I dont know if it's only a FileZilla problem but it came up two times after i used the programm. All entries in the menus are black (black font and black background) until i move the mouse over them. THen they become visible. The problem exists now in all popup menus of my operating system (win xp sp3). Entries are black when i open a popup...very annoying. It's NOT a problem of a visual style!

Hi i gone through the settings of filezilla server and configured what you have given in the configuration settings, problem is i can able to login to filezilla server where i have hosted the site and pages loading successfull when i try to access the site error is coming the error is : Transfer channel can't be opened. Reason: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Error: Download failed.

I noticed this while I was trying to fix my problem with bug #4346 ​http://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/4346.

I know this is a bug because if I remember right, this was working a couple of versions back.

What happens is (or rather what not happens), when you override the "Default file exists action" on the root of the list (the one with the ftp user/server name) and open it again, it will select again the "use default action" even though you have selected otherwise (for example "Skip").

I hope this get fixed because it gets confusing when your doing a lot of file uploads.

Hi, this is not really a bug, is a suggestion to improve the interface.

In a file transfer, when a file already exist, FileZilla ask if the file must be replaced. All is ok, but the order of files i think is wrong.

First (upper) shows information of the file to by copied, and after (below) shows information of the file to be replaced.

In Windows, this kind of question shows first the older file (or whatever) and then the new file.

I had an older version of FileZilla, when it was updated I became confused when ask me in this new way. Why you do this ?

The issue is dependant on the 'sum of the size of filenames'. If the sum of the size of filenames in the FTP folder is up to 21.6Kb, the file adapter is picking files. 657files - not picking -- 22 KB 21,723 bytes[Sum of the 'filename' size] 656files - picking -- 21,684 bytes[Sum of the 'filename' size]

I think it would be really nice, if you made it possible to transfer a file between to servers, so you didnt have to first download file(s), disconnect, connect to the other server and upload.

If you could make it possible to view one server in the left 'window/table' and another server in the right window.

I dont know a decent way to send files between to servers, without using a third server/computer, which i dont suppose you know either.

The workaround would be connecting to both servers, and when the user wants to transfer the file(s), it downloaded them to the users computer and then, without the user doing anything, uploaded them to the second server.

When exporting (updated) Site Managing Entries from one client (v. 3.2.3 XP in this case) to the other, which contains this entries already (v.3.2.1 Vista in this case) duplicate entries are being created in "My Sites" folder. When importing Site Managing entries from 3.2.3 (XP) to 3.2.2.1 (Vista) duplicate entires are created.

The update dialog is cut off on the right side on Mac OS X. See attachment.

To reproduce the issue,

Open remote server connection (FTP) Upload a file that has been changed locally (file size should be different). Note the file size shown in the dialog box that confirms overwrite. After uploading the changed file, make more changes to the same file locally, and initiate upload again. I'm trying to create a utility for creating an XML file from a excel file for import of a queue setup in FileZilla. I've got everything but the remote server path. Example:

If I try and transfer images in an Images Folder all the images get sent to the root. I can't figure out how to create folders and the folder structure used by FileZilla. I exported a queue I created with filezilla to see the xml source and there are strange numbers used Example:

For the RemotePath why is there a [ 1 0 11 ] also before the folder CSS why is there a [ 3 ] ? why wouldn't the path be simple like: public_html/CSS/

I am using Filezilla, latest release, and are seeing connections being left open to the server after I have clicked on disconnect. The last command I do see coming across to the server is the LIST command, and that is were it is hanging.

The server is WS FTP 7, running SSL.

Hi. Recently I had to re-install my entire system (Win XP Pro SP2), but I was stupid enough to forget to export my site manager before that. So now I have a new installation of Filezilla and the copy of the installed files as they were on the previous installation of the software. As I don't have the exported xml file of the original site manager, as mentioned, is there still a way for me to get all the ftp sites I had on the previous installation of Filezilla, without having to add them all over again in the current one? Thanks a lot in advance.

The detection method used by the "Open" menu entry when right clicking on the Local files list seems to be flawed. On video files associated with Video Lan Client it reports:

The file 'E:\folder\file.avi' could not be opened: No program has been associated on your system with this file type.

Double clicking the video files in Windows explorer or Total Commander works and VLC opens the video.

For other extensions unrelated to Video Lan Client, like .txt, .doc, .pdf it works properly.

