarting the computer, downloading a new copy and reinstalling the software with the same result. When opening the program the version listed does not advance past "3.11.0" I have noticed that the updates will accumulate in the dialog box until I click "Install new version" but after the updates install and I close the program, reopening it will show only the most recent update as still available in the "Check for Updates" dialog. I did install FileZilla Server 0_9_51 at one point on the same computer but it has since been uninstalled. |

I don't know if the ":21..." refers to the default port, or what the ",197,52" or "197,46" means. I would like to know if: (a) Specifying a particular Port number will clear up this problem. (And, if so, what port number?) (b) This is a "Bug" or a Feature", and (c) If the former, can it be fixed? Thank you. |

#10613 | Register app path in windows | closed | Feature request | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
I've been frustrated for a while that I can't run Filezilla Client from the "Run..." without a full path. Apparently this is achieved with entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths This would be an installer update, I presume. Some relevant documentation: http://www.askvg.com/how-to-open-any-program-by-typing-its-name-in-run-dialog-box-in-windows/ https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ee872121%28v=vs.85%29.aspx |

#10615 | Closing tab button doesn't work | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
When you have at least 2 tabs, there is a little cross on the right side of the tab, presumably to close the tab. But when you click on it, it doesn't work. The tab can be right clicked to be closed. Steps to reproduce : Open two tabs Click the cross to close a tab Expected : the tab closes Bug : nothing happens. Gif of it in action: https://i.imgur.com/7Z6JVI7.gif This bug is present in Filezilla client version 3.12.0.2 on GNU/Linux plateform (Archlinux). I can't reproduce it on Mac OS X. This bug was first reported two years ago (https://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/8889) with Awesome WM, now I'm using BSPWM, and the bug is still here. Regards, ~k |

#10623 | [REGRESSION] Site manager window is huge and cannot be resized | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
I opened the Sites Manager. The window is ridiculously tall, as you can see from the screenshot. It even exceeds the height of the screen, though fortunately the buttons are accessible (but what if my screen had been smaller?!?) What is much worse, the window CANNOT BE RESIZED. I tried to resize in the standard way as you do in Ubuntu. The resizing cursor does appear when you hover the mouse over the upper borders or corners of the window (the lower ones are outside the screen; note that if you were on mac you could only resize the window from the bottom), but clicking and dragging doesn't resize the window as expected. This issue has appeared after I upgraded from Ubuntu 14.04 to 15.04 (through 14.10). So this is a regression somewhere between whatever version was distributed with 14.04 and whatever version is distributed with 3.9.0.5 |

#10632 | FileZilla keeps asking me to install new version even though new version has been installed | closed | Bug report | normal | FileZilla Client
Description |
When I open FileZilla, I am prompted to install version 3.13.0. I install it. But each time I launch Filezilla for a new use, I'm prompted to install the version I have already installed. Here's the message: 3.13.0 (2015-08-15) + Display home directory instead of root directory if the last used directory does not exist + Larger initial size of main window if there is no stored size + Slightly increased size of page selection box in settings dialog
3.13.0-rc2 (2015-08-10)
3.13.0-rc1 (2015-08-06) + For SFTP servers the private key file to use can now be specified in the Site Manager + The contents of each queue tab can now be exported through the context menu + MSW: The installer now registers the App Path so that FileZilla is recognized in the Win+R dialog + FileZilla now uses pugixml instead of TinyXML to parse and create XML files + Several performance improvements + Code cleanup and modernization, building FileZilla now requires a C++14 compiler
