After I installed the latest version of Filezilla today, I could no longer see the files in the upload queue. I can't see the failed and complete ones either, aside from the the upload queue. I rebooted and nothing.

I have this strange problem ever since I got Filezilla 3.2.4.1:

When I right-click on the columns in the remote view, I get the pop-up showing the visible columns, and they're all set to be visible.

However, the following columns don't show up:

• Last modified
• File type
• Permissions

This strange behaviour happened after the updater got me a new version.

I'm running filezilla on a dutch localized Windows Vista 64 bit with SP1 installed.

I tried searching the ticket database with a couple of keywords, but no bug report similar to my problem showed up. I hope I've provided any information necessary. If not, I'd be happy to supply it.

Filezilla worked great for a few weeks. Then it quit logging in successfully. i eventually found debug and turned it on. now i see the problem it tells me is that it could not complete directory download. after setting my host default path to a very small directory, i find that it got all the files for list, but it hangs after the last folder. i've tried increasing the timeout to 60 seconds. but no help. i've tried using coreftp lite and it works. but i really like Filezilla more. If you have some way to fix this, i would really appreciate it.

I'm using 3.4.2.1 Korean version in WindowsXP.

Some folder have korean name.

When I cliked korean folder, I can see the file in it.

But korean folder's name changed into unreadable character.

and I can't access other korean folder.

If folder's name contains other language,

this problem happens.

I think there is encoding problem.

FileZilla client is connected to an FTP server. The local directory is the same as the remote directory. Now, I edit local file using context menu and 'Edit' option (my editor is Notepad++). When I save the file, FileZilla asks me if I want to upload file. I click yes and the file is uploaded, but the changes in file's size are not reflected in neither local directory listing nor remote directory listing. They both show old file size.

When I delete files from remote directory, FileZilla asks me, if I want to delete them. It would be nice if the message was more informative, eg. the number of files to be deleted was displayed.

When I start FileZilla I ca definitely hear the sound of floppy drive seek (the drive is empty). What is FileZilla doing with floppy drives?

Version 2.x didn't exhibit this behavior.

When starting Filezilla sftp sessions using command-line, a feature to force Filezilla to interactively prompt in dialog for user and/or password at start. This would be very usefull when starting Filezilla connections from other applications/Infrastructure databases. If for security reasons, you do NOT want to supply the password on the command line or in a site definition.

Currently (v3.2.4.1) Filezilla command-line sftp, if user/password i omitted, Filezilla just tries with empty fields (or anonymous?)

Case 1 Running: "C:\Program Files\FileZilla Client\filezilla.exe" ​sftp://hostname:22 Feature: Filezilla prompts interactively in dialog for user and password.

Case 2 Running: "C:\Program Files\FileZilla Client\filezilla.exe" ​sftp://root@hostname Feature: Filezilla prompts interactively in dialog for password.

Proposed solutions: 1a. Change default connection option to "Interactive" when user and/or password is NOT in command-line 1b. Add argument (ex "-i" for interactive) that force Filezilla to interactively prompt for user/password. (Any command/line supplied user/password could be entered as suggestion)

2. Add the same functionality for FTP

After the download of the new FileZilla version has been started there is an error message "Timer creation failed.". The download completes successfully despite of that, but there is no progress information shown and the progress bar stays empty.

Upgrading from version 3.2.4 works fine for me. I first saw this message when upgrading from version 3.2.4.1 to 3.2.5-rc1. The issue seems to happen with 3.2.5-rc1 as well.

the progress bar is missing after I enque a large number of files (don't know if this is relevant). I've transferred many files before and always had a progress bar, so I can't say what I've done different this time. here's what it looks like:

I'd like the passwords in recentservers.xml and sitemanager.xml to be encoded. Lately, quite a few trojan horses harvest FTP logins for mass infection of websites. I think it's necessary to make ftp login harvesting as hard as possible, thus encryption of passwords seems much needed.

Directory comparison button options (on right click) looks like not shown correctly... probably there should be an menu radio buttons for "Compare filesize" and "Compare modification time" options (or they should be organized as an checkboxed items...)

