It seems that "Quick connect"("快速连接" in Chinese version) feature in version 3.3.0.1 doesn't use the config in the site manager. So I have to use Site Manager to login some servers with connection limitations or others with special config.

FileZilla has potential to be an excellent tool for queuing multiple local file copying operations. This would be beneficial since multiple simultaneous read/write operations are inefficient. FileZilla would simply need to access the local site as both source and destination (by using both the local site and the remote site panels). This functionality has been successfully mimicked by setting the host as ​ftp://127.0.0.1 (without having to set up any local FTP shares). However, the use of FTP in this process adds an unnecessary layer of processing that slows the transfer (when compared, in my case, to using Finder). For optimal speeds, FileZilla would need to implement an option to access the local filesystem directly for both local site and remote site.

Note: SFTP was also tested, but benchmarked significantly slower than FTP.

Allow crawling through compressed archives from within FileZilla, and then allow uploading of parts of the archive, as if the archive is an extension of the file system.

I have some files with names like %%A2^A20A20EED44%%news.inc.php (php smarty compiled template files), and I cannot add them to the queue by drag and drop. The file is just not added to the queue on drop. It can be added however through the context menu. Happens on both Win and Linux.

I recently noticed that a .txt file from a Unix machine was download as binary to a windows machine, even though "txt" is in the ASCII file list. The file is named like filename.20091204.165157742.txt. I am guessing that the reason for this is because it sees the text after the first "." as the extension and not the text after the last "." as the extension. I would contend that only the text after the last "." should be looked at for the extension. This is consistent with how windows works (don't know about other OSes).

In the partial log below, A Windows -> Windows transfer occured. Transfer -> Transfer Type is set to auto. ASP, ASPX, ASPX.CS, and ASPX.VB are text files and should be transferred as ASCII.

it would be mighty useful if you could filter out hidden folders and files when uploading folder contents. For example, I have to upload folder content result, which is automatically created and contains invisible files and folders which don't need to be uploaded

Maybe this can even be extended by adding additional file filter types to prevent uploading if they are in a folder.

Now my file is filename.Config. Edit this file will open in VisualStudio.

Changing to: Config "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe"

will solve but it is good to ignore case.

As of a few versions ago, when I open Filezilla I get an error about not being able to load the filezilla.xml file, so none of my setting are saved. I can't find that file anywhere on my hard drive, so it's not surprising that Filezilla has trouble loading it; but what do I do about it? I've seen this issue on the forums but none of the "answers" have actually helped me. Am I supposed to create the file myself? Can I download the file from the Filezilla website? Thanks...

FileZilla 3.3.0.1 has been working fine until today. The software update was from Apple to update Airport Utility. But I don't think that would cause FileZilla not to launch.

I'm using FileZilla Server 0.9.33 downloaded on 12/7/2009 (although the server interface reports it as 0.9.33 BETA) on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and FileZilla client 3.3.0.1 on Windows Vista x64 Home Premium.

I was trying to access UNC's defined to the server, but I couldn't get it to work as defined in the forum sticky, and there was no response on the forums. So I thought about it, and decided a shortcut in the Home directory might work. And it did.

However, the shortcut appears in the client as both a folder and a .lnk file. The folder works as expected. The .lnk file can be downloaded. I also tested using Firefox 3.5.5 as the client, and both the folder and the .lnk file appear there, too. So I suspect this is a problem with the server.

I suggest that shortcuts appear only as the objects they link to. In my case, I should only see the folder in the client. In the case of a linked file, only the destination file should be seen.

Perhaps this should be an option in the server settings. But at a minimum, the .lnk itself should not be seen in the client, only the destination.

Set the value of Downloads to "Overwrite file if size differs or source file is newer" behave incorrectly as "Ask for action". It worked correctly if set to "Overwrite file source file is newer".

Is it possible to have an option to connect only with a SSL connection that can be "Authentification SSL" or "Implicit SSL" ?

Because many sites only can translate files less than 30M, so filezilla client need to compress and split file when send files to server, and do the contrary Activities when get files from server.