The OS is Windows 2003 Standard, 32bit.

I'm willing to run debug versions of Filezilla, just let me know.

I have configured my ProFTPD correct for working behind a firewall. So MasqueradeAddress and PassivePorts is set. Also a normal not encrypted connection is working in pasv-mode without any problems.

But using FTPES with TLS-Encryption always failed. There are several descriptions that this is a known bug and should be fixed in future Filezilla-versions. But now i am using a "future-version" 3.2.3.1 and it is still not working. :-(

I upgraded to 3.2.3.1 yesterday and then uploaded a page. My navigation bar is no longer viewable. I find that even when I reload a page with a previously viewable navigation bar (and have not made any edits to the page), that page is also without a navigation bar.

Have you heard of this problem before? I couldn't find anything in your tickets or wiki.

I am working on a site which was constructed using FrontPage (I apologize) and has .asp extensions.

I would like to propose a patch for a bug ticket 4199. The bug was the value of maxMultiple was set to not 0 upon checkbox of enabling limit number simultaneous connections. The patch follows the default action of the UI of setting maxMultiple to 1 upon the checkbox for enabling simultaneous connections.

Scenario 1

I had a long queue running, went to bed, checked the machine in the morning.

All files bar two had been successful.

A dialogue box offering an upgrade to 3.2.4 was on top of FileZilla.

I had only had half my first cup of tea for the day, so was a bit slow on uptake and decided I liked the offer of an automatic update, so clicked to carry on with the update.

When FileZilla returned, of course, the queues were all cleared, including the FAILED FILE queue.

Scenario 2

I had a long queue running, went to bed, checked the machine in the morning.

A power failure or crash occurs.

When FileZilla is reloaded, of course, the queues are all cleared.

Unhappy Result

I don't know which files failed to be downloaded.

Pain

I shall now have to hunt down the missing files, and as there is no recursive directory comparison, this will take some time. Alternatively, I could requeue all the files (about 2,000 in many hundreds of directories) and select on-exists=skip-if-same-size.

Possible Solution

PREFERABLE would be for the queues to have been saved as they were processed and restored upon loading FileZilla.

When connecting to 1 ftp server I receive an error after it logs me in that it can not retreive the directory listing. See Attached. I am currently running 3.2.4.1

It only occurs on my WAN. On my cable modem at home, it connects and transfers with no error. I spoke with our network data center and they are showing no "backtalk" from the firewall or the remote server. This has always worked until I loaded your software update about a week ago (version before this one). When I use my MAC to connect, It has no problems. No problems with DOS or Windows explorer.

Will someone in the know please make FileZilla Cocoa compliant. The UI looks terrible (same as the old Windows versions). Two thumbs up for whoever was involved in updating the icons and overall look of the Windows version - it's great. I use Windows at work and Mac at home. The Mac version is ugly (sorry, it could be prettier)!

Overall, everyone who makes FileZilla possible is doing an excellent job. I wish I could code.

If for some reason there's a problem transferring a file (for example drive full or connection timeout to server) it's moved to the "Failed transfers" tab. However, when I select the files and click "Reset and re queue files" or whatever is named, the files are moved back to the queue but they don't begin to resume.

For example, if Filezilla is configured to use three download threads and I transfer three files and one file transfer fails, the other two threads continue to download.

If I click "Reset and reque..", file gets moved back to the queue but Filezilla doesn't resume the file. If I want it to be resumed, I actually have to click on Process queue to stop all, and click Process queue again to have it resume. Or, I could just delete from the queue a file above the requeued and Filezilla will pop up the Resume dialogue.

When I choose Reset and requeue I think it's safe to assume I already solved the problem for which the transfer failed in the first place, so it should attempt to resume automatically if a download thread is available.

Perhaps it should even be placed in queue above other files currently transferred and should be resumed as soon as a download thread is available, because if there's some temporary problem (several server resets for example) there would be many partial files filling user's drive.

1. Download a file.
2. Right click on downloaded file and select edit.
3. Navigate to a different remote folder.
4. Edit and save the file.
5. Filezilla offers to upload the file. It goes to the new folder, without any way to change back to the original one.

Expected result: Upload the file to the folder it came from.

Workaround: 1. Select "No". Navigate to the correct folder and upload manually.

2. Remeber to navigate back before saving the file in your editor.
3. Edit/view the remote file instead of the local one. (But the connection may drop.)