The another negative of the current button (which control so useful functionality) is that looks like it doesn't keep it's default state.. i.e. it doesn't turns on after it was turned off automatically after for example out of synchronization root.

its would be nice feature if FileZilla have an option to delete file after the file downloaded (if user access can do that). delete file after download can very usefull for limited space server for (just) file exchange only.

in filezilla 2 we could schedule an upload task and have filezilla execute it then close its self with ease. The reasons why it was removed baffle me.

Its a rather effortless feature that would make filezillas, threading, comaprison and stability all the more useful. There is nothing that would compare to filezilla for such tasks if it had this feature. I've spent over 40h looking for a good incremental ftp backup tool. So far the best one is filezilla, even without automated backups.

Programs like bonkey take ages to compare files and they do not thread uploads. It takes bonkey 24 minutes to update a folder without changes, while filezilla takes only 21 seconds with threading enabled.

This is a minute change that goes a long way and would make a world of difference. If you refuse it please tell me something that can do threaded incremental updates to folders through FTP and takes command line options.

I was created folder ' ' (3 spaces). Filezilla shows me it creation time (14:22) instead real name.

We want to use Filezilla on our Terminal Server (Win 2003) but want to use one single configurationfile and hide the settingswindow for the users. Is there any way to do this? Tried placing the filezilla.xml in various places but this didn't work, so I think its not possible atm. Any Chance to get it?

I think this program should have an option to minimize to traybar, so you can leave it there downloading/uploading.

When uploading or downloading a file, it should have the possibility to change the ftp address. Sometimes we are using an local FTP like 10.0.10.10 and then we need to log out of the network and go home, but we want to continue the download easily, so the option to change the address to the real IP or vice versa would be great.

not sure it's a bug ... maybe a feature request ... ;-)

should the contents of the client directory change it seems necessary to force a refresh of the window contents by clicking on another directory ...

Filezilla 3.2.5 is not preserving timestamps, but SmartFTP is doing it flawlessly, when dragging from local window to remote window. "Preserive Timestamps..." is checked in the "Transfer" menu of Filezilla but the log shows that Filezilla is not even attempting an MFMT command. FEAT shows MFMT is supported.

If the problem is that the server isn't using seconds, then Filezilla should be more flexible to omit seconds (a feature request).

Our firewall proxy server requires username/password authentication and there is no facility to enter and/or store these details, so Update Check always fails.

It would be very useful if you could add proxy server authentication (proxy servername, port, username, password) to the Update Check option.

Since it's a server, it should be up to the admin (could be on a desktop), but easier updates would be nice.

Running Filezilla client 3.2.5, I cannot get a directory listing from certain VxWorks servers in Vista. The servers are embedded in a home controller (AMX NetLinx, to be precise) and are running VxWorks 5.5.1. Here is a copy of the exchange on my Vista machine:

Passive or active does not matter, and it is not a timeout; the failure comes immediately. On the same network, the same connection, the same router, and an identical setup, but on a machine running XP, the listing and all other operations are fine. The problem is only with my machine running Vista.

We cannot see the .htaccess on some FTP server. On the FTP Server of ​http://www.olympe-network.com/ I see the .htaccess with Adobe Dreamweaver but not with FileZilla.

Just (tried to) upgrade from 3.2.4.1 to 3.2.5

1. "inside" upgrade failed while downloading ("Timer creation failed")
2. After normal download from the website and installation of 3.2.5 over 3.2.4.1 (keeping existing setup), any attempt to connect crashes not only Filezilla, but Windows as well. Reboot.
3. ZoneAlarm firewall did NOT ask for Filezilla re-authorization, as it usually does after upgrade.
4. After downgrade to 3.2.4.1 everything is OK again.
5. If it ain't broken don't fix it...

I have a problem with FileZilla 3.2.5 I cannot copy any files to my freecpm hard disk, that only with ftp transfer available is. I get a message: 530 Server is busy .

With FileZilla version 2 is the problem not existing .

Please note: this was originally posted as ticket:4588 but was closed as being a duplicate of ticket:4508. It isn't, however: behind our firewall we bypass the proxy server, so setting the global proxy settings actually disables access to all sites within our intranet. Separate settings for Update Check (separate from global proxy settings) would resolve this problem. I'm sure many others have the same problem.

