I am using an embedded FTP server from Green Hills. It follows in the Linux tradition using a slash, '/', to separate directory levels. When I connect with FileZilla it attempts to set the working directory using backslashes, '\', which results in an error. The display shows folders with question marks. (Presumably as a consequence.) FZ then does a PWD and appears to then recognize that slashes are to be used. Subsequent commands use slashes and there are no more problems. Would it make sense to issue a PWD as soon as the connection is opened and use the response to direct how to format all future directory-related commands? See the sequence below:

i set up .lis and .txt files as ascii extension.

however, when i view or transfer a .lis or .log file...it comes up in binary.

therefore, the file is unreadable.

i have the transfer set to automatic as normally i am transferring a mixture of ascii and binary files.

how do i fix this?

Hi. When viewing remote files over 4GB (4,294,967,296), the high-order 32-bits of the 64-bit size is truncated. Hence, a file with a size of 4,973,821,282 appears as 678,853,986. This is in the Remote Site window.

Prior to FZ 3.4.0 I was able to drag a folder to a new location, within the same server, now it thinks it's between two different servers.

I have tried to connect to a website to which I have been connecting for over a year. When I do, I repeatedly get error

I have read the previous posts regarding the .htaccess issue. I have enabled the raw logs and my .htaccess file is showing up. I am using FileZilla 3.0.4

I also have enabled my server to "Force showing hidden files". I have this working on other machines but I have not been able to get it working since I reinstalled Win XP Pro. This isn't the end of the world because you can manually transfer a file but its kind of annoying when it used to work.

Program crashes after deleting a file on the local machine.

I run the latest version 3.4.0 of FileZilla client on Ubuntu 11.04. Before deleting a file on the local machine from inside the program, I had connected to an ftp server an copied a file across. After this, the program is frozen, and the only option to recover is to reboot the machine. The name of the deleted file was index.php~.

When I accessed a server what only support "Active" transfer mode. It's folder can't display a folder with started with dot.

The fact is we have a folder /a/.b/ on the server, but the remote view panel show "Empty directory listing". While CuteFTP can show this folder well.

Command: CWD to_adobe Response: 250 Folder changed to "/a". Command: PWD Response: 257 "/a" is current folder. Status: Directory listing successful

Summary Basically, in the event you have a directory containing tens of thousands of files (like a logs directory) FileZilla only shows the first 9998 files.

Steps to Reproduce

• Put 10 or 15k files in a directory
• FTP into that folder

Result: First 9998 files are listed

I wrote a crappy bash script that will create an arbitrary number of files in helping to help with reproducing this corner case of a bug: ​http://pastie.org/1875855

To use it:

• Create whatever.sh in a folder you want to test within
• Execute: chmod a+x whatever.sh to make it executable
• Run it as ./whatever.sh
• It will ask how many files you want

Other Stuff: I have reproduced this on Windows and OSX.

I can test on Linux if someone asks but I don't have a VM currently accessible so I took the lazy route :X

I created a ghost of my system which resulted in 3 files, 2 were 2147474666 bytes and the last was 654114517 bytes. If I copy these 3 files from windows xp to windows xp using native windows networking the destination files are created with the correct sizes. But if I use filezilla 3.4.0 to copy these files from windows to a linux server running an unpatched centos 5.4 distro, the file sizes at the destination are not the same as the source, different by several kb. If I run ghost, and verify the copied-to-linux image files (over a samba connection), ghost claims that the image is corrupted.

Just upgraded Ubuntu to 11.04 from 10.10.

I had no issue with Filezilla at all on 10.10. Now random freezes occur which make Filezilla totally unresponsive and require a restart, the app won't terminate normally when locked up.

I can't identify a specific action that can cause it - its appears to be random.

I am using filezilla 3.5.0 on windows 7 and find that the traditional Chinese folder names and file names became monster characters in the "remote site" box, but it is normal in the lower box.

This causes the failure of viewing and opening of the folder.

I have been using filezilla for years now and all of a sudden I seem to have lost access to all my stuff. I haven't changed my log in information or password at all and now I can't log in. I get a "Critical Error" and "Could not connect to server" It is vital I get this working asap.

Hi I use FileZilla 3.5.0. And in the pane of Remote Site Files I can see ONLY 1998 files! The rest are impossible to see.

When viewing a remote directory FileZilla will display a maximum of 7,998 files. I can log in via SSH and verify there are 17,438 jpg files in the given directory using the command "ls | wc -l".

