Good morning, I recently downloaded Office 365 to my office computers and now when we try to open an Excel Spreadsheet in the FTP, it comes up blank. I spoke with Office 365 Support and they said that I needed to contact you all because there was an issue with the port configuration. Can you all help me with this? I cannot perform my duties until this is resolved.

I use filezilla to connect to a FTP server (NAS drive) in the office LAN. Sometimes we change the port that the NAS FTP Server hears. These are the steps:

• I connect to the ftp server in port 21 (any port)
• The admin changes the port of the server to 321 (any port)
• I disconnect.
• I enter the site site manager in filezilla and change the port.
• I try to connect, but the port that filezilla tryes to use is the old one.
• Only if I close filezilla, and open it again, the new port is used.

I have only tested this in a local FTP server with 2 devices (a Lacie NAS and a Freecom NAS). I have not tried with a server in Internet.

I am creating hosts in the Site Manager portion of Filezilla but the port numbers for some sites that do not use the default port 21 are not saving. I am having to connect to some SSL/TLS connections and they require port 990. After I manually put in port 990 in Site Manager for a site that requires an SSL/TLS connection I am able to connect but if I restart Filezilla the port number is lost and it tries to revert back to using port 21.

The verion of Filezilla I am running is 3.3.0.1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have multiple clients using Filezilla to connect to our FTP site--my company recommends the program to them. We have had a few clients experience problems when setting up a site manager profile for our site, which needs to be accessed on port number 990. The port number does not seem to save when they exit the site manager, even though all the other settings are saved. Are they doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

I had problems due to a bad translated item in the Portuguese language because the term used to translate the act of "entering a directory" (In portuguese up to now shows "Inserir diretório" - what is wrong in my oppinion) means "insert" and entering is one thing and inserting is another very different thing.

The way it is now ("Inserir diretório") suggests that clicking the folder, a NEW SUB DIRECTORY will be created inside the folder instead of opening it.

IMHO the best translation for the act of "entering/browsing a directory/folder" would be "Entrar no diretório" that means to "Go into the directory".

This words "Inserir diretório" must be changed, this expression is only valid when you are CREATING a sub directory not when you are just browsing it.

The correct translation for this item is "Entrar no diretório"

I am not sure exactly what is happening but I an a friend of my are having the following issue:

Configuration Info

We both have:

• FileZilla 3.0 b7 installed
• DLink DNS323 500GB RAID1 servers(Unix L8)on our respective networks configured for FTP
• NATed networks behind Linksys Routers with MTU=1492
• Running Windows XP clients
• Have ports 21, 5000-5100(preferred by prior version of FileZilla, and 65500-65535(preferred by DNS 323 in PASV) forwarded on the routers
• Set FileZilla b7 to use Servers External IP
• We both are using DNS name server via DynDNS.org because our ISPs change our IPs several times a week.

Whats Different

• My access is 250/3000 Cable with Auto IP
• His access is 600/6000 DSL using PPPoE
• My client PC uses Norton Virus and Firewall SW
• His client PC uses ATT protection for Yahoo SW
• Note: We have tried disabling firewalls and Internet Secuity Setting with no affect on results

Issue Outlined

• My client from my network has no issues connecting with and transferring files to and from his server either in Active or Passive Mode when using 3.0 b7 over his DSL/PPPoE based service.
• His FZ2.31 client logs on to my server from his network in Active Mode without issues. Passive does not work because it needs servers external IP to work.
• His FZ 3.0b7 client fails both Active and Passive connections to my server when he tries from his network. However,when he tried from his son's cable serviced network, he was able to log on and tranfer files both in Active and Passive Mode.

I am current thinking that the issue is somehow related to his PPPoE connection but why does FZ 2.31 work in Active Mode while FZ 3.0b7 fails to connect in either mode when he tries to connect to my server from his network. The trace shows that the socket closes as soon as the PASV command is issued and the disconnect then follows.