This bug had been submitted as Bug No: 4409 on 10.04.2009 for Filezilla 3.2.2.1; and was solved. It has now reappeared.

When I use the "Checkfor updates.." function on the "Help" menu on the

FileZilla Client v 3.2.2.1 (it was the same with the previous versions) the progress bar and the text below, runs off the right edge off the window. The the blue progress indicator works as expected for some time but it then hits the right edge. The text below indicates that the download is still going on. It seems that the progress bar and the text below is out of scale by a factor of 2. It needs to be reduced to half of its current width.

Sometimes the size of files, after one or more resume operation, once completed upload is different from original file.

Version of FileZilla Client is 3.2.5.

The Download and Add to Que option is disabled. I have tried disabling my firewall and included Filezilla in the exceptions. But still not working.

Tried several times to download updated version 3.2.5 and get a FileZilla error message stating "Timer creation failed".

Will not execute to install.

I have installed 0.9.3.1 beta on Windows Server 2003. I have it running as a system service. After install and setup I had no issues connecting with either an FTP client or via the FileZilla Server Administration Console.

After rebooting the server, FileZilla Server doesn't accept connections from the administration console. The administration console run locally shows that it has connected to the server and then says "connected, waiting for authentication"

It stops there.

If I run the administration console on another machine it can't connect to the server at all.

This can be resolved if I go into Task Manager on the server and kill the FileZilla Server.exe process, then start the FileZilla Server service either by going to services.msc or using the shortcut in the start menu. After I restarting the service connections are accepted normally from FTP clients, the local admin console, and an admin console run on a another computer.

IIS is installed on the server but all the services related to it are set to manual and are not running (IIS Admin Service, FTP Publishing Service, HTTP SSL, World Wide Web Publishing Service). When I first discovered this problem I thought these services were at fault so I set them to manual and stopped them but it did not resolve the issue.

We also have McAfee antivirus 8.5i installed and running and windows system firewall is off.

This days that more and more hardware is 64Bit and starting with Vista and Windows 7 more and more users will move to 64Bit operating systems. I think that a 64Bit of FileZila should exist

Here's what I do: *Open Filezilla client *Connect to my website using the website manager *Right click on an index.php file *Choose "Vis/Rediger" (English: View/Edit)

The file is downloaded but my virus scanner (Avast!) pops up with "A Virus Was Found!"

I push "No Action" (or any other button in the Avast! GUI) and Filezilla Client will show a message box: "Failed to retrieve file times for 'c:\Users\ata\AppData\Local\Temp\fz3temp-2\index.php' (error 5: adgang nægtet)"

"adgang nægtet" means "access denied"

And now for the bug: When I push the OK button, the message box pops up again with the exact same message. This behaviour continues every time I push the OK button.

The only way to close Filezilla client is to use the windows program manager.

within the past several versions of filezilla i can no longer access folders from remote sites where the first character in the folder name is a tilde (~).

you cant sort the column heading for the files your downloading.

In 3.2.6 rc1, running on Windows, data execution prevention closed filezilla after clicking on view/edit.

I couldn't find anything like this bug in the database. Apologies if its already reported.

Hello, I´m not sure if this really is a bug or a configuration issue but on the last versions of FileZilla client files bigger than 2 TB are not displayed on the remote site window. The version I´m using is 3.2.6 on Windows XP Professional Sp2 but it didn´t work on the previous version as well. A collegue of mine is running the version 3.0.11 which doesn´t show this behaviour, all files are shown correctly within his client. Best regards Harald Scherer

After upgrading to 3.2.6 I have a problem with uploading/downloading files using FTPS implicit. With 3.2.4 it is OK.

We noticed a bunch of posts this morning in a forum on FTP on our contributor site. We checked our server logs and saw no issues. We tried filezilla, the version before this last update 3.2.6, and it worked fine. We also tried it with coreftp and it also worked fine. We then updated filezilla to the latest build, 3.2.6, and there seems to be some connectivity issues now. It uploads some, but not all, files, and some of the files that were uploaded show a file size of 0. There were also times where it would just freeze on upload and you would then need to refresh to get it to continueBelow is the log from my filezilla running 3.2.6 with the issues.