FileZilla Client 3.3.0.1 issuea a STOR doesn't wait for the FTP server to send a reply (assumes positive) and starts sending the selected file immediately after the STOR command. Wireshark dump available, if needed. This patch should fix this issue, but I'm warning: I didn't compile FileZilla after patching (too old system), so I don't know if it compiles (should) or works. Even if it doesn't, I hope it will "push" you in the right direction. Check if this could fix the "file uploaded, but zero length" series of bugs.

My Setup: FileZilla Client 3.3.0.1 on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, Apple's FTP sharing server on MacOSX 10.6.2, working in gigabit local area network.

After I updated FileZilla to the current version on Win7, I successfully transfered 5 files to the FTP server. It was always the same file, I just modified it multiple times between the uploads. So after uploading this file 5 times, I tried to upload it another time. FileZilla tried to start the download, but instantly after starting, the network connection gets broken - I don't have any connection to my network now. I can use Windows' "troubleshoot problems" feature from the network icon's context menu, which will say the following:

Problems found The connection between your access point, router, or dable modem and the Internet is broken -- Detected The default gateway is not available -- Fixed

After that, the network connection works fine. But as soon as I start a transfer with FileZilla, it breaks every time. This is permanent, restarting FileZilla or rebooting Windows does not help.

FTP transfers with the Windows Explorer work fine.

I also tested this on Windows Server 2008 R2. The issue is quite the same except that instead of breaking the network connection, FileZilla instantly freezes the whole OS when uploading the file for the 6th time and afterwards. There isn't even a bluescreen, and no way to recover except for the reset button on my PC. The server is installed on the same hardware as 7. I had Windows XP installed on it before, and there were no issues with FileZilla.

I had an older version of FileZilla (can't remember which one) installed on Windows 7 before updating to 3.3.0.1, it showed the same behaviour. After updating, it did 5 successful transfers and then re-entered this permanent error state.

It might be a driver problem, but I see no reason why the transfer would succeed the first 5 times and fail afterwards - there has to be some FileZilla-specific problem behind it. Also, there are no problems with the Windows Explorer FTP feature.

It would be useful if Filezilla Client could show a diff of the remote file against the local version, launched via the context (right-click) menu.

The differences between files could be shown either using basic diff command output, or perhaps make the application configurable so that users can select WinMerge or Kompare, for example, depending on preferences and platform.

I had some folders in which were uploaded some hidden linux files *.*~ (with a trailing tilde). I was unable to view these files and delete folders that contained them. (I solved using winscp who recognize them)

I am creating hosts in the Site Manager portion of Filezilla but the port numbers for some sites that do not use the default port 21 are not saving. I am having to connect to some SSL/TLS connections and they require port 990. After I manually put in port 990 in Site Manager for a site that requires an SSL/TLS connection I am able to connect but if I restart Filezilla the port number is lost and it tries to revert back to using port 21.

The verion of Filezilla I am running is 3.3.0.1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sometimes (from time to time, maybe this depend on mix utf8 and iso-8859-2 coding and server configuration) I have a problem with download files contains specific characters such as ą,ę,ł,ż,ź,ć,ń (from polish language). These names of files are displayed correctly but transfer ends in failure.

The seconds portion of time/datestamp always displays "00" on all files on our AIX servers. I am using filezilla client version 3.3.01. The date and hour:min are all correct only the seconds are affected. I just noticed this but am sure that this was not the case in the past.

The Filezilla server version I used is 0.9.29 Beta.In the General settings, if I modified the Number of Threads to 1(I have 2 processor in my Windows2008), So there shouldn't be 3 or more FTP sessions, but there really be 3 sessions run in the status pannel, after the third session created, it will take over one of the session which is running before, the session was discard when the task isn't over. In my opinion, the third session should wait till the prior is over.

Our banking software uses a fixed set of commands to check and then send information to an FTP server. While testing Filezilla, all the commands sent work up to the STAT command. The jobs fail because Filezilla sends back an error message when receiving STAT. I would like to know if it is possible to have Filezilla recognize and respond to the STAT command.