I have included the trace for Passive Mode. I do not yet have a trace for the Active Mode. I have asked my friend for it and I will add it when I get it.

As soon as the language is set to default system language (which is german on my system) or to german language, the settings/preferences windows uses the full width of the screen.

Setting the language to english reverts to a normal sized window

Using 3.0.4.1 on WinXP Pro. Behavior in FZ2 was that when focus is on Remote Site panel or Local Site panel, user could start typing using the 10-key portion of the keyboard, and the focus would narrow to folders matching user input. This still works using the primary keyboard area and number row, but not using 10-key.

Expected behavior - any keyboard input while focus is on either Remote or Local Site panels would search/focus on folders/files matching user input.

(Sorry if my jargon is off, this is the first bug/feature ever submitted.)

I am transferring files from one computer to another and it does not preserve the date/time information. Under transfer, I have a checkmark by the line to preserve that information.

When downloading from a server the file timestamps are preserved, but not those for the folders. Please could you look into this?

Filezilla 3.2.5 is not preserving timestamps, but SmartFTP is doing it flawlessly, when dragging from local window to remote window. "Preserive Timestamps..." is checked in the "Transfer" menu of Filezilla but the log shows that Filezilla is not even attempting an MFMT command. FEAT shows MFMT is supported.

If the problem is that the server isn't using seconds, then Filezilla should be more flexible to omit seconds (a feature request).

Windows platform, FileZilla client 3.1.3.1 of 2008.09.09

If a file is uploaded, the "Last Modified" time is the time of the upload, not the time of the original file. Toggling the setting of "Preserve timestamps...." does not affect the timestamp of the uploaded file. No problems appear in the log except that there is no attempt to reset the timestamp or otherwise protect the timestamp of the original file.

Uploading the same file to the same server/account using SmartFTP instead of FileZilla preserves the timestamp so the server-side is okay. -m

Often I having problem with window position. Please add a feature to prevent saving minus X and Y position of FZ Window. This will allow to resume FileZilla without editing xml file to start it - with normal position. Its happen on multiple screens (monitors), I can figure out how - but this trick should help.

While transferring a file with the client(v3.1.3.1), if I: 1) Right click on the file being transferred in the transfer queue 2) Select Default file exists action... 3) Select a non-default action 4) Click OK 5) Right click on the file being transferred in the transfer queue 6) Select Default file exists action...

Now, I notice that nothing has changed.

Priority Settings added doesn't work while downloading files.

If priority of a one file download is set at highest and another is set at lowest then highest gets downloaded at lesser speed then lowest priority one. This should not happen otherwise there seems no other use for this field

When I change the priority of a file in the queue it is not recognized. As one file finishes the next file on the list is taken regardless of other files where the priority was set to "high"

While it send the command :

"C:\Program Files\FileZilla FTP Client\uninstall.exe _?=C:\Program Files\FileZilla FTP Client"

It fail to quote the path correctly and launch any program named Program.exe in c: with administrator rights ( or Filezilla.exe/Filezilla FTP.exe in Program Files) I've made piece of code to help me investigate on this (get the command and the parent process) and a video as proof of concept

This trick can be use by malware to gain admin privilege or persistance, on compromised windows system (for info i'm on Win7 SP1 x64 but it should work for all systems as its a common windows vulnerability)

I didn't investigate on the previous version but they are possibly vulnerable too.

A cool way to trigger the vulnerability is to wait for an update as it launch the same unquoted command (that's where it was first discovered and that's why it concern the client too not only the install.exe)

I recently installed Fedora 16 onto my laptop. Since then I have been having trouble uploading over FTPS. This affects both FTPS and FTPES modes, and only affects uploads.

What happens is that the upload proceeds for only a few Kilobytes, then the connection times out and the upload resumes (REST). For another few Kilobytes, then times out again. Et. Cetera.

Trying an older version of FileZilla on Ubuntu works fine. However, an older version of FileZilla on Fedora still fails. My guess is that the problem might be due to the version of GnuTLS on Fedora, but this is only a guess. Below are the details of the versions of FileZilla I have tested.