Hi, I'm trying to upload a new website for a client but I'm receiving this example message:

I'm also being denied permission when trying with Dreamweaver.

Now I know the files are there and also even when I just try to create a new folder it says I do not have the permission to do so.

I did not arrange the hosting and mine is a website to replace an existing one, so was it possible that the original creator denied permission for everybody but himself.

Is this a common problem?, is there a simple fix?, one way or another I would really appreciate some help. Thanks, Glenn

I have the .gz extension associated with 7-zip, but FileZilla client starts winzip instead. Doubleclicking in Explorer does start 7-zip.

When uploading a file, if the FTP server closes the connection, FileZilla client asks me for my password in a popup for immediate reconnection.

This is annoying when the FTP server systematically closes the connection (for example because I have exceeded the limit of simultaneous connections and the server has put me on a 10 minute timeout). FileZilla's password popup steals focus from the main window so that it's impossible to stop the queue processing. Trying to close the popup just makes it open again immediately. Effectively the only way to escape the situation is to close the popup as many times as there are files on the queue.

Client: FileZilla 3.2.6, prebuilt for Windows, linked against GnuTLS 2.8.1, running on Windows Vista x64.

Server: vsftpd-2.1.2, running on RHEL-4.8, linked against OpenSSL-0.9.7a. Connecting via FTPES.

FileZilla has no trouble establing control connection, but uploading/downloading files doesn't work. vsftpd says, "Failure reading network stream".

Found info about GnuTLS' random padding in TLSv1.0 packets here: ​http://www.gnu.org/software/gnutls/manual/html_node/On-Record-Padding.html . Turning off TLSv1 support in vsftpd (that is, SSLv3 is the only SSL/TLS protocol accepted) made downloads work, but uploads still don't work; they give the same message.

Both downloads and uploads work with FileZilla 3.2.5, prebuilt for Windows against GnuTLS 2.6.4, against exactly the same vsftpd server.

Latest update 3.2.6.1 doesn't download attachments with hashed filenames from SMF Simple Machine Forum software 1.1.9 as binary although I choose binary, and unchecked []treat files without extension as asci. BTW version 3.2.6 (yesterday) with settings as above did download them as binary. BTW ws_ftp and cuteftp have no problems, even on auto.

Not sure if this is a fiezilla issue or an issue with my company's ftp server. Details for list command follow (screen-shot attached):

When I try to download a file from the remote site to the desktop either by dragging it from the remote pane to the local>desktop pane, or by using the download feature in the remote pane, it is converted into a chinese script that cannot be veiwed in IE8 or by notepad. I am currently using version 3.2.6.1 on Win XP Pro SP3 on an Intel T5500 (if that makes sense on the processor).

In previous versions of Filezilla, I was able to save many site-specific bookmarks linking a local directory with a remote directory. Currently, whenever I create a new site-specific bookmark, it overwrites the previous bookmark, allowing me to store only one bookmark at a time.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect to FTP server
2. Enter non-empty subdirectory
3. Select ".." by clicking it
4. Select all items by pressing Ctrl-A
5. Try to drop selected items to left pane in order do download them

Expected result: FZ Client allows to drag them and adds them to download quene

Current result: FF Client either beeps or starts displaying square frame as while selecting multiple items with mouse

Whe attempting to navigate directories on my server I receive a timeout error

If synchronized browsing is active and a folder contains a lot of small files (>100) the following behaviour was observed: Some files where selected and uploaded. While uploading is in progress, the folder is changed to another folder with a lot of small files (>100) on the local side. The folder is then not changed on the server side while the upload is in progress. Another folder must be selected after upload is finished to synchronize the folder view again. This happens in version 3.2.6.1 and before.

Deleting a soft link to a file sometimes deletes the target file instead of the link.

A log file is attatched where you can see the surprising "Response" of deleting the target file instead.

The remote server is Redhat Enterprise Linux 5. FileZilla Client 3.2.6.1.