There are other commands issued after that as well, which are PORT, STOR FILES, and QUIT. I'd like to know if they work with Filezilla as well.

Server ftp in UTF8 mode. The problem is that I have many files with the same foreign char in name (as ą or ł or ć or ż, etc.) but only a few of them (of files) are not able to download. So when I take such kind of file from "failed transfers" and rename it (get rid of the char from name) and restore back the name (again rename and write the missing char) I'm able to download this file.

This has been the case for several versions now. I have some subdirectories in my web account that begin with a period/dot ".". I can enter the directories manually in the address bar of FZ, but they otherwise will not show in the server file list.

In the latest FileZilla (I currently have beta, but stable should be the same anyway), I would like the tabs to be re-arrangeable. Also, maybe extend this function to have the tabs be able to move to another filezilla window.

Due to various reasons, sometimes I want the bandwidth limits in place and sometimes I don't. It would be nice if I could toggle the bandwidth limits using a button on the toolbar.

I have found it to be annoying that it asks me what I want to do when trying to connect to another server when I'm connected to a server already. I have no desire to use the "tab" feature and would like to always abort my current connection and connect to the new server. Consider this a request for a legacy option/behavior.

It would be nice to have a menu item when you right click that allows you to add a new bookmark for this location or add the remote/local path to the advanced tab.

Just a little step I thought would be handy when using Filezilla.

I see two tickets concerning Filezilla and Comcast have been closed with the comment that it must be a server issue. I can log on with version 2.1.13a which I've kept around specifically for this purpose, however, none of the 3 builds will.

I'm not real up on ftp, but the one is opening an ASCII connection and the other binary. I've tried forcing ASCII with the transfer menu but it seems to have no effect.

If this is a server issue (no other FTP client fails to list but I do see the child processes message with Firefox) please let me know what it is so I can speak with knowledge to the tech people.

When setting speed limits at particular times, it is not being written to the xml file properly under Win7 64 bit

I often use many files for editing at the same time in one editor session( Textpad 5.3.1 from Helois Softwae solutions) . In the editor is the option 'Allow multiple instances to run' set to NO. When I open a selection of files the editor runs more than one time with a varying number of files opened. Quite annoying when one has to do the same changes for each opened session. I don't meet this problem when I use Explorer or WS-FTP 95 LE

Since version 3.3, FileZilla Client offers a tabbed interface permitting to connect to multiple servers at the same time.

But with FileZilla Client 3.3.1, all commands and messages of ALL FTP servers are displayed interspersed inside the SAME message log pane, without any indication of the associated FTP server.

That makes the messages inside the log pane very difficult to interpret.

In order to improve that, I suggest to attach 1 dedicated message log pane to each server tab.

When I click the tab on the remote server to sort by FILENAME, the list comes up in 2 sections, both alphabetized. Why does the list go A-Z and then start over at A-Z???

When a connection is done by entering the server, user, password and port, the background of the quick connect bar and of the menu bar gets overriden by the status information.

I think it would be great to have a new command-line option to tell filezilla-client to connect to multiple servers at startup - each server opened in a different tab. Now that filezilla has this tab-feature it would be an useful implementation.

when connecting to SFTP-Filezilla Server, I can not resume files anymore. It always starts from the beginning. This used to work with older versions. Server configuration has not been changed, just client updated. Log is attached.

FileZilla Settings > Autoban if a digit is keyed in for instance 1, a popup appears saying "Attempts has to be a number between 5 and 999." and it should be say the minimum number is 10 as the interface already tells. If for instance the number 5 is keyed in, you can save and the value is set to 10 instead.

When you type a path in the local site path that is incorrect a message is displayed that indicates it failed to change directory. This is fine and good. What is not is that after you click OK or hit 'enter' your cursor is moved from the end of the Local site path box to the beginning. This is annoying because it requires that you hit right arrow or click to the end of the box to re-enter the new path in the box. If it removed the incorrect path and left the cursor at the end of the box it would be perfect.