CTlsSockt::OnSend() continues until I cancel the transfer. I am not sure why the broken log stops after the EAGAIN error.

Please let me know if I can provide any other information that might be useful.

We have several computers that use FileZilla to transmit files via FTP to different sites. After the Windows 10 version update, we cannot connect to this one site. The computers that have not had the Version 1607 update applied, can still transmit to the site. Is it something at the other end or what.

The installation fails during installation, stating that it has problems with writing af file. In windows the program appears to have been uninstalled. Trying to delete the program file filezilla.exe gives an error. By restart of the computer the program filezilla.exe is still active, and must be aborted. After the restart, the program files can be deleted, and the installation can be performed.

Hi, we have been using Filezilla FTP for 12 mths with no problems. It was last used successfully Tues 18 September to upload my bridge club Mornington BC results. I have not been able to connect since then, despite repeated attempts. We have the latest version of Filezilla. Can you help? I have attached a phot of the screen with the error.

We are having trouble connecting to some servers and have traced the problem back to the code.

A bug that was fixed in the latest version of PuTTY has not been propagated to the latest version of the 2.2.x branch of FileZilla.

Specifically, when filezilla connects, some servers send a window adjust (SSH2_MSG_CHANNEL_WINDOW_ADJUST) to allow the client to send data after creating the session. FileZilla then fails to trigger the send data functionality and thus hangs. The method in question is in SSH.C:

Right-clicking the header bar within the local and remote file windows brings up the Column Setup dialogue for selecting the columns that should be displayed and the order in which to display them.

Changing these configurations by checking and unchecking the boxes and using the move up and move down buttons will change the visibility and location of the column headers, as it should. However, the file details below do not change with the column headers, as they should.

For example, if you uncheck the Filesize box in order to hide that column, the header goes away, but the column containing the Filesize information for each file is still listed below. Only now it appears under the Filetype header, as the Filesize header is no longer visible. And the Filetype information is listed below the Last Modified header. The file detail columns do not change visibility or order, no matter what settings you make in the Column Setup dialogue box.

This behavior has been confirmed on two separate machines, although both are running the same version of Windows.

Howdy, I believe I've found some bugs with this matter, my steps are:

maybe Filezilla client, show not use the UTF8 option, or maybe:

-IT could exist an option, in configuration, to enable or disable the: -When download fails, try to download the file without UTF8

i installed FileZilla Client is 3.9.0.2 from the filezilla screen which said new version available.

After installing and while uploading files on domain through ftp, i encountered error. Every time i uploaded batch of files, after few file uploads files in queue dose not uploads and displays time out.

Then i uninstalled that version and switched back to earlier one which i have 3.8.1 and tried uploading with it and it worked.

the new version has some issue. so please check it out.

I've a problem transfering a directory from my computer Windows to a UNIX computer.

The directory's name is "1ab cd ef" and the name of the distant computer directiry becomes "cd ef". That is on the filezilla view but if we connect to distant computer with Telnet (for example), it is the right name "1ab cd ef"

From the site manager, I sometimes have to update the ftp password and it works fine until I'm not quiting Filezilla. When I restart Fillezilla, the new ftp password is lost. To get around the problem, I have to duplicate the site with the new password. I did not have this problem with previous versions. Could you help please? Thanks a lot for supprt Rémi ;))

Have been using the fzdefaults.xml file to point to a default location for the different FTP sites.

The setting are not being read correct by version 3.22.2.2. Had to revert back to version 3.20.0

When a folder has more than 10,000 files FileZilla count and list them to 9,998 files after that file are not counted and showed.

Hi, I use "ftpes" to download files from a webserver, mostly php,css files. I noticed a strange behavior.

In some files, when using ASCII or Auto transfer mode, extra CR(carriage return) characters are added at the end of each line, causing a [CR][CR][LF] instead of [CR][LF].