After installing the first time the "basic usage instructions were in English. on the second time of opening they were in another language re- installing the programme has made no difference can this be corrected within the programme?

Filezilla 3.2.6.1, external site, arrow mouse on file, mouse right,option :"URL copy to clipboard". Then: open browser (Opera 9.64), paste URL in adress part of browser. Gives : ​ftp:// my domain name@ ftp. my domain name/folder /folder/fille.php. After enter, dialog window which asks for username and password. After filled in and sent username and password , the file is show on browser. Problem : Mistakes in some shown files on browser. Text/script which should not be there, is on the web page. I just updated to 3.2.6.1 on Windows XP Pro SP3, Intel Celeron D @3.2GHz, 2GB RAM.

Now, 95% of the time, no matter what server I connect to, uploading or downloading any file causes the program to crash.

The log attached from several attempts to upload/download from various servers (actually, just two servers: one that hosts various website for me, and ftp.microsoft.com as anonymous).

Reverting to 3.2.4.1 resolved the problem.

I'm attempting to download files from a remote site using FileZilla Client 3.2.6.1. Any files which are in the selected folder are correctly downloaded, but any folders FileZilla does a directory listing and doesn't add anything to the queue.

I think there is a clue in the remote site - it starts off when I connect with the path D:/home/\

If I go into that and enter the Default folder within home, it changes to D:/home//Default/\ I then have 2 entries in the remote folder list at the top level - each of the above entries. If I pop out D:/home/\ and try to select Default, it won't do anything and any folders that have popped out have ?s on them

If I now pop out D:/home//Default/\ and go into test.test, the remote path becomes D:/home//Default/test.test/\ and this is also added to the remote folder list.

If I continue this process further, I end up with something like D:/home//Default/test.test//htdocs/aspnet_client//system_web/2_0_50727/\ and a number of entries at the top level of the list.

The server that I am remoting to is Matrix FTP Server (from Fasthosts - provided with a dedicated server) running on Windows 2003 Server. I suspect that some of the problem may be coming from this, but I have tried it with an old copy of FileZilla 2.2.32 on my Windows XP Pro machine and that works fine - it recurses downloads perfectly and I get a path like D:/home/Default/test.test/htdocs/aspnet_client/system_web/2_0_50727/

I clicked on the + to expand a directory tree for a directory with around 2500 subdirectories. I then cliked on that directory and it listed the 2500 subdirectories in the lower pane. Each action took several seconds. Then I cliked on the next directory that had over 4,000 subdirectories. I thought it was just taking time to work, but after several minutes I realized the application had frozen. I intentionally crashed the program in Task Manager and then tried to relaunch. The program never came up. So I tried to launch the program again, and then again, still nothing. Then I realized that the Filezilla.exe was listed three times in Task manager processes, but not in applications, each instance was using about 11MB of memory. I rebooted the system, thinking that would clear it, but when I tried to launch again, it still never came up, but the exe was listed in Task Manager. I browsed around the registry to see if the program was using an obvious entry to tell it to go to the directory with 4,000 entries on open, but didn't find it. So I rebooted again and then uninstalled. I then turned around and re-installed. Same thing happened. I changed the name of the directory with 4,000 subdirectores and relaunched, no joy. Then I tried to change the name of the directory with 2,500 subdirectories, and explorer said it was being used by another program. I then re-crashed the sytem and was then able to rename the 2,500 subdir directory. I rebooted again (don't know why, just cautious I guess) and relaunched FileZilla. This time it came up. Interestingly, even though I uninstalled and re-installed, it still had all of my quickconnect entries from the initial install.

Once I upload a file and the file transfer is complete on the Client Server Side also, the file sizes on my Server and Client Server do not match, but the status is 100%.

I have following problem for a long time already but never had the time to report it:

After editing a file locally, Filezilla prompts with the "File has changed" window, if I click "yes" there to proceed with uploading, even though the message log says that the file has been uploaded and I have already given instructions to overwrite files on server at this point, the old version of the file remains still on server.

I have then to remove the file on the server first, refresh the local directory and upload the file again to make sure the new file is there.

This problem does not occur consistently but consistent enough that I would like you to look into it if possible.

