Whe attempting to navigate directories on my server I receive a timeout error

If synchronized browsing is active and a folder contains a lot of small files (>100) the following behaviour was observed: Some files where selected and uploaded. While uploading is in progress, the folder is changed to another folder with a lot of small files (>100) on the local side. The folder is then not changed on the server side while the upload is in progress. Another folder must be selected after upload is finished to synchronize the folder view again. This happens in version 3.2.6.1 and before.

Deleting a soft link to a file sometimes deletes the target file instead of the link.

A log file is attatched where you can see the surprising "Response" of deleting the target file instead.

The remote server is Redhat Enterprise Linux 5. FileZilla Client 3.2.6.1.

After installing the first time the "basic usage instructions were in English. on the second time of opening they were in another language re- installing the programme has made no difference can this be corrected within the programme?

Filezilla 3.2.6.1, external site, arrow mouse on file, mouse right,option :"URL copy to clipboard". Then: open browser (Opera 9.64), paste URL in adress part of browser. Gives : ​ftp:// my domain name@ ftp. my domain name/folder /folder/fille.php. After enter, dialog window which asks for username and password. After filled in and sent username and password , the file is show on browser. Problem : Mistakes in some shown files on browser. Text/script which should not be there, is on the web page. See attachment : Example 1 bad.png. It goes all right when ​ftp:// my domain name@ ftp is replaced by me in ​http://www. See attachment : Exmple 1 good.png.

I just updated to 3.2.6.1 on Windows XP Pro SP3, Intel Celeron D @3.2GHz, 2GB RAM.

Now, 95% of the time, no matter what server I connect to, uploading or downloading any file causes the program to crash.

The log attached from several attempts to upload/download from various servers (actually, just two servers: one that hosts various website for me, and ftp.microsoft.com as anonymous).

Reverting to 3.2.4.1 resolved the problem.

I'm attempting to download files from a remote site using FileZilla Client 3.2.6.1. Any files which are in the selected folder are correctly downloaded, but any folders FileZilla does a directory listing and doesn't add anything to the queue.

I think there is a clue in the remote site - it starts off when I connect with the path D:/home/\

If I go into that and enter the Default folder within home, it changes to D:/home//Default/\ I then have 2 entries in the remote folder list at the top level - each of the above entries. If I pop out D:/home/\ and try to select Default, it won't do anything and any folders that have popped out have ?s on them

If I now pop out D:/home//Default/\ and go into test.test, the remote path becomes D:/home//Default/test.test/\ and this is also added to the remote folder list.

If I continue this process further, I end up with something like D:/home//Default/test.test//htdocs/aspnet_client//system_web/2_0_50727/\ and a number of entries at the top level of the list.

The server that I am remoting to is Matrix FTP Server (from Fasthosts - provided with a dedicated server) running on Windows 2003 Server. I suspect that some of the problem may be coming from this, but I have tried it with an old copy of FileZilla 2.2.32 on my Windows XP Pro machine and that works fine - it recurses downloads perfectly and I get a path like D:/home/Default/test.test/htdocs/aspnet_client/system_web/2_0_50727/

I clicked on the + to expand a directory tree for a directory with around 2500 subdirectories. I then cliked on that directory and it listed the 2500 subdirectories in the lower pane. Each action took several seconds. Then I cliked on the next directory that had over 4,000 subdirectories. I thought it was just taking time to work, but after several minutes I realized the application had frozen. I intentionally crashed the program in Task Manager and then tried to relaunch. The program never came up. So I tried to launch the program again, and then again, still nothing. Then I realized that the Filezilla.exe was listed three times in Task manager processes, but not in applications, each instance was using about 11MB of memory. I rebooted the system, thinking that would clear it, but when I tried to launch again, it still never came up, but the exe was listed in Task Manager. I browsed around the registry to see if the program was using an obvious entry to tell it to go to the directory with 4,000 entries on open, but didn't find it. So I rebooted again and then uninstalled. I then turned around and re-installed. Same thing happened. I changed the name of the directory with 4,000 subdirectores and relaunched, no joy. Then I tried to change the name of the directory with 2,500 subdirectories, and explorer said it was being used by another program. I then re-crashed the sytem and was then able to rename the 2,500 subdir directory. I rebooted again (don't know why, just cautious I guess) and relaunched FileZilla. This time it came up. Interestingly, even though I uninstalled and re-installed, it still had all of my quickconnect entries from the initial install.