If I download the file directly from the server is fine (not using filezilla)

Hello, we got a strange failure by uploading files which are created with a macintosh. Files like *.html or *.js shout be uploaded as ASCII, but when the format is from a mac, the automatic choosing ASCII or Binary mode for upload don´t work. Even when i open the html or js files and save them as windows or unix formated the upload work fine. Can be this a bug or do i have to change some settings?

P.S. when i have uploaded the mac formated files as binary, does it worked too.

Every time FileZilla checked for new updates it will show Version 3.2.6.1 is avaliable. If I try to download this file, there is an error message "Timer creation failed". Got the problem every time, not only at my own system, even at other PCs. I had to download latest version manually.

Using Filezilla 3.2.0 (and also 3.1.6) Windows XP PRO SP1 on AMD Athalon

Connection is FTP on port 21

Filezilla was working fine on prior version. Upgraded to 3.1.6 in December 2008 and began having some crashes. Upgraded to 3.2.0 today (2008-01-07) and still have problems crashing.

Crash happens nearly every-time I try to download (backup) the Plugins folder for a WordPress Blog. I initiate the download by dragging plugins folder from remote filelist to local filelist. The folder that is being copied does not exist on the local computer prior to initiating the download on Filezilla.

The folder has only 153 files, 16 folders, about 2.5 MB.

Crashes with other folders as well but this is the folder I am working on right now, and it is the folder being copied when the attached logfile was created.

When Filezilla crashes, perhaps 50% to 75% of the download is complete. I get a Windows crash message with these details: AppName: filezilla.exe AppVer: 3.2.0.0 ModName: msvcrt.dll ModVer: 7.0.2600.1106 Offset: 00033de0

Filezilla USUALLY continues to run behind the Win-error box and sometimes it even completes the files in the queue before the Filezilla window closes.

Sometimes during this downloading, after the Win-error box opens, Filezilla will show a file-exists dialog indicating that a zero-length file already exists at the destination. Of course the file did not exist at the target location before the download because the target folder did not exist then and it was created by Filezilla.

there is a problem with the program associated to a file (to open). By example I have created fils association for .lo and .txt, and what I get in the parameter widow is : log "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" %fphp "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" %ftxt "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe"

So juste one string for both association. I think a \n is missign somewhere.

Renaming a file on a HP NonStop causes the new file name to include the folder name and the file to end up in parent folder. I think the log below explains the problem best.

The file being renamed is located in /usr/morten/environments/devl/batch

I am using filezilla 3.5.0 on windows 7 and find that the traditional Chinese folder names and file names became monster characters in the "remote site" box, but it is normal in the lower box.

This causes the failure of viewing and opening of the folder.

I used filezilla 1 month ago without problems in my MAC OS X.

But now y try to upload a index.html (3 kb) in my server using filezilla and report a problem, it try to upload, and in a minute says: Target file already exists. Ok. I select Overwrite, and try to upload again and report again the same: Target file already exists. I select cancel (boring) and the file appears in the server but with 0 bytes.

Is very strange, because only happens with some files. Another files can be upload without problems. I have been checking 1 week, but without solutions... I can see that if I create an html without code between <body> </body> i can upload de file. But... Why I cant upload some files and another one yes I can? Whats is the problem? Is a new upgrade of MAC OS X? Problems with configuration? I dont touch anything in this month.

But... attention... I try upload the files from a PC (Windows) and all is ok, there are not any problems.

Note the missing type feature.

This makes filezilla list everything as type "file", even if it a directory etc.

With the newest version 3.2.4 (Windows) no dotfiles (eg .htaccess) are listed on server side. I checked that I have no filter activated. I did a cross check with 3.1.5.1 (Fedora) and that works fine. I cannot retrieve dotfiles by manually typing in the command (eg retr .htaccess):

But the file is there - with 3.1.5.1 on Fedora that works excellent!

After updating to the 3.8.1 version it's not possible to browse or copy files with cyrillic names - "No such file or directory ". UTF-8 is set in configuration.