I am currently on 3.2.4.1 when I try to run the update to get to 3.2.6.1 I get an error message about "timer creation failed" and it exits the update. How do I resolve this?

When I connect to a FTP site and I start with remotely renaming a file FILE1.TC to FILE1.TC1, immediately followed by uploading a file called FILE1.TC, the connection appears to have been lost.

FileZilla version: 3.2.6.1 OS: Windows Vista Ultimate SP1

Steps to reproduce: 1) log into an FTP server where you have at least two directories (say, A and B) 2) In the server pane (top right), open folder A so that all files in that folder appear in the bottom right pane 3) Drag a file from the bottom right pane to the B folder in the top right pane. Note that the mouse pointer shows we are in copy mode (plus sign).

Expected result: File is copied from folder A to folder B

Actual result: Files is moved (RNTO) from folder A to folder B

I've scoured HELP, FileZilla fora and existing tickets, but can't find any that discuss this issue. Apologies if I've missed something.

I use FileZilla to transfer files from a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) to a Windows PC. The PVR has a linux based file system, which permits numerous characters which are not permitted in Windows filenames, for example, asterisk "*", left and right angle brackets "<" and ">", back slash "\" and colon ":".

Thankfully most of these characters are rare in source file names, BUT, the worst one, colon is quite common. The PVR files often contain time stamps, in format "hh:mm:ss". When attempting to transfer such a file, the transfer fails with an error like:

Failed to open "C:\Documents and Settings\John\My Documents\Some File hh:mm:ss.txt" for writing

That's good, as it occurs immediately. However, if the source file name contains only ONE colon, like "Movie: Star Wars.mpg" the transfer proceeds, but the resulting file is unuseable from Windows. Curiously, it appears in the FileZilla window with the apparently correct name, but Windows Explorer shows it with the name only up to the colon, with no filetype extension, and a size of 0. The file appears empty when opened, despite taking considerable time to transfer (especially large video files!).

I don't really consider this a bug in FileZilla, it's more a limitation due to the differences in filesystems and the meaning of different meta-characters.

I can manually change the filename on the PVR through FileZilla before attempting the transfer, but I sometimes forget, leading to much wasted time (for some reason the network speeds of PVRs tend to be throttled, so transfers of large video files can take hours). I've seen the same behaviour on two different types of PVR.

A better solution would be to have a mechanism where I could specify certain characters in the source file specification are automatically changed into some other character, or perhaps dropped in the output file specification. For example, I could specify that ":" in a filename be translated into "_" when the file is downloaded. Thus "Movie: Star Wars.mpg" would become "Movie_ Star Wars.mpg" The translation table could be an attribute of the connection.

If done at a deep enough level, this could be made to work with directory comparison and synchronised browsing, as FileZilla would recognise the file names as being equivalent, even though they're different.

I'm thinking of a simple substitution table, defined per host, but there are many other ways to achieve the same result, for example there could be a canned table for each target operating system, or some kind of regular expression mechanism. I'm not terribly concerned about how it works, I'd just like to be able to transfer these files without having to think about them!

When downloading from a server the file timestamps are preserved, but not those for the folders. Please could you look into this?

The default mode kept giving me errors on 1and1 hosting. It took downloading coreftp, and receiving their autoprompt about switching to "active" mode for me to realize that was the problem.

Creating an autodetect, or autoprompt for this error would be a boost to user friendliness.

Some file transmissions from a SAT receiver via FTP work and some don't. Log file is attached.

filezilla 3.2.6.1 asks for properly quoted command after browsing for a file viewer/editor from dialog prompt, when trying to edit a file.

Filezilla client v3.2.6.1 OS Windows Vista ultimate sp1 intel core 2 quad processor

similar to existing ticket# 4659 but with filezilla clent instead of server. During file transfer with 85k adobe pdf file, prompted twice to overwrite existing file with same name. Upon closer inspection after transfer, file appears to be "cut" at 65k size and balance of file appears to be overwritten, but transfer terminates due to timeout.

Went to verify on second computer: filezilla v3.2.6.1 OS windows XP sp 3 intel core 2 duo

same file transferred without a problem without second prompt to overwrite existing file. Transfer is successful.