Once I upload a file and the file transfer is complete on the Client Server Side also, the file sizes on my Server and Client Server do not match, but the status is 100%.

I have following problem for a long time already but never had the time to report it:

After editing a file locally, Filezilla prompts with the "File has changed" window, if I click "yes" there to proceed with uploading, even though the message log says that the file has been uploaded and I have already given instructions to overwrite files on server at this point, the old version of the file remains still on server.

I have then to remove the file on the server first, refresh the local directory and upload the file again to make sure the new file is there.

This problem does not occur consistently but consistent enough that I would like you to look into it if possible.

I am currently on 3.2.4.1 when I try to run the update to get to 3.2.6.1 I get an error message about "timer creation failed" and it exits the update. How do I resolve this?

When I connect to a FTP site and I start with remotely renaming a file FILE1.TC to FILE1.TC1, immediately followed by uploading a file called FILE1.TC, the connection appears to have been lost.

Steps to reproduce: 1) log into an FTP server where you have at least two directories (say, A and B) 2) In the server pane (top right), open folder A so that all files in that folder appear in the bottom right pane 3) Drag a file from the bottom right pane to the B folder in the top right pane. Note that the mouse pointer shows we are in copy mode (plus sign).

Expected result: File is copied from folder A to folder B

Actual result: Files is moved (RNTO) from folder A to folder B

I've scoured HELP, FileZilla fora and existing tickets, but can't find any that discuss this issue. Apologies if I've missed something.

I use FileZilla to transfer files from a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) to a Windows PC. The PVR has a linux based file system, which permits numerous characters which are not permitted in Windows filenames, for example, asterisk "*", left and right angle brackets "<" and ">", back slash "\" and colon ":".

Thankfully most of these characters are rare in source file names, BUT, the worst one, colon is quite common. The PVR files often contain time stamps, in format "hh:mm:ss". When attempting to transfer such a file, the transfer fails with an error like:

Failed to open "C:\Documents and Settings\John\My Documents\Some File hh:mm:ss.txt" for writing

That's good, as it occurs immediately. However, if the source file name contains only ONE colon, like "Movie: Star Wars.mpg" the transfer proceeds, but the resulting file is unuseable from Windows. Curiously, it appears in the FileZilla window with the apparently correct name, but Windows Explorer shows it with the name only up to the colon, with no filetype extension, and a size of 0. The file appears empty when opened, despite taking considerable time to transfer (especially large video files!).

I don't really consider this a bug in FileZilla, it's more a limitation due to the differences in filesystems and the meaning of different meta-characters.

I can manually change the filename on the PVR through FileZilla before attempting the transfer, but I sometimes forget, leading to much wasted time (for some reason the network speeds of PVRs tend to be throttled, so transfers of large video files can take hours). I've seen the same behaviour on two different types of PVR.

A better solution would be to have a mechanism where I could specify certain characters in the source file specification are automatically changed into some other character, or perhaps dropped in the output file specification. For example, I could specify that ":" in a filename be translated into "_" when the file is downloaded. Thus "Movie: Star Wars.mpg" would become "Movie_ Star Wars.mpg" The translation table could be an attribute of the connection.

If done at a deep enough level, this could be made to work with directory comparison and synchronised browsing, as FileZilla would recognise the file names as being equivalent, even though they're different.

I'm thinking of a simple substitution table, defined per host, but there are many other ways to achieve the same result, for example there could be a canned table for each target operating system, or some kind of regular expression mechanism. I'm not terribly concerned about how it works, I'd just like to be able to transfer these files without having to think about them!

When downloading from a server the file timestamps are preserved, but not those for the folders. Please could you look into this?

The default mode kept giving me errors on 1and1 hosting. It took downloading coreftp, and receiving their autoprompt about switching to "active" mode for me to realize that was the problem.

Creating an autodetect, or autoprompt for this error would be a boost to user friendliness.

Some file transmissions from a SAT receiver via FTP work and some don't. Log file is attached.

filezilla 3.2.6.1 asks for properly quoted command after browsing for a file viewer/editor from dialog prompt, when trying to edit a file.

similar to existing ticket# 4659 but with filezilla clent instead of server. During file transfer with 85k adobe pdf file, prompted twice to overwrite existing file with same name. Upon closer inspection after transfer, file appears to be "cut" at 65k size and balance of file appears to be overwritten, but transfer terminates due to timeout.

