Filter out hidden files and folders when uploading

Description
Hi,
it would be mighty useful if you could filter out hidden folders and files when uploading folder contents.
For example, I have to upload folder content result, which is automatically created and contains invisible files and folders which don't need to be uploaded
Maybe this can even be extended by adding additional file filter types to prevent uploading if they are in a folder.