When I try to open a file without accent, there is no problem. When a folder has an accent, it's possible to go as far as the file required, but then it becomes impossible to take it from the FTP to open it. When I use internet Explorer 8, there is no problem. But when I use Filezilla I get the message 550/data/Administration/information ÃlÃ"ves (this represents élèves in French)

It's been a long time coming.

It's a feature I know everyone wants.

It would be helpful if the up and down arrows on the site manager quick list could auto scroll when the mouse is over them rather than the current click to scroll down or up to the next item.

*I've attached two files to the ticket.

Problem: I have a problem with the site manager drop down. I have so many sites that the drop down extends beyond my screen's resolution, which is fine since I can then click and hold on a little gray arrow icon near the bottom of the list. However, the scrolling takes forever, and isn't really natural... If I want to scroll backup I have to move my mouse to the top of the list and click and hold on a different arrow icon.

Solution: Implement a vertical scroll bar in the site manager on the right hand side!

I want to right click on the three (by default) transfer queue tabs to open the context menu for this tab. If I right click a tab which is in the background, it should switch to the foreground before the context menu opens.

Is this possible?

The two icons "file name filter" and "directory comparison" in the icon bar behave different. This may be confusing to new users. The "file name filter" is enabled/disabled with the right mouse button and configured with the left button. The "directory comparison" is enabled/disabled with the left mouse button and configured with the right button.

Possible solution: Use an icon with a separate drop-down arrow. Left clicking the icon enables/disables the function. Left clicking the arrow calls the configuration. Right clicking does nothing.

Why is the function "file name filters" in the menu "View", but "force showing hidden files" is in the menu "Server"? The commands do very similar things - if you look at it from the users point of view. Ordinary users do not care if the second function is processed on the server and the first on the client.

I think both items should be in the "View" menu side by side for usability reasons.

Dear Sir/Madam, I donwnloaded the free File Zilla from your website and also, for comparison, the shareware trial version of Smart FTP.

Whereas the process of uploading files and deletion of files is quicker in File Zilla, Editing of files is very cumbersome.

In the "Remote Site" address bar, it would be handy to include an auto-complete feature so that when you begin typing an address, it suggests similar addresses, much like Mozilla Firefox's URL auto-completer. Would be extra handy if it kept a history of all paths for all time or did something similar to command line when you begin typing a path and press tab to auto-complete.

I use Windows XP. I am using verson 3.2.6.1 My files will not upload - they stop midway through and declare themselves "Failed files". I have been trying since yesterday - repeatedly. My host is ftp.forefactor.com I have deleted numerous files so that there will be room for the files to transfer. They are very large WAVE audio files (approx. 322,000,000) I have re-booted and re-started. The transfer seems to be very slow. There is a flashing red light at the bottom right hand corner of my screen (I thought this was supposed to be green).

When it fails it says the following: It disconnected from the server. Error: Disconnected from server: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted

Previously, when it disconnected, the file continued to transfer. I do not understand why it completely disconnects now.

Using windows XP pro SP3 Filezilla version: 3.2.6.1

The server > force showing hidden files does not work properly for me (no files showing). I've tested using a linux version and everythings is fine there. Actually the windows version I have sends "226-Options: -l" to the server where it should send "226-Options: -a -l".

I would welcome the ability of queues in the list of the queued files to collapse/expand with a plus/minus sign. (Very much like folder usually do in many applications.)

The following error is shown when opening password protected XLS file is failed (wrong password or cancel button was pressed): "DDE execute request failed: a transaction failed."

Tested versions: 3.2.6.1, 3.2.4.1

Every time FileZilla checked for new updates it will show Version 3.2.6.1 is avaliable. If I try to download this file, there is an error message "Timer creation failed". Got the problem every time, not only at my own system, even at other PCs. I had to download latest version manually.

I would like Filezilla to remember a previously set file exists action.

For example, let's I have a queue with three files in the queue. One is set to over-write if the file exists, one to resume and another to rename. If I close Filezilla and then restart, the queue should remember the settings I picked for each file, rather than re-prompting for each one.

I'm guessing this would be a simple flag which could be saved in the queue.xml file.

There is an extended delay of around 1 to 2 minutes starting the client. Attaching a process monitor (logs attached) it can be seen that the process is trying to open the locale directory by traversing the hard drive. When the "locales" directory in c:\program files\filezilla is renamed to "locale" there is no delay.