Error is repeatable with Windows vista ultimate computer and successful transfer is repeatable with windows xp computer. Appears to be specific to window vista ultimate for this case.

I want to request the following:

When someone upload some files, I want to receive an e-mail with the path of the file and filename like:

When I use the "Copy URL(s) to clipboard" action in the context menu of the remote view, and the filename contains certain characters, e.g. "č", "ě" and many others -- possibly all of which are not in the active Windows code page (for me that is CP1252), the program crashes.

I have tried several times to configure filezilla to connect to sftp.section111.cms.hhs.gov site using SSH but it will not work. Govt site is using SSH v2. Do you support this flavor of sftp? If not, can it be incorporated to the new build?

filezilla server version: 0.9.25 & 0.9.32 expandrive (​http://www.expandrive.com/windows) 1.8.3

i started with filezilla server 0.9.25 (had an old installation). i was trying to share a folder mounted with expandrive (remote sftp share) with filezilla server. I was able to select the share in windows without a problem, full directory structure visible.

when a client connected to my ftp, there were only lowercase folders visible on that share, files were showing regardless of their case.

so i thought it would be a filezilla server problem and upgraded my installation. now, it is not showing any folders inside that on ftp at all. the local view in filezilla client works fine.

i tried a different ftp server software, which works flawlessly, but i would like to continue using filezilla server.

I downloaded the newest version of FileZilla 3.2.6.1 and when clicking to install I receive and error message "Win32 setup is not a valid Win 32 Application"

FileZilla does not download the files, whose name has been used in a bulleted letters as "äöüõ " These letters are used in finnish and estonian languages same error will occured if these letter is used on directory name. Error: /Mäng Marilt.jpg: open for read: no such file or directory its possible to rename the file, and then download is possible.

I am getting the timer creation failed error when I try to download the latest version. If I try to click through it, I get a 16 Bit MS-Dos popup, when I click ignore, I get an illegal instruction error. I'm never able to complete the download. I've tried downloading through the application several times. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

filezilla write error on adding program to installation, that is impossible to install filezila on i386 system, because is not supported

but Athlon XP is not i386 but required i586

Something as simple as preventing standby as long as Filezilla is running would be great (Similar to utorrents prevent standby withacitve torrents). I could then just set Filezilla to close after the transfers are done and my PC could still enter sleep mode afterward.

I am trying to save data to my ISP's free FTP; Filezilla is configured as:

Host name dl.free.fr Port : 21 login: robert.soubie@… password : any password

When password is received, messages say :

Erreur : Erreur critique Erreur : Impossible d'établir une connexion au serveur

Freshftp, using the same data, works perfectly; so does Ontrack Easy Recovery Professional, which can send data salvaged from hard disks data to a ftp site.

I have not been able to update Filezilla as the .exe file that I save to my desktop has an error when I try to open it. It tells me it's not a valid 32-bit file. So far, I've missed the last 3 update notices I got when opening Filezilla.

The transfer of SQL files, from remote to local corrupts the file, giving it a 3 byte size (empty).

My (linux) mail server stores files as <meaningless name>:2 and when I download such a file to windows it creates a file stream. Would it be possible to have an option to inhibit stream creation?

This ones easy to describe. I noticed today on outputting my FTP accounts that you store the password information in the XML file. Great idea, very convenient, but due to the fact that it's not encoded, it's a very easy step for people to take to grab your passwords, especially considering that in the program, the pass input field is all dots to protect the user.

Steps:

1. File>Export
2. Save XML document
3. Open document, notice in the <pass> tag, your password is there for the world to see... or at least users of your computer.

When I tranfer the file to Windows the remote file is shown as a folder.

I.e. the Windows icon is a buff folder rather than the icon for a report file (which is green lines on a white background).

It would be great if filezilla server prevents PC going in Standby/Suspend to disk while a user is logged on / during file transfer. Best would be an option, so in special cases one can choose to prefer forcing standby/STD or protect user-logon/file transfer.

FZ always disconnects right after file transfers. It should keep the connection active forever like in WS_FTP Pro.