Went to verify on second computer: filezilla v3.2.6.1 OS windows XP sp 3 intel core 2 duo

same file transferred without a problem without second prompt to overwrite existing file. Transfer is successful.

Error is repeatable with Windows vista ultimate computer and successful transfer is repeatable with windows xp computer. Appears to be specific to window vista ultimate for this case.

When editing a lot of files sequentially, the list of currently-edited files becomes quite long (and as such, the scrollbars become tiny and impossible to grab).

The textarea showing the list of files is only three rows high; it seems to be an omission in the UI design. Suggestion: could the dialog be made resizable (and remember its sizing once resized?)

When I use the "Copy URL(s) to clipboard" action in the context menu of the remote view, and the filename contains certain characters, e.g. "č", "ě" and many others -- possibly all of which are not in the active Windows code page (for me that is CP1252), the program crashes.

I have tried several times to configure filezilla to connect to sftp.section111.cms.hhs.gov site using SSH but it will not work. Govt site is using SSH v2. Do you support this flavor of sftp? If not, can it be incorporated to the new build?

i started with filezilla server 0.9.25 (had an old installation). i was trying to share a folder mounted with expandrive (remote sftp share) with filezilla server. I was able to select the share in windows without a problem, full directory structure visible.

when a client connected to my ftp, there were only lowercase folders visible on that share, files were showing regardless of their case.

so i thought it would be a filezilla server problem and upgraded my installation. now, it is not showing any folders inside that on ftp at all. the local view in filezilla client works fine.

i tried a different ftp server software, which works flawlessly, but i would like to continue using filezilla server.

I downloaded the newest version of FileZilla 3.2.6.1 and when clicking to install I receive and error message "Win32 setup is not a valid Win 32 Application"

FileZilla does not download the files, whose name has been used in a bulleted letters as "äöüõ " These letters are used in finnish and estonian languages same error will occured if these letter is used on directory name. Error: /Mäng Marilt.jpg: open for read: no such file or directory its possible to rename the file, and then download is possible.

Using FZ to upload from Vista Business PC to Win Svr 2008 Enterprise, IIS FTP server. Remote side closed connection due to user id exceeding disk quota. FZ kept on sending (?) and would not accept the cancel operation request. Once it "completed" the transfer control was returned to user.

I am getting the timer creation failed error when I try to download the latest version. If I try to click through it, I get a 16 Bit MS-Dos popup, when I click ignore, I get an illegal instruction error. I'm never able to complete the download. I've tried downloading through the application several times. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

It would be nice, in addition to the "Watch Locally Edited Files for Modification And Prompt..." to have an "Upload Automatically" option. This would be a life saver for tedious 'remote' edits and testing.

Side note: i'm a longtime FileZilla fan, used on PC forever, after switching over to OS-X from Windows, I had a brief affair with CuteFTP, but then came back when the OS-X port of FileZilla became available.

filezilla write error on adding program to installation, that is impossible to install filezila on i386 system, because is not supported

but Athlon XP is not i386 but required i586

When uploading from a client that supports a : in the filename, the FileZilla will accept the file for download, but will store anything after the : as an alternate data stream.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a feature.

It might be good to include a configuration toggle to disable this behaviour (i.e. send an invalid filename message to the sender) by default, as I found it very surprising.

Test case:

From a BSD, Mac or Linux box, create a file named "a:b". Upload the file. The server will show a 0 byte file named a, with an alternate data stream b with all of the content.

Something as simple as preventing standby as long as Filezilla is running would be great (Similar to utorrents prevent standby withacitve torrents). I could then just set Filezilla to close after the transfers are done and my PC could still enter sleep mode afterward.

from time to time I need to transfer an ascii file between Windows and Linux "as is" and the fastest way would be if I could right click on the file name and in the options panel select "transfer as" and then be able to select whether or not I want FZ to convert anything.

I am trying to save data to my ISP's free FTP; Filezilla is configured as:

When password is received, messages say :

Freshftp, using the same data, works perfectly; so does Ontrack Easy Recovery Professional, which can send data salvaged from hard disks data to a ftp site.

I have not been able to update Filezilla as the .exe file that I save to my desktop has an error when I try to open it. It tells me it's not a valid 32-bit file. So far, I've missed the last 3 update notices I got when opening Filezilla.

The transfer of SQL files, from remote to local corrupts the file, giving it a 3 byte size (empty).