None of the files hidden by FileZilla are hidden on the server, nor does my FTP login lack the permissions to see them (I use the same login for SSH, and the files are visible there).

This is occurring on a HostMonster.com account. I am unable to test whether this problem is limited to HostMonster.

To reproduce:

1. Put more than 7,998 files into a directory
2. Use FileZilla client to list the contents of that directory
3. Note that only 7,998 are shown

Cannot download files from FTP server to local machine by dragging and dropping out of FileZilla.

I've tested on a Win 7 32-bit machine and it works fine so this is a 64-bit problem I presume, unless there strange system settings on the 64-bit machine that are not present on the 32-bit.

I use Filezilla 3.5.0, my OS is Windows 7 . In Edit/Settings, I sepcify "use custom editor" and select Notepad++ using the Browse button and use filetype associations if available Click OK However when I view, edit a file, it opens it with Notepad, as opposed to Notepad++.

Only the upper portion of the Title Bar moves the window. The entire Title Bar should move the window.

I deleted the files in a folder on the host (Yahoo! hosting) and when the folder was empty, I tried to delete the folder. The remove directory command says that the folder is not empty, but when I try to list the contents of the folder, FileZilla says that the folder is empty. (image attached) I have tried to delete the folder repeatedly, but it does not get deleted.

This is a repeated problem I've had with FileZilla, where certain folders get "stuck" and won't delete, no matter what I try. There are several in our Current Releases directory that I've been trying to delete for months. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Right click on a server file, and hit View/Edit. Make your changes, hit save. Should prompt to upload when focus is back on FileZilla. However this does not happen. Worked in Snow Leopard (10.6) but not Lion (10.7).

I can't connect to server. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. If I take it out of Passive mode to sftp it is asking for a key. We can't seem to find anything. Is there anythng I can do to be able to continue using filezilla?

I have done 3 times. I am using FileZilla 3.5.1 on my PC, MS-Windows, Ver 5.1(Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_....:Service Pack 3) I want to transfer 62,424 files, with names like PHO_0xxxxxxx-5_1003457.HL7;1 to an USB drive (E:) on my PC. I am connected to a VAX OpenVMS V8.2. To gather the names (LIST in FTP) takes about an hour. I then do a CTRL-A on the names in the "remote directory" screen, and put it into the "Home" screen. I am also watching My "Task Master" Perforamce tab, to watch the CPU Usage screen. After about 45 minutes, CPU Usage becomes 100% usage and no more files are being copied. I "stop" Filezilla and check the number of files on my USB "Memery stick" and all 3 times the same number files, 16,385. 16,385 = 214 + 1. These files are anywhere 1KB big to 120KB big. And they are 100% text files, or HL7 files.

If we Download a File from a FTP Server, the Rights are changed. And we can't change it with chmod or a system buil-in GUI afterwards. We have to download it as a zip or as a .dmg for mac then it works. Theres not the rights themselves who are false setted. Because after chmod 777 the rights should be setted right and it also shown. But still we have no permission to write...

For years I have relied on FileZilla to overwrite existing files as a method to change the existing item. What I ended up doinf is deleting and then uploading the new file. Now after trying numerous times I get the message "Critical File transfer error". At first I thought it was my upload speed but its not, as I successfully changed files last week. The only difference is that I receive updates from Filezilla and because I chose to let it update for me, it would appear that trying to overwrite is next to impossible. Any suggestions?

Cursor icon does not allows to drop dragged file. I downloaded and unzipped my file. I can drag it from my window but cannot drop it into filezilla folder to upload.

When sorting files on a remote server by date, weird behavior occurs at the UTC month boundary. Sorting by ascending date puts files from 01 October (UTC) before files from 28, 29, and 30 September (UTC). Expected behavior would list files chronologically, with 01 October (UTC) coming after the others.

Both my computer and the remote server operate in America/New_York (currently UTC-04:00), so the start of October (UTC) was at 20:00 EDT on 30 September.

Filezilla won't delete entire directories with subfolders.

Filezilla will go through every directory and delete all of the files but not folders.

According to the log the folder the directory was removed successfully but its lying! :) If I run the same command through SmartFTP using the same FTP account the folder is deleted.

my web host, pacifichost.com supports 6 concurrent connections. Ive tried filezilla and like it but one thing is making me switch to smartftp...

Even though I set under settings - transfer max simultaneous transfers to 4, somehow it keeps going OVER this hard limit.

And my web host then blocks me out for about a half hour. Other ftp apps this isnt a problem. I would say this is a showstopper.