I have been downloading music module files from ftp.modland.com. Some of the files there have non-standard names and may be really good for testing. Here are my observations:

1. FileZilla sometimes can download files with national characters, and sometimes it cannot. I am not sure why the bug is not always reproducible but it seems to depend on the fact if the file is downloaded as the first one, or not. FileZilla seems to set itself to the codepage - but if the codepage is already set, there is no way to download a file except when after restarting the program. Examples: /pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Walkah/tehdastyöläinen.xm Note ä, ö letters in the name of the file. I would expect that FileZilla behaviour would be more stable or possible to be set manually.

2. Such files are sometimes downloaded with correct names, and sometimes not. For example: /pub/modules/Ad Lib/AdLib Tracker 2/Nula/gummi björnarna.a2m or gummi björnarna.a2m . I have tried downloading them twice, and I have two versions now.

3. Yet more serious problems have been spotted with ANSI-named files in non-ANSI named folders. Example: /pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Roger Skagerström/time files away.xm (note "o umlaut")or /pub/modules/Maniacs Of Noise Old/Johannes Bjerregård/tusker title.xm (note "a ring" that is not even prestnt in Windows 1250 codepage used on my OS in its native version). Such a file is listed as unsuccessful transfer, or the file can be downloaded with no contents (i.e. it is 0 bytes long on my computer). Files like those are not listed as errors, so the only way to find them is to check your disk manually, searching for zero-length files.

4. Sometimes the FileZilla behaviour is even destructive. I can download the file like in point 2 manually (e.g. with a browser) and place it in the right place in the folder tree on my disk. When I run FileZilla and set it to download only files that differs in length or are newer, then it replace the correct file with a new version of 0 bytes length. In other words, FileZilla works destructively - destroys good files with bad ones. It seems that FileZilla tries to download such files even if they are neither newer nor with different size - and because the downloaded file is 0 bytes long, the program treats it as a different length.

5. FileZilla is completely helpless with files whose names start from a dot. Examples: "/pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Walkah/. s e.xm" or even mor bizarre: "/pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Cosmic Eclipse/. . . - - - . . .xm" - it is good that FileZilla can see this file at all (ex. Mozilla Firefox cannot see them), but it is bad that FileZilla cannot download them under any conditions. To tell the truth, I have no program that would do it. All I can to obtain such strange-named-files is to use mirrors like ​http://ftp.amigascne.org/cgi-bin/search_archive.cgi - but I would like to download them with FileZilla.

filezilla drag and drop does not work with teracopy installed (​http://www.codesector.com/teracopy.php)when moving files from filezilla.

It appears that files with iso 8859-1 accented characters (uploaded for instance by a Windows version of FileZilla) program are not shown in the Linux version of FileZilla 3.0.2.1 if the charset encoding is set to "Autodetect" or "Force UTF-8".

I tested this amongst others with a file called "Là.txt" that I uploaded with FileZilla 3.0.2.1 on a Windows machine with the charset option set to "Autodetect". The file does not show up in FileZilla 3.0.2.1 under SuSE Linux 10.1 on a x86_64 machine (I use the FileZilla binaries created by the FileZilla project), unless I use the custom charset "iso8859-1". I would expect FileZilla to list all files (except for hidden files if FileZilla is not configured to show them, of course), independent of the charset settings, the charset setting should only affect the way their names are displayed.

Hi, since the last release (3.9.0.1), the focus on the last selected file ist lost if I use another app and come back to Filezilla. This is frustrating as I need to use the mouse to select the file again. A similar problem occurs when I open the Site Manager : i cannot simply press "Enter" anymore to connect to the last Site I connected to. It was also possible with the previous release.

Like the prev. bug, but also FZ ignores starting spaces and puts the files in queue without them. Then - critical error.

Today i have encountered a critical error while trying to fetch file that was starting with spacebar. It totally forbids me from downloading the files as server response 550 - file not exists.