My (linux) mail server stores files as <meaningless name>:2 and when I download such a file to windows it creates a file stream. Would it be possible to have an option to inhibit stream creation?

This ones easy to describe. I noticed today on outputting my FTP accounts that you store the password information in the XML file. Great idea, very convenient, but due to the fact that it's not encoded, it's a very easy step for people to take to grab your passwords, especially considering that in the program, the pass input field is all dots to protect the user.

Steps:

1. File>Export
2. Save XML document
3. Open document, notice in the <pass> tag, your password is there for the world to see... or at least users of your computer.

When I tranfer the file to Windows the remote file is shown as a folder.

I.e. the Windows icon is a buff folder rather than the icon for a report file (which is green lines on a white background).

It would be great if filezilla server prevents PC going in Standby/Suspend to disk while a user is logged on / during file transfer. Best would be an option, so in special cases one can choose to prefer forcing standby/STD or protect user-logon/file transfer.

When I edit a file remotely, it stores the file locally in /tmp/fz3temp-<num> (on Linux), and C:\Documents and Settings\<home directory>\Local Settings\Temp\fz3temp-1 (on Windows). This is fine normally. I use Vim to edit files and I re-open the local copies up with each file up in a tab. It's just kind of a pain in the rear to drill down the long directory path, on windows more so than Linux. My request is to do the following: In Edit->Settings->File Editing, please add an input box/browse button to select/enter a directory path for the default local file edit storage path (or whatever you call it).

When I transfer PHP or HTML files, it defaults to ASCII mode and adds a new line after each line. This happens on both the download and the upload. If I switch to Binary mode, there are no problems but sometimes ALL the new lines disappear and the whole file is in one line.

On initial opening of program with default settings. when I fill in host,user and password then click quick connect or use a quick connect history item the message window will spill or overflow up over the quick connecr bar and even the icon bar. these bars still refresh when mouse goes over for normal use or if program minimized then redisplayed will look normal. If view quick connect is deselected then reselected it looks normal. subsequent use is normal till next time program is opened. I know you may not support windows 7 yet but this is fyi.

I tried registering for forums but it kept saying my confirmation code was incorrect. I tried about 3 times from different computers and same, even though I was typing in the code from the graphic. May be it is IE8? I don't know. So logging a ticket instead hope that is okay.

I have downloaded FileZilla server and using/forcing SSL FTP. Works fine with WS_FTP client, but can't get it working with Dreamweaver MX 2004 or CS3. Ticking the SFTP (Secure FTP) box and it connects (if I change server port to listen on 22 or use :990 in url) but then times out (doesn't get past username/password) thing.

Will it work with Dreamweaver for secure FTP? If so any special setings?

Sometimes I have 1000+ downloads/uploads going on at the same time. The newest transfers go to the bottom of the list, and because of the creation of the status bar, it is difficult to right-click on the items at the bottom of the list (they keep getting moved below the screen). And though it would be nice to fix this issue, I imagine it would be difficult to fix. Thus, I thought it would be nice if you could right-click the local or remote files you have selected and the "Upload" option (assuming local for language sake) in the menu could include another option "Upload at Priority" or something with a dropdown menu where you could specify the priority of the uploads/downloads. Thus, I'm not trying to find the files after they have been loaded to the que to set the priority but am setting the priority the moment they are added to the que.

Short version: Ability to set the priority of an transfer when adding to the que by right-click on the item(s) selected and specifying the transfer priority.

Justification: Many file upload operations are a single file which you want to quickly share on the internet. loading the file and then manually retrieving the full URL to the file you just uploaded is a major pain.

It would be great to have two features:

Option 1: When you upload a file, the http URL to that file is loaded into the paste buffer so you can immediately paste for your peeps in forum, IM etc. The form of the URL (​ftp://mysite.com/myfile.pdf or ​http://mysite/myfile.pdf) could be configured in FZ options. Would be nice to have a popup reminding you that the full URL has been copied to the clipboard.

Option 2: Add menu options when file is right mouse clicked in FileZilla Remote Site pane - allows you to pick one of several options for copying the path (​ftp://mysite.com/myfile.pdf or ​http://mysite/myfile.pdf ). In order to allow use of the ftp software in a multi-user and/or multi-site environment, it would be great if the software would store the site manager inside a database (MySql or MS SQL).