When I delete a file, the selection in the filelist will be removed. So after deleting a file I can't use the arrow-keys to move to the next file.

As far as I remember, in Version 2.xx of FileZilla, this worked fine. So when I deleted a file, then the next or the previous file in the list was automatically selected.

I hope this can be re-implemented in FileZilla 3.

When under Remote Desktop session, attempt to bring FileZilla from the system tray will hang FileZilla.

It would be great to be able to click a button that saves the current local and remote directores as the default connection directories for the current saved site.

At the moment it is possible to set this up in the advanced tab of the site manager. However we work (we are a web agency) with hundreds of sites and it would be fantastic to be able to save these with a single click.

hi, it would be nice than when updating a folder with multiple files, filezilla would first upload any not already existing files , and then overwrite already existing files at the end. I got the feeling that filezilla, just update files in "order". Sorry if I'm mistaken. I think it should give priority to newly added files. By the way, when you overwrite a folder with an other, Win 7 does this: it copy without asking new files, and only at the end, ask if you want to overwrite already existing files.

I had problems due to a bad translated item in the Portuguese language because the term used to translate the act of "entering a directory" (In portuguese up to now shows "Inserir diretório" - what is wrong in my oppinion) means "insert" and entering is one thing and inserting is another very different thing.

The way it is now ("Inserir diretório") suggests that clicking the folder, a NEW SUB DIRECTORY will be created inside the folder instead of opening it.

IMHO the best translation for the act of "entering/browsing a directory/folder" would be "Entrar no diretório" that means to "Go into the directory".

This words "Inserir diretório" must be changed, this expression is only valid when you are CREATING a sub directory not when you are just browsing it.

The correct translation for this item is "Entrar no diretório"

The windows version had a site manager drop down which isn't included in the mac version. Could this be added?

I have multiple accounts for a variety of different people and it is sometimes necessary to switch to another account using the filezilla client. Generally when I do this the directory listing of the previous connection is still displayed even though I have opened a new connection. The only way I can display the new listing is by exiting the filezilla client and restarting it using the new connection.

I use Filezilla client 3.3.1 on XP. I can view the ftp site through IE shows correct year but in Filezilla shows everything 2010 instead.

While using the firezilla client I am frequently switching ftp servers and I keep using CTRL+A in the host/username/password/port fields for select all but it doesn't work. Right clicking and clicking select all works but is too time consuming and the shortcut would be much nicer. Thanks

Each time I receive and install an update, a temp file is created in my temp directory called nsh505.tmp and I cannot delete this file from the folder. The only way it dissappears is to re-boot. Pleas advise...thank you

1) We have a rapidSSL wildcard SSL certificate such as *.domainname.com and when I connect to something.domainname.com, filezilla still gives me the warning, even though it is a valid SSL certificate which is recognized without warning by both firefox and internet explorer over regular https.

Once we accept the certificate once, we never have the issue again (as long as we select to save our answer so it doesn't ask again)

however, it would be nice if filezilla could authenticate wildcard certs similar to what IE and firefox do over regular https for wildcard certs.

2) There is no way to see the downloaded SSL certificates so that you can review the list / clear it if necessary to force an full SSL cert check again at the next connection. (If there is a way, I couldn't find it).

I did find the file: C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\trustedcerts.xml so it's nice to know I can clear them out myself. However, it would be nice to have the option in the filezilla client in the future.

You could offer a way to look at the saved/trusted SSL certs and allow us to view them and delete them. That would be useful for us.

There are occasions where I have files that are out of the norm - binary files w/o any extension for example. Consider adding a right-click option for upload/download to include upload_special/download_special. The "special" pick would allow a one-shot override of the ASCII / Binary / AUTO config setting.