Excellent application, but it's really painful not to be able to right-click local files and open them in my favorite applications. The "Edit" command usually starts the wrong application. What is needed is "Open With..." dialog like in other Windows apps. Or at least "Explore this folder" to open the folder in Windows Explorer (so I can use it's context menu).

Here's how to display standard "Open With..." dialog for file named "filename" in Windows:

Furthermore, in case the connection has been closed because of a timeout FileZilla reconnects to the server.

Maybe FileZilla wants to refresh the remote directory listing after closing the search dialog (for the case something new has been discovered while searching). However, I don't understand why this should trigger a reconnect.

This seems like the weirdest problem to have. I've been shown that its a simple drag n drop, but i can't drop my docs onto filezilla. This is keeping me from moving forward with my website. Is this a firewall issue? I have Mcaffe on my computer. Let me know if seeing the docs simplifies. Hope this is a simple solution. Thanks, Jill

Under Windows there are two competing behaviours for the wheel -- scroll the focused control, and scroll the control under the cursor.

Microsoft's official stance is now the latter, in line with OS X and Linux: ​http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb545459.aspx#wheel although this is probably only effective starting with Vista.

Outlook 2003 also follows this behaviour, where Microsoft evidently realised its necessity in a multi-pane view!

This behaviour is becoming increasingly common in Windows, especially when you use it for open source, and supporting apps include FlashFXP, Firefox, Thunderbird, Outlook, Internet Explorer 8 (with framesets; don't have IE 7 to hand). FileZilla really feels like the odd one out here now!

I've tried using Tordex Wheel which introduces this behaviour systemwide but even on a P4 2.8 it has significant issues especially with Firefox, and I'd much rather that FileZilla simply work as it's supposed to instead of screwing with the OS and causing problems :-) (If Tordex Wheel actually worked properly then, sure, but the level of interference involved makes it inherently flawed. It won't even work properly at all unless you raise its CPU priority.)

Any chance of this being implemented now?

It should be made possible to automatically open the Server Manager on startup of FileZilla - just one more option :-)

As I see, there is not chance to define which command is used for keeping the connection. I'm also using the "total commander" and it's FTP client functionality. There I can set the command to "NOOP", which does - as the command implies - nothing, but traffic. I think it's the best command for keeping the connection.

The new -l/--logontype prompt is really great, as it means that FileZilla can be used as the Windows FTP URI handler.

The cherry on top would be an "Anonymous" checkbox :)

FileZilla will crash when a user creates a new file filter, is editing the rules, then switches (clicks) on another filter in the list box.

"Site manager->advanced settings tab->remote directory input" does not support names with dots (.) anymore. It says "Remote Directory path cannot be parsed" This message is totally erroneous. It should let us enter whatever we want, and not perform validation. Furthermore, a lot of us can't tell what the underlying OS is...

For instance, I need to access the folder: ​ftp://server.com/example.com

I can't type "example.com" which is the subdirectory in which I need to go. Even when I select the "Unix" dropdown options.

The FileZilla client (3.2.7.1) window is too tall and the titlebar and toolbar get cut off behind the menu bar the first time the program is launched on a MacBook (1280x800) with a reasonably sized dock (roughly 60 pixels tall).

Steps to reproduce:

• Launch FileZilla on a MacBook for the first time.

Or

• Remove ~/.filezilla and launch FileZilla.

Workarounds:

• Select Zoom from the Window menu, then resize the window down from there.

Fix:

• Reduce the default height of the window when a preferences file is not found.

When entering the the Site Manager window using Danish localization, not all the panes are visible within the window. See attached screenshot.

Problem:

While trying to upload files I get the following error: Error: Failed to convert command to 8 bit charset

FileZilla then keeps trying to upload the file every 20 seconds, resulting in the same error over and over again, blocking the entire process queue.

Suggested Solution:

move transfer to failed transfers, and possibly build a feature that certain characters automatically get replaced (should be a user specified setting of course). Either way, please make sure these failed transfers don't stall a 4106 file upload at 0.1%

For example, my linux server uses UTF-8 as a default charset, and my WindowsXP laptop uses CP949 (EUC- KR) as a default charset. There should be some charset conversion for FileZilla client to get files with correct names, and FileZilla should be able to cope with conversion failure.