I can not see .jar files on the server that i am connected to. i can only see the folders and the files that are inside of them.

I'm hosting a FTP server with explicit TLS and recently enabled TLS 1.1/1.2 on it. Now a few users reported to me (and I could reproduce this) that they couldn't connect to the server due to a GnuTLS error being displayed. Other clients using GnuTLS (but those are using newer version from what they've told me) or Windows CryptoAPI/CNG (ie SmartFTP) can still connect flawlessy.

Server: IIS 7.5, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0,1.1,1.2 enabled, explicit mode. (with 1.1/1.2 disabled, it works)

I keep getting disconnected from my server right after I upload something. Even after a few seconds. I've talked to my hosting company and they have raised the inactivity time limit to 15 minutes and I still get disconnected from the server after just a few seconds. So everytime I upload something I have to reconnect to upload something else. The host company told me this is a FileZilla issue and I have to ask you for help and not them. I've included a sample of the error log from the last time I got disconnetced below. Please let me know if there is somethign I can do to stay connected to the server after I upload something. Downloaded 3.5.2_i686-apple-darwin9.app from FileZilla-project.org. Upon attempt to open the app received the message: "You can't open the application FileZilla_3.5.2-i686-apple-darwin9.app because it may be damaged or incomplete."

I searched the bug reports and forum for this problem and only found on the forum to compare the checksum of the file with that of the FileZilla Project checksum.

I'm currently running 3.5.1 and it works fine so I tried to download 3.5.1 and got the same message when I tried to open it.

So it's about the storage of unencrypted password ... I know a lot of ticket has been posted about this, but there is a reason for that.

I perfectly understand your reason to do that and I understand it's "by design". I know you can fix that problem with the kiosk mode option in the filezilla.xml file.

I just think that :

1) This option should be available directly in the preference window of the client gui. It's not an "advanced" setting, it's a critical setting so you shouldn't hide it in some xml file. A lot of people want to change that behaviour of storing the password, and so go to the preference window ... and find nothing. Adding that cost you nothing, even in term of "design" or "philosophy".

2) When first using this software you don't know your password is gonna be logged in clear text, nothing tell it to you. In the whole software industry nobody do that, even Micro$oft with Int€rn€t €xplor€r ask before storing a password. User should be aware of that. So there is 2 solutions : you ask the user the first time at the first use or you put the default value of kiosk mode to 1 (so you still log an history of servers but without the password).

To conclude, I can understand that by design you want to make your users life easy, but I can't understand that you want to store ssh (sftp) password in plaintext without him knowing about it. I'm just asking you to make users more aware of that choice, to help them make enlightened choices.

I recently received an update notification and downloaded/installed FileZilla Client 3.5.2. Since then, I cannot get a file to transfer. I have been uploading a similar file for over two months and now, only after the update, it will not transfer.

I put in the queue 2 file and ans to start download from server. It passed the size of the file and contnued until i terminated the program. The time left pass the EOF didnot move, Percent stayed at 100% moved size kept increasing above the original. See enclosed jpg of the screen. Both files after program termination were damaged. Transfer type was on Auto.

When I drag some files from server file list to a local folder, it crashes.

Unable to view any files in the server. Each folder shows a question mark. When viewed in a different FTP software, it will show all the existing files, but not with FileZilla software. Need problems fixed.

When I transfer a pdf file via FZ, the file will not work. When I try to open the file online, the following message is received: "Cannot extract the embedded font 'VRHUGW+TT15Ct00'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." After this, everything freezes. When I click okay on the dialog box, the file continues to load and only the header text is garbled. If I use DreamWeaver as FTP for the file everything works fine. Using WinMerge to compare the files says they are identical, yet the one transferred by FZ won't open correctly and the one transferred by DW does open correctly. This only started happening about two months ago. I can upload a copy and give you a link to it so that you can see the behavior if necessary, it is very repeatable.

I use FileZilla 3.5.2 on a Linux Mint 12 (Lisa) plattform to connect to my Samsung Galaxy S2 Smartphone with Android 2.3 and the latest version of the App "Software Data Cable", which provides an FTP server for my phone's file system in my home network (over WLAN).

I can connet to the server without any problems, browse through the server file system and all folders and files are displayed correctly. However, when I want to download the content of my camera folder (about 100 JPEG-photos and 40 .mp4 video files) by marking all the files (click on first, Shift-click on the last file to be copied) and dragging them from the server folder window into the local folder window, Filezilla crashes.

