error accessing folders with ~ as first character

Description
within the past several versions of filezilla i can no longer access folders from remote sites where the first character in the folder name is a tilde (~).

The error message comes from the server.
Please contact the server administrator for further assistance.
Note that this is not the only problem with your server, it also violates the FTP standard by padding the FEAT response lines by more than a single space. You want to upgrade to a proper server.
