Downloading a file by draging it from the remote pane to the desktop in the local pane causes it to be converted to a chinese script

Description
When I try to download a file from the remote site to the desktop either by dragging it from the remote pane to the local>desktop pane, or by using the download feature in the remote pane, it is converted into a chinese script that cannot be veiwed in IE8 or by notepad. Here is a small segment of the file from notepad:

You accidentally transferred a non-ASCII file as ASCII file. Use binary as transfer mode for non-ASCII files.

No, I did not accidentally do this, the software did it when it was set to auto for transfer type. You may want to correct that.

Detection is based purely on file extension. Since some users have binary files with extensions usually used by ASCII files there is an option to manually set a different data type for the transfer.