I have attatched the Filezilla message log (file: "filezilla.log") which records the output from the launch up to the point when I opened the folder containing the files to download. When I dragged them over to my home folder the program crashed without any further output.

In addition to that I added a more useful log file from the gdb debugger, which shows the segmentation fault at the point of the crash. (file name: "filezilla crash.log")

I am running the Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric) based "Linux Mint 12" (Lisa) 64-bit on an Acer TravelMate 5740G Notebook with an Intel Core i5-430M and an ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 (using the proprietary fglrx driver for it). I also use the proprietary driver for the Broadcom WLAN card (package name is simply "wlan").

logged in to an FTP server file was write only (permissions 200) I tried to download it but the transfer failed then I changed permission to 600 (added read) right clicked and said view/edit default editor is notepad.exe

filezilla locked up for about umm.... 5 minutes? 10 minutes? I feel like when the connection was dropped filezilla unfroze but I can't say. Also, after 5 minutes or so I received some error from notepad but I don't recall what it said. sorry.

Suggestions: ============ -Error should be specific about why it can't upload the file (i.e. file open.) -Error should ask if you want to retry. -Error should only occur a maximum number of retries, either set or specified in the preferences.

I can log into my server of choice using the same password using a different client, but trying to with FineZilla gets me: Response: 331 Password required for riwebserver Command: PASS Response: 530 Login incorrect. Error: Critical error Error: Could not connect to server

Now I know the password is correct. I just used it to log in via another client.

I use Filezilla few years. And for these years you still didn't fix this annoying bug: I use layout: Widescreen I use Position of a message log: Above the file list. I use Windows 7 and Windows XP (bug is visible on both). With these settings 'Quickconnect bar' is not refreshed properly during use when new messages are arriving to log (see screen attached, it is hardly visible in the screen, log messages overwrites it). This gives bad GUI experience to the user.

An employee on Mac and I (PC) both upgraded this morning. Now all transfers fail. When trying to send a new file, it creates the instance of the file with a zero kb size on our remote server, then repeatedly tells you it already exists (apparently the zero kb version) and asks if you want to overwrite, repeatedly, without ever overwriting or allowing the transfer.

I've got the following trouble in all FileZilla versions i had used including the latest (3.5.3)

Empty directory listing doesn't work properly (in both passive and active mode). When i try to open an empty directory or upload a file in an empty directory opening or upload fails in most cases (about 85% – sometimes, seemingly randomly, it passes).

I presume that this is server-related trouble but since the server is a popular public host with very "standard" settings the trouble could be resolved. Some other FTP-client (but not all) are working properly with this server

In the attachment is the log of uploading the file in an empty directory.

Program Version: 3.5.3 When I encounter some folders on the remote server that have some or all of the characters in Cyrillic, they are displayed by the fine, but as soon, as I click on it, the second folder gets created with the wrong charset. The program takes me to the wrong charset folder, while the folder that has normal Cyrillic characters doesn't disappear. When I try to click on the correct version, it sends me back to the folder duplicate with the wrong charset. I can see all of the files and folders inside of the wrong charset folder, but I cannot do anything with them, only look at them. It gives me an error if I try to download or view files, or browse nested folders. When I type the directory path in address bar - same thing happens.

I have been trying to upload a file for the past few days. When it gets to 100%, it starts all over again never allowing the file to be actually uploaded. I have restarted my computer several times, I have updated the program, I have cleaned my cache, and still the same problem. I really need to get my file uploaded. What else can I try?

I have tried to use all possible passwords to get into my site and I have tried resetting it as well. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the program and still can not get my ftp to open

yes whenever i sign into ftp server im not in for even a minute and it times me out

Filezilla the newest verison does not like any port number it keep giving a syntax error stating it has to be a port from 1 to 6555.

When transferring a whole directory to an empty directory on a 1GB/sec network, I will randomly get the dialog box to confirm overwrite of the existing file. (Remember that the target directory was empty originally.) I believe there is some kind of logic problem in the way the two copy threads decide which is the next file to copy. I notice this most when one thread is working on a large file and the second thread is working on a bunch of very short files.

When using FileZilla, it shows 1971 Queued files. It starts transfering files and when it get to 981 queued files it stops tranfering files. I have tried it multiple times, restarted the computer, checked if I was using the current version of FileZilla and everytime it stops at 981.

I just tried to upload my site files with Filezilla and everything uploaded correctly except my .js javascript files. I tried to research the problem online and found a lot of useless comments about the file type and ASCII or binary, but no instructions or help on actually overcoming the issue. Can I change some settings in Filezilla, i.e. change the way .js files are read, or is there some way to reformat my files before uploading?