I had an occasion where the remote filename was .\www\automate\LISTE.csv, and it created a local folder ./www/automate/LISTE.csv to accomodate it...

I agree that Windows wouldn't like to welcome this file as is, with that filename that is, but putting it into another folder is worse. Maybe a middle solution could be negotiated? Like replacing unauthorised characters with '_' or ?

I use Resume action when file already exist. 2 times, on even file of 170 mo (movie), the number of octet downloaded is more larger than the initial size. The process not stop (10 or 20 mo more).

There is a specific site that I cannot retrieve the directory listing of, and as such am forced to use an alternate FTP Client (LeechFTP)

Filezilla is my favorite, and works in every instance besides this specific case.

When I try to upload a file and they alredy exists I can see the options in both languages.

Create a new startup option:

"Do not install as a service, start server manually"

which will skip the:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

entry to provide manually starting.

I consider this a bug, but you may consider it a 'feature request'. Here is the break down of what happens.

I have many many sites saved in the Site Manage, when I click the down arrow on the Site Manage icon, I have a list so long that I can't see any of the sites past 't' in the list.

There is an arrow on the top of the list, but not on on the bottom to scroll down the list.

For sites below 't' I have to go into the site manager and click connect.

Not a huge deal, but I would LOVE to see a version update that included this feature/bug fix. As it would make my life a tad bit easier.

FileZilla client shows empty dir listing in a non-empty directory on AIX. This happens approximately 9 times out of 10 if I repeatedly hit the refresh (F5). Sometimes it comes back with incomplete listing.

To me this sounds like a timing issue.

My local system is Windows XP. Remote host runs AIX.

After opening a new tab, trying to change the layout under Settings > Interface > Layout to Explorer, shows the Widescreen layout instead.

ctrl-tab should wrap around from the last tab to the first, vice versa for shift-ctrl-tab

ctrl-pgup/ctrl-pgdn should also switch tab, per Windows convetion

rolling the mousewheel over the tab bar should also switch tab -- not convention, but used in a few apps and very useful :)

whenever i am trying to connect to my server the following error message is appearing - critical error, could not connect to server

I am now making a web page on php and the posibility of opening a page directly instead of having to write the URL by hand can be very helpful for testing it inmediately, note that i mean opening the full URL, not only the file like with show/edit option.

These two toggles (Remote and Local Directory Tree Toggle) are located in the top bar under the Main Menu Bar. They both have a weird behavior. Both were OFF upon start.

The weird behavior appears as soon as the tabbed interface is activated or a little later on while using it.

This behavior is characterized by:

• Clicking the button indents it (visual active state) but the panels for remote directory/local directory tree do not appear.
• The buttons do not respond to any further requests once in this state.

I am using the latest version of filezilla (updated 10 min ago.)

I have restarted filezilla and the buttons work again until I create a new tab. Unless now only the "remote directory tree" is affected by the bug. The local directory switch works properly. Then I create a new tab once again and both toggles work properly again. Then again I leave one tab open (the tab-panel disappears) and create a new tab - the problems appear again.

Truly a strange thing.

Download set to auto resume, queue the file twice, then start download. it will download in 2 different thread, to the same location, same local file(auto rename disabled). the result file is corrupt. Using FIlezilla 3.3.0.1

Since the 3 last versions (3.3.0.1, 3.3.0 and 3.2.8.1), from time time, when I download from my server (Ubuntu Desktop 8.04) a list of files, the download stops without any error message and without reason. I just do a right click, then uncheck 'Traiter la file d'attente' and then recheck and the download restart until it stops again at a later time, on the same file or not. I was unable to focus a type of file, a file size or something.

I never have this problem with the 3.2.8 and previous versions.

Every time I download a file, it gets to 100% and then stays there. I have used checksums to verify that the download has completed and then remove the download but when I add a new one it says: "ftpcontrolsocket.cpp(1819): Waiting for replies to skip before sending next command... caller=0p2e53e08" this happens in version 3.3.0.1 on Windows and Linux ( the caller is different under linux)

Hello I am running windows 7 and was using version 3.2.8.1 which was working OK, then I upgraded to 3.3.0.1 and it ran after the upgrade. But after closing the program, I always get the message missing mingvw10.dll and please reinstall the program. The mingvm10.dll is in the FileZilla folder. I have tried to reinstall the old version and now I have the same problem. I have to reinstall the program to get it to work one time.