Logging System in filezilla server is very poor. It would be nice to log per user, per group, and per actions. I would like to see, from the log file, what files has a client download. Also it would be nice for the user to make his own perriod of every log file not only per day. I have read and some other ideas in other tickets. I think the Logging System needs a review...

hello i've got a problem with filezilla and it hasn't been corrected with the last release. my problem is: when i send more than one file on my 'freebox' (wich is a multimedia box gaved by my internet provider 'free' in france) make me a windows blue error with memory cache copy on the hardisk. I didn't have that problem before with vista but it have appeared with my new operating system windows 7 v7100. my computer is a vaio vgn-fw11M

When I drag and drop a file from the windows browser on to the FileZilla window (open on the FTP server page) the file uploads corretly. However after it is completed, I get another pop-up asking to overwrite the file. It seems that a second upload wants to start with the same file.

This started happening about 1-2 weeks ago,

The local list view pane for local files in a directory with many files (not sure exactly how many), or perhaps large files, is prohibitively slow on my Windows 7 machines. It brings Filezilla to a crawling halt.

Steps to reproduce issue:

1. Start a large file transfer from a remote source to a local external HDD.
2. Close Filezilla before xfr is complete.
3. Disconnect or turn off external HDD.
4. Reopen Filezilla.

   A message appears saying that the file cannot be found for writing. The file is removed from the bottom pane.

5. Reconnect/turn on the external HDD.

   The file does not reappear in the bottom pane of Filezilla.

6. Close and Reopen Filezilla.

   The file still does not reappear.

Originally, the file as shown by Windows XP, displayed a file size of 15,569 bytes. I uploaded the file to the Linux server and FileZilla read a file size of 15,501 bytes even though Windows reported a 15,569 byte file size.

I discovered that one specific character within the file caused the problems. I believe it was a null (character 0) character that caused the problems. Anyways, I do not know if FileZilla 3.3.1 failed to report the size correctly or if the Linux OS failed to report the size correctly. FileZilla showed two different sizes for the files on the two different systems.

I copied and pasted what I thought was text to a file but it had a character in it that SciTE accepted (but displayed as a space character Hex:20h, Decimal:32). I ran into this problem once before a long time ago, but I believe I used WS-FTP32 in that case.

Anyways, the problem that exists with FileZilla, as I see it, is that FileZilla would be a little better if it analyzed the file before it uploaded it, and if FileZilla found a binary character in an ASCII (text) file, it probably should alert the user.

One other thing, if it detects that the uploaded file is 15,501 bytes while the file to get uploaded (the source) is 15,569, I feel it should report that to the user with a possible explanation for the differences in size.

in some cases i want to change the maximum connection speed on the fly. is there a way to implement these settings in the status bar?

I have a dependency tracking module in my app. List of all needed files is created in a text file.

I'd like that Filezilla could automatically upload files listed in specified text file.

When i doubleclick an afp-file the file will be transferred to the temporary folder and the associated program (AFPBROWSE.exe from Beta Systems) is started, but the browser does not open the file.

I've got a folder on my FTP server, with a space as name. It is impossible to access this folder using FileZilla Client. It looks like FileZilla takes the last modified date in a weird format (Jan 18 15:38) as "name" (and doesn't show anything in the "last modified" column), so the folder is "not found" when I'm trying to do anything with it.
I hope you can fix this annoying bug...

when I am updating my web site, I will typically

0. connect
1. change local directory
2. change remote directory
3. upload files
4. edit some files with my editor
5. change local directory
6. change remote directory
7. upload files
8. goto step 4
9. disconnect when done.

the connection stops working. I no longer get directory listings. I haven't tried doing an upload to see if it works when this happens. it happens after about the 2nd set of files.

One of my user is able to connect to one site through filezilla.But some days back when my network engineer did a change in routing.He is unable to connect to it.

However i am able to connect to the site from same office with freshly installed filezilla.Is there any option to clean the old value stored in users pc.I have uninstalled and reinstalled filezilla in the user pc but still no luck.

If in the application settings a proxy enabled, and the proxy password field is emtpy, then request for a password, when connect to a ftp server, that want use this proxy.