I am trying to download files and after 5 minutes connection is aborted. The files are about 1.5 GB. Previously the time estimate was 1.5 hours. Now it is over 8. This has been going on for about week. Possibly occuring after the leatest version was downloaded.

Earthlink changed "something" on the FTP process, and now I cannot connect to my webhosted domain using FileZilla 3.5.3

I've noticed that when you minimize FileZilla you cannot re-open the existing window. If you click on the FileZilla icon in the unity menu to re-open a minimized instance, it instead opens a new instance. This can lead to FileZilla crashing. This also poses a serious concern for long upload/download of files due to losing where you are at. Please contact me if you need more information, I'll provide any assistance I can.

Logs in successfully however the directory listing says it is empty. It has been working properly for months this just happened out of nowhere.

I cannot connect to server, my IP Address was block by filezilla

Problem: Filezilla crashes instantly on launch.

Filezilla was on 3.5.2 when this problem started. It had worked OK for about two months, up until two days ago. Nothing has been installed since then, and no Filezilla settings were changed. Today, it would not start up from the desktop shortcut. There was a brief jagged flash across the screen for a fraction of a second. No disk activity. Nothing in Task Manager. No MS crash message. Re-installed latest version 3.5.3 over the top. Worked OK once. Able to upload a file. Closed Filezilla. Tried to open it again - behaviour the same as before with brief flash on screen then nothing. Have tried a full uninstall, restart and re-install. No better. Tried renaming the C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Application Data\FileZilla folder (as suggested on another ticket). No better. Can't find any existing tickets that match this behaviour. Some tickets refer to being able to pick up Filezilla using ALT+TAB, but this does not happen in this case. Note: was re-installed with "all users" option, but Filezilla folder was found in the individual current user folder under C:\Documents and Settings\, not the all users folder.

Hello, i have a bug which i have to admit, is annoying me alot!

When my server disconnects me after inactivity (SFTP connection) i get the "Status: Disconnected from server" and all, but if i then click on a file or folder, such as ".." it will go to "Command: cd ".."" and not first reconnect to the server and then go to that folder.

A temporary fix is to press "Disconnect from current server" button, then press it again.

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, English version and latest version of FileZilla, FileZilla Client. Suddenly, I have one folder I cannot delete. I can rename it, but not delete it. We have tried from several computers in different locations. Here is the full information below as requested.

I stored my clients photos as individual files on my web host linux server and I have over 20000 files stored in a directory called Photo. I wanted to transfer these photos to my desktop but I found out Filezilla could only list 9998 files out of over 20000 files. What do I do?

I've updated a local file and even after hitting f5, right click and 'refresh' and closing and reopening filezilla, it's caching the old version of the file. I've checked in file explorer and it's seeing the new version, but filezilla is trapped in the past!

The only way I can upload my new file is to save it in a different location on my harddrive and then upload it.

File transfer was not a problem except for my webpage displaying Asian characters instead of the proper text and links.

Generally happy with FZ (3.5.3) but I get random corruptions on upload of PHP files to server - and then even if I delete the server file and re-upload it is still corrupt. Using another technique - eg uploading via the server's cPanel File Manager - and it works OK

After no problems for years using FZ daily, over the past 2 weeks I've had consistent problems downloading files using SFTP/SSH from my shared hostgator server. During batch downloading, it always downloads a few files, then posts the "software causing abort" (or words to that effect) during about the 4th file.

Happens every time now over past 2 weeks. Never happened in the past.

The file is not locked and it is displayed in the GUI of the server as well as in other file explorer when the memory is moved from the server to a computer. With FileZilla the folder that contents the not shown file can not be deleted but the folder can be moved including the invisible file. After moving the folder the file is still invisible in FileZilla.

I've been trying to get FileZilla (v.3.5.3) through to tripod.com in order to upload my files to my website located there (​http://australianart.tripod.com/). Tripod assert, over and over, that they can ftp access my website without any problems from their end. However I cannot access my website and have been trying for over 3 weeks now without success and always with the below-listed error message:

I have noticed that I cannot depend upon Filezilla to upload files reliably. I just spent an hour with GoDaddy technical support to discover that even though my FileZilla upload screen showed (RH panel)that files were being uploaded, that they were in fact noton the destination server.

I verified this with GoDaddy's FTP program and also the CoffeeCup FTP program

I right-clicked on a directory (that contained a lot of subdirectories with thousands of files) on the server and selected "download".

