#4645 new Bug report
Multiple local files with same name after download

Keywords: | windows multiple local file | Cc:
Component version: | Operating system type: | Windows
Operating system version: | Vista Home Premium SP1 |
Description
When I download files with the same name but different cases (e.g. Readme.txt and readme.txt) from different remote directories to the same local directory you end up with two files in the local side of the client.
As you know in windows file names are not case sensitive so there should only be one file.

What happens if you you refresh the local file list?

I just tried it again still the same. If you download a file that exists but has a different case i.e. Web.config and web.config you get prompted to replace the file but after downloading in the left had explorer window you get both files displayed when there is only one actually there.
If you then refresh the extra file disappears
I'm using version 3.3.0.1 on windows

Please update the bug in order to catch the whole issue.
An other case where the case sensitivity on filename result to unexpected behavior:
1)FTP has a file with name a.txt
2)Local has a file with name A.txt
3)Upload the A.txt to the FTP
Filezilla will not ask for override verification.
File will is uploaded to the FTP and the original file a.txt will get lost.