With filezilla set to passive mode, a new connection to the server is created. This session will remain logged in for the duration of the server timeout setting. However, if a file is transfered during this session, as soon as the file is uploaded, we see about 55 seconds before the connection times out. For whatever reason, the time out seems to change after a file is uploaded.

I have my default "File Exists Action" set to "Ask For Action". I connect to a server by FTP. The first time I upload a file it asks me what action to take and I choose "Overwrite" and I do not select the "Always use this action" box. I can repeat this upload many times and it behaves correctly allowing me to choose to overwrite. After I have worked on something else for a while while leaving Filezilla running, making code modifications, for example, I then upload the same file again and it has forgotten that I want to be asked about overwriting.

The client continues to fail to prompt me until I restart the application, then it behaves properly again for an undefined period of time. The method I am using to trigger an upload is to drag a file from an Explorer window into the file list box of the Filezilla GUI. The times it has occurred, Filezilla has always been partially hidden behind other applications but I don't know how that affects it.

I will try some additional testing and see if I can reliably reproduce the problem.

It's really bad:I cannot connect to any server and it's not a firewall issue [the build-in windows ftp-client CAN!]. So far I remember, a do not know which previous version was usable for me.

I maintain three Windows Sites at AMHOSTING.COM. These all require ACTIVE transfer mode. Now, all three sites no longer work with FileZilla.

The earlier version worked fine. Native FTP sessions with (from Windows NT; Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit) FTP sessions using SMARTFTP (using ACTIVE transfer) work fine.

It would be nice if there was a way to see the Total Time that a transfer took to complete (or fail for that matter). Would like to see a Total Time column in both the Succesful Transfers window and the Failed Transfers window. That way, for large files, you can check back after they have completed and see how long it took.

First of all when clicking the toggle processing of the transfer queue button on the toolbar doesn't stay depressed. Also if I double click on any local file it immediately transfers the file even though the button doesn't indicate that processing is enabled AND there is no check on the Transfer > Process Queue menu item. When there are files being transferred then both button and menu change to show that they are enabled from the disabled state. So what's the point? I would like to halt all processing and set up a transfer queue and once I'm done adding and removing files from the queue, I would like to toggle the processing and let <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'><font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>Filezilla</font></font> do its magic.

I would also like to export/import a queue and I'm assuming that's what the menu items do but unfortunately I can't stop <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'><font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>Filezilla</font></font> from transferring in time to test that.

Also if I manage to quickly hit the toggle button while it's transferring I can stop it, but as soon as I add something else to the queue it start back up on its own without any indication that I want it to.

I got this error when i tried to remote edit a file.

The file 'index.php' cannot be opened: The associated program (WX_DDE#"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Dreamweaver.exe","index.php"##System#) could not be found.

The listing in a directory is truncated to 2000 files. herewith, you can't copy a directory or can't see the complete contents. Request: can the Output truncated to 2000 matches be arrange in the settings, in that way that you can change the number ? Seems the process queue is not preserved incase of a outage or windows blue screen.

seems to work if click close and say OK to the confirm box where it pauses queue and disconnects from server

so when you enter filezilla you can right click and say process queue again and it resumes from where left off

Im using the latest client

I use Windows 7 and everytime I scroll completely down on the client side to show the last file, Filezilla Client hangs up and all I can do is to close the process. So I won't be able to upload the last item to the server.

Problem:

1st popup: "failed to write xml"

2nd popup: "can't open file 'C:\Users\[myuseracctname]\AppData\Roaming\filezilla\filezilla.xml' (error 1224: the requested orperation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.)

!!! I don't recall having user-mapped anything, let alone filezilla.xml !!!

When FileZilla Client 3.3.1 deletes a remote directory, it disables the folder comparison feature but doesn't re-enable it afterwards.

When this feature needs to be disabled, Filezilla should remember the status of this feature and re-set it after completing the task.

When transfering complex subdirectory structures from a Linux server to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, FileZilla client leaks considerable amounts of memory, several kByte per file transferred: after 104245 files in 9000 subdirectories, memory consumption rises to 260 MByte. Further transfers then take hours to complete.