During the download process I lost connection a few times and sometimes had to restart filezilla (because of another bug, that sometimes you can't resume processing a queue until you restart filezilla), but then I always resumed; that shouldn't be a problem at all. I never, ever deleted anything from the queue nor did I ever receive any error prompt to which I could have given the wrong answer.

After hours of downloading, the queue was finally empty and FileZilla was apparently done downloading. Then I found out that more than half of the directory tree simply HADN'T BEEN DOWNLOADED.

I don't know whether the missing directories have never got into the queue (I'm ALMOST sure this was the case) or if they did and then they failed to download, but in both cases SILENTLY failing to download is a disaster.

If a queue becomes empty and you haven't explicitely deleted anything from it, you must be 100% sure that everything in it has been downloaded. And if you download a folder, you must have 100% guarantee that all its contents get added to the queue.

I SUSPECT that the queue is built (i.e. the directory tree scanned) while the download is ongoing, so in case of huge directories, if the download is interrupted and resumed, maybe the scanning of the directory is not resumed properly. If that is the case, than that is the bug. Either the whole scanning of directories and queuing of files should be done prior to starting to download, OR actions should be taken to ensure that in case of interruptions the scanning is resumed reliably.

Assuming that downloading a directory tree is always done without the slightest network error or without restarting FileZilla from the beginning to the end in one chunk, is a ridiculous assumption.

When a folder has more than 10,000 files FileZilla count and list them to 9,998 files after that file are not counted and showed.

Take a text file encoded in utf-8 containing non-ascii characters with a .txt extension and upload it to a server with FileZilla with the transfer mode set to "AUTO".

Expected: the transfer mode should be set to whatever is correct, the upload should be done correctly, and the uploaded file should be ok

Observed: the "A" (ASCII) transfer mode is automatically selected and the uploaded file is somehow corrupted.

I'm not sure whether uploading an utf-8 text file in ASCII mode is supposed to work or not (i guess not). If it is not, then selecting ASCII mode is wrong, and the Binary mode should be selected for utf8 text files when the mode is set to Auto. If it is supposed to work, then FileZilla does it incorrectly.

Curiously enough, _downloading_ utf8-encoded text files in auto mode does work correctly (and the ASCII mode is selected automatically, again curiously), here the behavior of the server may be involved.

Hello. when i open a ftp and make the program idle for a minute or so, then it cant refresh, edit, delete, rename the files(but it accepts new uploads!). it says a command (for exapmle): CWD myfolder

and freezes. i have to re-login to website to be able to continue working with my ftp. i have changed options from preferences (made the disconnect period 1000 minutes), but it doesnt work.

When downloading a file using SFTP, the EOF is not handled properly.

Example: downloading a 1564 bytes file.

• stat: server returns size 1564
• open
• read offset 0, len 32768: server returns 1564 data (as expected)

Now starts the stuff I think is not correct:

• read offset 32768, 32768: server returns EOF (issue 1: offset should be 1564, issue 2: the transfer should stop here)

And now keeps going up to 1 MB:

• read offset 65536, 32768: server returns EOF
• read offset 98304, 32768: server returns EOF
• ...
• read offset 1048576, 32768: server returns EOF
• close

About issue 1, I haven't found where's the problem. The offset of the request should always be adjusted to rr->retlen.

About issue 2, checking trunk/src/putty/sftp.c:1259, in xfer_download_gotpkt:

DESCRIPTION: The file size is reported correctly by FileZilla. Starting the transfer by dragging the file to the client window correctly starts the transfer. The time of transfer seems to be correctly reported using the file size and the transfer speeed (as displayed). When the progress window reaches the original file size, it reports zero time left. However, the transfter continues and in the case creates a much bigger file.

To me this seems like some kind of bug.

I uploaded a file to my server through FileZilla. I realized a typo in the file name so within filezill I renamed it to the appropriate name. I then when to check within a web browser if the file was viewable and it was not. The permissions are all correct and it is in a publicly viewable folder.

Further looking into it I found that the file that filezill was showing versus the files that were on the server were different. Out of the 4 files in this folder the one I had change with filezill had not been changed on the server. The server was reporting the old info.

I called the hosting comapny, host gator, and they had no issues with the server or the ftp. So I remove the filezill version I had on my PC, windows 7, wiped all the info out and got the newest version from your site. I added the folder from the zip file to my comp and ran the program. When I ran the program it came up with all the server information already in it.

Two questions,

1. How did it come up with the server info if I deleted the older program and

2. Why is the program not showing the correct files or uploading them.