I am haveing problem with uploade of large numbers of files. The problems are much the same as the "sync" upload problem that was supposedly fixed in the 3.1.6 release (which I am running.)

Some of the files are either not uploaded or are only partially stored. Redoing transfer with fewer files corrects the missing/corrupt file

Quand je transfert un fichier, que se soit par "glisser/déposer" ou en double cliquant dessus ou enfin en utilisant le clic droit de la souris sur le fichier pour choisir "Envoyer", le fichier est bien "visuellement" transféré mais pas "physiquement".

Je constate l'erreur car dans la fenêtre de droite "serveur FTP" la taille des fichiers ne change pas. Si je supprime le fichier dans la fenêtre de droite et que je transfert le fichier de la fenêtre de gauche vers la fenêtre de droite, le ficher est également "visuellement" transféré mais pas "physiquement" car si je clique sur le bouton "Actualiser" la taille du fichier revient à celle du fichier d'origine ???

J'espère que vous pouvez lire le français car personnellement mon anglais est trop nul pour vous expliquer ce bug.

When trying to set up a file transfer, from a remote host to my machine, I wanted to queue up all the files before transferring the lot. However, when I clicked the process queue button on the toolbar, or right clicked a file to untick process queue, I found that neither action had any effect (the button was still depressed, and the tick was still present), and the files kept transferring. Sometimes either action does have an effect, but only to stop the current transfers (the process queue button switches off), whereupon files further down the transfer list are started, and process queue button/tick box enabled again.

I'm using FileZilla 3.1.1.1, running on XP SP3.

Process queue freezes when some file is downloading. To resume it for some time the mouse moving is needed. It seems wxGTK's message queue freezes.

I noticed this problem only when using Filezilla on a Windows XP64 machine, Nforce4 Pro, Dual Opteron. When connected with Filezilla I often transfer items and continue on to other tasks. After a period of time, my connection is automatically disconnected from the server. At some point when this happens and after I have used the connection for transferring files my dual processor usage will fly up to 60%+ (a rarity). I use sftp to connect to the remote server and I have not yet identified all of the specific conditions but it appears to continue to poll the processor with this thread until I kill that Filezilla thread.

I had updated FileZilla when it was released on 19 July but it was through the Update Check within the running FileZilla. No virus was flagged with that installer. Yesterday (August 3) I downloaded FileZilla again to be sure I had the latest version and my virus checker identified the installer as having a virus in it.

This time, I downloaded the file from the FileZilla website. I didn't expect to get a virus from the product website. My virus checker, ClamXAV, flagged this installer as having a virus. The two installers must have come from a different source. The installer from https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client, was flagged by ClamXAV as: File Name Infection Name Status /Users/cinzia/Downloads/FileZilla_3.27.0.1_macosx-x86_setup_bundled.zip Adware.OSX.Spigot Status: I trashed that installer. The file that downloaded was ​https://download.filezilla-project.org/client/FileZilla_3.27.0.1_macosx-x86_setup_bundled.zip. The page had a line just below the download link: "This installer may include bundled offers." This can be acceptable but not if it includes a virus in it also.

Next, I tried downloading the installer from SourceForge at ​https://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/files/ and got a clean installer: Download FileZilla_3.17.0.1_macosx-x86.app.tar.bz2 (7.6 MB). It was not flagged as having a virus.

Whether the installer has a virus or not depends on the source of the downloaded file. Clean installers are from within the running FileZilla Update and from SourceForge. The FileZilla product website provides an installer with a virus. That needs to be cleaned up or point people to other download sites for the OS X system that don't provide an installer with the virus. There was a link on the page for More Options but they were for different operating systems.

The option "Always use this action" resets every time the program is closed.

The program asks for but does not recognize it when I allow the use of a site with an old certificate. The program previously worked properly without asking for old certificate approval at all.

Error Program opens and connects to a remote Linux server successfully using SFTP on custom SSH port. Files dragged to destination and upon successful transfer of the entire queue the program immediately closes. No error messages in log file even in full debug mode. The program then has to be reopened to do more transfers.