I set a filter to filename ends iwth .html file name ends with .asp

I hit refresh; and the base dir indeed, only showed those folders... I tried to download all files & folders, but all files were ultimately copied... the filter didn't filter any sub dirs.

infact, when I selected a sub dir and "set" a filter, it seemed to be ignored.

If you specify a remote folder to open, when you create a new entry in the site manager, the remote folder will not open if you choose to connect the site by the quickconnect list.

If you start the connection by the site manager or by the site manager icon in the toolbar, the folder is opened as expected.

I'm using filezilla client for win32, version 3.2.6.1 under windowsXP SP3

Directory listing fails when connecting to Globalscape’s SFTP server v 3.3.0 other sftp clients work fine with same account. Contacted Globalscape support and was informed that their application is functioning as designed and that the problem needs to be resolved by Filezilla. Upon further investigation I discovered that this problem started with Filezilla version 3.1.0, versions 3.0.9.3 and before work fine.

The first line is wrong and the flash movie does not play. A work-around solution is to transfer the file using Transfer Type = Binary.

I'm using the latest version of FileZilla.

While uploading a file, the file which is being overwritten is done so in real-time rather than waiting until the transfer has finished. In other words, if it takes you 60 seconds to upload the new file, the old file is unusable for a period of 60 seconds. This is a major problem if the file you are overwriting, for example, is a server script which is accessed hundreds or thousands of times per minute. Of course, it's an even bigger problem if the connection is interrupted mid-transfer.

From the client end, I suggest a feature which allows uploading filename.ext as filename.ext.uploading (or something), then deleting the original file and renaming the new copy once the transfer is complete. This should be more seamless than the existing practice.

Of course, this should ideally be handled on the server side automatically, but I'm requesting this for the client because I am actually not using a FileZilla server on our (Linux) machines. It would be awesome if such a feature were implemented in both your client and server.

With the previous version, if FileZilla, if you get disconnected, you could click on the "R" to reconnect. Now with the recent update, when you get disconnected, you have to click on the disconnect, so that you can then click on the "R" to reconnect. Wayne Sallee Wayne@…

Filezilla Client does not have built-in trusted CA, so that it always prompts me that the certificate is wrong when I use ftpes to connect to my server with trusted CA's certificate from IPSCA.(We request the ceritificate from IPSCA; therefore, the server's certificate is not self-signed.)

I have tried the FireFTP in Firefox's Add-On, and it could recognize the certificate well without warning message.

The picture below is the FireFTP's warning message, when it connects to a self-signed ftp.

Copy URL to clipboard feature will not leave anything to the clipboard if FileZilla has been quit.

• Right click on a file which is on the remote site
• Click on [Copy URL to clipboard]
• Close FileZilla
• Try to paste (in any application) -> it won't paste anything

Hi ! I couldn't help but notice a small "cosmetic bug" in the french version. More precisely, in the bottom right hand corner, where it says "File d'attente :" referring to the file size awaiting transfer (size in Mo), one can read "Mio" instead of Mo (for "Mega octet"). I know it isn't such a big deal, but FileZilla is such great software that is deserves to "speak right" :) By the way, although I mention herebelow that I use Windows Vista, I have noticed the same "typo" on my other pc, which is running XP Pro.

Further to #4706, I believe than one CAN distinguish between links and files. May I suggest you consult manual for 'find' command? The primary test 'type' covers it.

I have created 2 links, jim and fred. As you can see from the following screen dump file type 'd' designates a directory.

Once Filezilla has established the Unix type of the resolution file it should be straightforward to recreate the equivalent in Windows.

I think SNI (Server Name Indication) support like described in rfc3546 (​http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3546.txt) would be a very good thing.

Is this planed for a future version of filezilla?

After uploading local file that has been opened for edit through FileZilla, automatically refresh the details in the local display so that Directory Comparison does not show a difference. Steps:

1. Using: Directory Comparison 'ON', Synchronised Browsing 'ON'.

2. Open local file for edit.

3. Make changes, Save.

4. FileZilla asks if you wish to upload; Upload file.

What happens:

1. Uploaded file on server shows new Last Modified datestamp (ie now).

2. Local file maintains Last Modified datestamp from before file was opened for editing view not refreshed).

3. File in remote pane is highlighted green as newer.

Wish:

1. File in local pane is refreshed with current details.

2. Files in both panes are unhighlighted since they are the same.

Add a dropdown option to Refresh button on toolbar to 'Refresh local' and 'Refresh remote' only. Steps:

1. Create a new file and save it in local location.

2. Return to FileZilla - file does not show in current local pane.

3. Click 'Refresh' button on toolbar to refresh view and see new file.

What happens:

1. If the remote server is disconnected, FileZilla must take time to re-connect and grab a directory listing of remote server as well as local directory.