Steps i did: 1)Open filezilla verion 3.2.4.1 2)Click "Nieuwe versie beschikbaar!" button (Im using the Dutch version) 3)Select 3.3.1 (only option available) 4)press volgende (Next) 5)press Opslaan (Save) (without changing default download settings, set to <usernam>/downloads) Result: Popup screen saying "Time creation failed"

When I attempt to connect to Windows 2008 IIS ftp server I manage to connect, however when FileZilla attempts to list the directory contents it fails. Settings the debug level to 4 I see:

Using the Windows FTP client, I am able to connect and list the directory contents without any error.

I'm not sure if it's relevant or not, but the user ID I have to use includes the domain (i.e. username = <domain>\<user ID>).

It would be helpful to be able to set a SMPT server for E-mail notification once the transfers are uploaded/downloaded.

Damn you make this hard. When I installed the latest version, it stopped retaining the port number in quickconnnect. If I try to copy the about box I get an error.

I downloaded the new version of FZ as prompted just now. Everything installed as expected, but if I select a server via Site Manager, the address is resolved to an I.P. but the connection is not made. FZ is not hanging or crashing, it's still operable on the client side, but it will not make the connection to the remote server. I've checked access to servers by going through browser and pinging sites etc, so internet connection is good. _ FileZilla Client

I am using site specific bookmarks but these are effective only on the local site but not on the remote site of the FTP connection. Are there any rules to specify the remote directory in a bookmark ? I have Filezilla client 3.3.1

This is not the problem tracked and solved (I searched). This is a new one. Using 3.3.1. When on the remote side there is a file that has a leading blank in the name AND the first letter is a capital one, transfer fails. Using ftpd on FreeBSD 7.2 p4 x86 on remote server. Steps to reproduce:

• go in console on the ftp server and enter the ftp root
• cp any file from the system: cp /var/log/messages .
• from the client all works ok and can transfer messages file
• mv messages \ messages
• from the client it is ok again, with leading space
• mv \ messages \ Messages
• the client fails to transfer the file

Tried with any kind of file/permission combo, blank+capital seems to be the culprit. HTH Bye

There seems to be a bug in directory listening.

The problem folder is named " #complete# ". Using no ssl connection there is no problem with listening this directory, but if I use FTPES the status window gives following error message:

Fehler: GnuTLS error -9: A TLS packet with unexpected length was received. Status: Server hat die TLS-Verbindung nicht ordnungsgemäß geschlossen Fehler: Could not read from transfer socket: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted

All other directorys work fine. Even subfolders from #complete# are accessible via the direct url.

To solve the problem I tried to force utf8 characters in servermanager settings. This had no effect.

Would be nice if you could resolve this bug.

Changing attributes on and deleting many (1000+) files takes quite some time, and seem to be limited to one connection.

Would it be possible for these requests to be queued or at least respect the maximum simultaneous transfers setting?

Also, whilst performing these actions, it is not possible to browse/perform other actions on the remote site.

It would be useful to be able to see why a file has failed to transfer. If you're transferring many files, it's not easy to find the failed file's server log/response.

When navigating through folders a single click very often leads to a file or folder renaming. More than that, sometimes when I double click on the folder - it requests this folder's contents AND activates renaming feature, so when it finishes listing new folder - old renaming box stays on the screen, as if now you are renaming a file or a folder inside this new listed folder. If you hit Return - then a file in this new folder will be renamed to the name of a file from a previous folder.

I think it's a high priority bug, since I had to stop using Filezilla completely.

When visiting a sequence of sites to download log files your system requires a second entry of a password despite the box to remember the password being ticked. Sequence of events -

1. Log onto first site, download, no problem.
2. Log onto second site, closing first option.
3. download but one file requires second entry of password whereas the rest don't.
4. Happens on every subsequent site visited during the session.

Also, why force users to go through several barriers to entry before they can report a bug. I have often not bothered becuase of your beaurocratic insistence on accounts. As a result bugs are not reported on time or at all.