Version number 3.2.8 (newest - downloaded and installed on 8th October 2009, 11.36pm)

When connected to aa remote site, I try and edit a css file by right clicking on the remote file (in the remote view window) and choosing the view/edit command from the menu. The program immediately crashes. It takes a while to close.

• Previous version of Filezilla 2.2.17 doesn't show me

a progress bar connecting via SFTP SSH2 to a FreeBSD (SSH-1.99-OpenSSH_3.6.1p1 FreeBSD-20030924) but ran fine connecting via SFTP SSH2 to a Linux (SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_3.9p1 Debian-1ubuntu2)

• I installed 2.2.18 to see if this problem was solved

(since old versions prior to 2.2.17 showed me progress bar in both machines) but this new version runs inversely: it shows progress bar connecting to FreeBSD but not for Linux!

This bug had been submitted as Bug No: 4409 on 10.04.2009 for Filezilla 3.2.2.1; and was solved. It has now reappeared.

Steps to reproduce the bug:

1. Select a folder with many subfolder on the server. Make sure you have a folder of the same name on the client with a similar tree structure containing at least a few files in common. Right click and choose "Download"

2. When the first file that already exists is found, the prompt appears asking you what to do.

• Select "Overwrite"
• Check "Always use this action"
• Check "Apply only to current queue"

3. Click OK

Expected: it should download all the rest of the files and never ever ask you again what to do with existing files in the current queue

Observed: every once in a while the "file already exists" dialog appears again. I select "always use this action" and "apply to current queue only" again, and again, but it will still pop up again.

I don't know if this happens when the connection is lost and reestablished with the server. Even if this is the case it is wrong.

Hello, if I want to do an update of Filezilla client, there is no connection to internet. In our system we use an proxy server. We use the internet settings to set up the proxy settings. In some programs there is the possibility to set up an proxy or the program uses the proxy from internet settings, but filezilla doesn't do this. Can you give the chance to setup the proxy for updater in later versions?

Since version 3.10.0, connections through SFTP always ignore any proxy settings I might have configured. 3.9.6 and older do not.

I've got it configured to use a HTTP proxy, over port 443. The "Bypass Proxy" setting for the connection I use is not checked.

The console shows the following lines (after enabling detailed output):

Response:	fzSftp started
Command:	proxy 1 "proxy.domain.com" 443
Command:	open "user@site.com" 2222

But then it actually does a direct connection instead. I confirmed this by looking at my firewall's network connections view, netstat, and by the fact that I'm no longer speed-limited by the proxy.

I've downgraded until the issue disappeared, and found that the proxy 3.9.6 and older versions do not have this issue.

I assume it's caused by the "Updated SFTP components from PuTTY" change introduced in 3.10.0-beta3, but I might be wrong.

Using FZ 2.2.18 there is an issue when using FileZilla in HTTP 1.1 proxy mode.

The issue is caused by the use of the CONNECT verb for establishing the connection with ISA proxy.

The use of CONNECT verb cause ISA proxy to raise a 502 error related to SSL connection. Checking ISA logs, show that the proxy try to establish a tunnel for SSL... ​http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616- sec9.html#sec9.9

Using ftp with IE and Firefox browsers cause no problem. An Ethereal capture shows that the GET verb is used instead of CONNECT. But when a tcp port is entered the request is blocked by ISA too...

This will help on allowing people in our organizing to be able to update their own Clients without the IT department needing to be involved everytime you do an update. I'm trying to create a utility for creating an XML file from a excel file for import of a queue setup in FileZilla. I've got everything but the remote server path. Example:

If I try and transfer images in an Images Folder all the images get sent to the root. I can't figure out how to create folders and the folder structure used by FileZilla. I exported a queue I created with filezilla to see the xml source and there are strange numbers used Example:

the server-protcol at the top, the queue at the bottom and the quick-connect-bar

I was just uploading some files, using filezilla (sftp). And I noticed that the queue size was correct below 1GiB, but just more jumped to 2GiB ?