Wish:

1. When I know I want to refresh local only, I can select to do this.

2. This works equally in the other direction. Sometimes I only want to refresh the remote view (eg when someone else has dropped a file on the remote server).

Remember Directory Comparison and Synchronised Browsing settings when reconnecting to last used server. Steps:

1. Connect to server

2. Toggle Directory Comparison 'ON' using button on toolbar.

3. Toggle Synchronised Browsing 'ON' using button on toolbar.

4. Upload/download files.

5. Disconnect.

6. Reconnect using toolbar button 'Reconnects to the last used server'.

What happens:

1. Directory Comparison and Synchronised Browsing are both 'OFF'

Wish:

1. If the local folder location is the same as it was at last disconnect, and on reconnection the remote folder is still there, then FileZilla should preserve the Directory Comparison and Synchronised Browsing setting at point of last disconnection.

It would be great if when FileZilla is minimised to the system tray it could give some visual feedback when an edited file has been changed, like when you return to FZ after editing a file, there is a pop up asking whether you want to upload your file.

Perhaps it could flash, or change colour, or a balloon pops up?

I setup pureftpd and vsftpd on my test server and if I have pureftpd running (which uses MLSD for listings) and then stop and start vsftpd (which uses LIST for listings) it will give the following error on filezilla when trying to refresh the listing until filezilla is closed and reopened.

As you can see it tries using MLSD even though vsftpd doesn't support MLSD.

I deal with many FTP sites, some which has faster connections than others. With dealing with a ADSL connection with low out bound speed, it would be nice to be able to configure the upload and download speed with the site configuration rather than the client settings.

last version -as well as the former- when a group of consecutives files to be uploaded in the manager is selected ,filezilla usually skips the 3.d file ( sometimes the following too). The file is uploaded with size 0 (zero) kb. A second uploading is useless because the timedate is the same. I nedd to delete the 0k-file on the server , then a new uploading of the single file is succesful.

10 files from 148 are affected by a size mismatch and a corrupted content. Each time running FileZilla, the 10 files are transfered, with a bas size.

Went to verify on second computer: same result filezilla v3.2.7 OS windows XP SP3 Fr

Different file formats are affected : BMP, MDB (Acces file)...

Error is repeatable with Windows vista ultimate computer and windows xp computer.

Source is NAS server : Acer Aspire Easystore firmware 2.1 (Samba powered) FTP embedded server : PureFTPd

It seems like there is a problem when I try to transfer files which contain any of the 3 danish characters: "æ" "Æ" "ø" "Ø" "å" "Å".

The files can be managed correctly inside my NAS-environment, but not via File-Zilla.

I have attached a screendump which shows some of the files that I can not access. (Red arrows).

When Adding a new filter name. The program would shutdown after clicking "save."

I would like to request that when files are selected to change their permissions, and the dialog box appears, that the numeric permissions be highlighted already so I may just enter the number and enter instead of having to highlight them then type the new number. This would save a step which adds up if you are doing a lot.

I've tried setting the editing preferences to the default text editor and tried pointing to a third-party editor (i.e. Textmate) and it still launches Safari or Firefox, depending on which one is currently the default browser.

A number of times I have aimed to select "Process Queue" on the context menu and have accidentally click the "stop and remove all" option instead. This is quite a pain when I have a large number of files queued and have to go through adding them all again.

Basically a simple "are you sure?" message would save me in this situation.

The "directory comparison" and "filter dialog" icons in all themes are inverted!

I am trying to create a Filter following the directions outlined at ​http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Filename_Filters however whenever I click the "Ok" button on the Filter Creation dialog box the software crashes. I attempted to get the log by setting it to Verbose but the file does not seem to be saved or I can't find it

Here are the steps to recreate it (it does not matter if one is connected to a site or not):

1) Launch FileZilla 2) Go to View menu 3) Select Filename Filters 4) Select Edit filters 5) Select New 6) Give the filter a name

-Notice how the "+" button is off the edge of the dialog box

7) Select a "Filename" that "ends with" ".pdf" or "pdf" does not seem to matter 8) Click "Okay"

That is what happens to make it crash. I have a video capture of the crash process if that would be helpful.