I am using the dutch localisation (if it matters)

If you put into queue whole directory from FTP server then files are added in inverse filename order. For example: Server directory My_dir have files like: My_name01.xx My_name02.xx My_name03.xx ... My_name12.xx

And if you put whole directory to queue (not by select all files and put to queue, but goto parent directory and insert into queue directory My_dir) then files in queue are in order: My_dir\My_name12.xx My_dir\My_name11.xx ... My_dir\My_name02.xx My_dir\My_name01.xx

This is minor bug only but I prefer to have files in filename ascending order.

Or the best solution - user sorting type from Remote list window. Or make sorting type in this case configurable (by name, time of creation, modification etc.) in Filezilla configuration.

Queue item cleared anyway when transfer fails due to permission denied on target.

The "Critical file transfer error" message is difficult to spot in the log window when transferring a lot of files.

Preferred behaviour would be for item to remain in the queue, with status reflecting the appropriate error, so user can detect this easily.

I'm using Filezilla Client 2.2.14a. In past versions, after I made the initial connection and started the queue processing, I could disconnect from the primary FTP site and the queue would continue transfering. I could then connect and disconnect independently from the "Q" button.

Now when I press the disconnect button on the toolbar, the primary connection is disconnected AND the queue disconnects and shows "Transferring" in the status window (but nothing is actually transferring). At that point I cannot restart the queue until I close the program and restart it. The queue does not respond to the "Q" button.

Please do not misunderstand: this is not a repeated "inverse queue" bug; rather an inconsistency wich (at least for me and many people i know) almost everytime creates time-consuming work of priority rescheduling: If I manually create a local directory and download the _contents_ of a remote directory into it, they are perfectly in alphabetical order in the queue. If I directly download the remote folder, the contained files are being downloaded in inverse order compared to the above method. This is particularily neccesary for sequentially numbered image strips, sounds, etc.

Items in exported queue contain password (albiet encrypted) even when "Don'tRememberPassword=1". I would think queued servers would need to reauthenticate when "Don't Remember" was set.

The upload status in the queue is appearing at the top of the queue window, with only a blank space appearing under the file currently being uploaded. This misplaced status line is covering the clickable sort headers (e.g. "Server/Local file", "Direction", "Remote file"); these headers reappear if moused-over, but disappear again when the status is redrawn.

The queue window doesn't list correct file names once queue processing has started and multiple files are being processed.

The screenshot attached shows three files that wait to be downloaded from a remote host. If Queue processing is enabled via the context menu, the display changes. The last file is displayed twice, the one before it is not displayed anymore. This changes when one actually selects the second file, in that case the list display is refreshed with the correct information.

It has nothing to do with multiple threads - for creating the screenshots I just used a single thread for simplicity.

This is a redraw problem only - the files downloaded are always the ones that were selected for download in the first place.

FileZilla version used: 3.0.4.1

OS used: Windows XP Prof. SP2

When the queue is actively transferring, it resets the queue list scroll position to the top every time it starts a new file.

The effect is that if a large set of small files are trasferring, it's nearly impossible to scroll down through the queue while it's active.

I don't see any reason for this behaviour -- it's probably just a default (correct me if I'm wrong).

Queued files are NOT being converted to successful transfers after the file has been successfully transfered. The transfer seems to complete, but the file remains in the "Queued Files" folder and is never moved to the "Successful Transfers" folder. The files I am transferring are Zip files and are being successfully transferred. I am having no problems with the transferred files being corrupted.

When more than one file is dragged from the local site to the remote site and uploads are started immediately, the "Queued files" tab only shows that 2 files are being transferred (as seen by the progress bar and elapsed time) even though more than 2 files are actually being transferred. My test used 5 files at one time. Monitoring the server, I can see that all 5 are being moved at the same time and not just 2.