If i transfered files from pc (win xp) to host (hp unix) then i will the same date/time of file when create also on host with CTRL+T. But on the host are the actual date/time! Why? CTRL+T in transfer-menue is marked! FileZilla Client

I use Filezilla 3.2.7.1.

1. I connect to some ftp site.
2. Then I double click on a folder which contains ~10 000 files.
3. (Filezilla wants to open the folder and list all files now)
4. So I get a response:

"Odpowiedź 125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting."

5. I wait a looong time and nothing happens.

I think that before Filezilla opens a folder, it loads all file names to the memory. If folder has 10000 files, there is a problem.

My suggested solution: ...make some cashe? or load only those file names, which are on the first screen?

Compare: Total commander doesn't have this problem.

The firewall of avg doees't trcognize that filezilla is trying to access then is not noticed by the firewall and this causes an automatic blocking. Only hen y permit all traffic in the Internet the software works. In older version FileZilla is recognized and is possible to permit the Internet access of it. Best regards. Marcos Brodsky (elolivo)

It would be a real time-saver to have the possibility to right click in the local tree and be able to 'open file location' (show the right-clicked file or it's directory in a file browser window).

RFC 959 explains 125 and 150 (valid intermediate responses for STOR/RETR) as follows:

125 Data connection already open; transfer starting. 150 File status okay; about to open data connection.

If the data connection is already estabilished and after it the server receives STOR/RETR then it should respond with 125. I connected in passive mode using my custom client to verify this. I first estabilished a data channel and after it only I sent STOR but still got 150 which is wrong.

Following is part of my code :

Overview: When synchronize browsing is enable and if a directory is missing on remote or local system, currently the system show an alert message something like "Stop synchronize browsing and continue with the remote/local directory?" and action for ok or cancel

Suggested Feature There could be another helpful action to offer here. which is download /upload to complete synchronize?

If remote directory is missing then it will be upload and for local directory missing it will be download to offer.

Simple, shortcut keys like CTRL + 1, CTRL + 2 to access a favorite

Add a dropdown option to duplicate a file. This is good for create backup files, when I need to clone a file I need to copy and paste and rename in the explorer on a local directory. If this options exists I just need to clone and rename in ftp.

Something or someone is uploading a new index page every day without authorised access. I believe the new index page contains some sort of virus as it affects my system considerably.

Every day I have to re-load my version of the index page, but as I cannot do this every hour this does mean that there will be times when visitors to my site will be getting this potentially harmful page.

Using v3.2.7 I get an error about half way thru dowloading a large 500MB file using sftp.

The error occurs but FileZilla continues to download the file anyways.

When Overwrite is selected as default action for existing files when uploading to ftp server, the program sends Appe command

I upgraded to 3.2.7.1 ver this morning. Since upgrade filezilla will not complete file transfer of ascii file from unix hp-ux server to company file server. It always stops at 8.1%, 196,608 bytes. Next it says file exists and do I want to overwrite. Respond Yes, and it continues the same loop. If I say no, it does not complete the transfer. Have not had any problems with earlier versions of software. Please advise as I need to transfer files from unix server to file server frequently. I am running a windows XP client. Add the ability to filter files by their modification date. Ex: only show local files that have been modified within the last two hours.

After upgrading to 3.2.7.1, I am unable to retrieve the file listing of remote directories. This happens on three different FTP servers (two hosted by GoDaddy.com - one Linux, one Windows, and another Linux server hosted by EHostPros.com).

No matter which server I try connecting to, the progress always hangs and eventually times out (I've extended the T/O length to 180 seconds) with the following as the last comm Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (IP, p1, p2) Command: MLSD

I've always run in Passive mode, and the only other time I've had a similar problem was when trying to connect to a very large directory, which is not the case here. Just in case, I even tried setting my default remote directory on one server to the cgi-bin, which only has a few files in it. It times out, regardless. My router/firewall shows no messages in its security log, and I have no reason to believe my local configuration is the primary cause.

I've downgraded to 3.2.6.1, and it connects without problem or delay. Logfile is attached. Forgive me if this is a repeat of something already posted.

I download the a zip datafile every night. The file size increases daily and the file name is DataBaseNameYYYYMMDD.zip.

For some time now the downloaded file ( using different FZ versions ) is exactly double the size of the file on the remote site. When opening the zip file, the files are NOT duplicated.

I am not using Windows server.