Any Ideas?

I decided uninstall filezilla. It seems to be irresponsible software. While cute ftp insists untill the file is totally uploaded, Filezilla when encounters some difficulty in the connection, simply abandones files with ZERO length in the server side because it tryied to create new file but had problems in the connection.

I can not continue using a software that leaves zero length files in the server side when something happens to the connection. I use Cute ftp because it is more eficient.

When in synchronized browsing mode, folders will change automatically locally and remotely, but I would make sense for the scrollbar to be synchronized also.

Pressing TAB cycles the keyboard focus between the UI elements of the screen, including the Quickconnect toolbar, Local site and Remote site paths, directory trees, and file lists.

Pressing CTRL+TAB should change tabs, but instead it functions the same as TAB, until/unless the focus is currently on the Local site or Remote site path fields, at which point it functions normally until focus changes.

Currently the Transfer Queue only has three tabs: Queued files, Failed transfers and Successful transfers.

However, when doing a sync, files get listed in successful transfers list regardless of the action (skipped or transferred).

It would be nice to be able to see those counts. Maybe a new coulmn in the Successful transfers tab called "Action" where you could see (and sort using that column) if and which files have been transferred and which have been skyped. It could possibly list the reason why it was detected as different (diff file size, source file newer etc.)

The previous version worked fine. I should have kept it. When I install version 3.3.1 it works fine - once. The next time I try to use it, I get the error, "The application has failed to start because mingwm10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I re-install 3.3.1 and it works - once. Then I have to go through this process again. Why is this happening?

I use Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with all updates applied except Service Pack 3.

When selecting multiple files or folders using Ctrl+Shift in the local or server file browser, the number of Selected files/folders is shown wrong. It seems that the real number of selected files is just added to the previously displayed number of selected files.

Example: Selected 3 files e.g. using Shift (FZ displays "Selected 3 files."). If you go on selecting 2 more files with Ctrl+Shift there are 5 files selected but FZ shows "Selected 8 files." (5 real + 3 form before). Go on selecting 2 more files, FZ shows "Selected 15 files." (7 real + 8 thought from before). And so on..

Immediately prior to commencing the download of a file, FileZilla needs to refresh its knowledge of the file specs from the server. This needs to be done individually and separately for each file.

Consider the following scenario:

0. Persons "A" and "B" are both logged into the same FTP server.
1. Person A begins uploading a 500mb file "XX" (with some indeterminate FTP client).
2. Person B (running FileZilla) gets a listing of the directory during the upload. At that time, 50mb of the file has been transferred.
3. The upload subsequently completes.
4. Person B starts downloading file XX, without doing a "refresh" of the directory listing.
5. FileZilla starts the download and indicates that it expects it is downloading a 50mb file. The progress bar (bar graph) goes up to 100% and then the label changes to ">100%". FileZilla can no longer estimate how much time remains in the download.

Since files may change at any time on an FTP server, FileZilla should re-obtain the file statistics (size, date, etc) immediately prior to each file's download, not only to ensure accuracy of the progress bar and the time estimations, but also for safety of the operation as well. (For example, ability to determine if there's enough space for the download.)

If this is found to significantly impact performance (it shouldn't), a user preference can be added to select the new behavior for safety, or the old behavior for performance.

hi, there's a little thing I'd like to notify you: when you try to export a group of sites from site manager filezilla createx an .xml file containing in its 4th row this: <Folder expanded="1">My sites the problem is that when you import it in another filezilla it creates a subfolder named My sites/My sites, a kind of redundancy. You can simply avoid it by editing the .xml file and erasing the 4th row above, but you know that most of users don't know that (at least as far as I can see), so I wonder if you can just fix this by showing a popup that asks whether the user wants the program to create a subfolder or not (and so decide whether to create the 4th row or not depending on user's choice); I tried doing it by myself but my skills in c++ are a little outdated,

In Windows-Umgebung entstehen immer wieder Dateinamen mit Umlauten. Beispiel: Mail-Folder-Name = Lämmli.dbx (aus Outlook-Express).

Die Datei Lämmli.dbx wird dann nicht übertragen, eben wegen des Umlautes.

Laemmli.dbx würde funktionieren.

Könnte man von FZ aus "falsche Dateinamen" automatisch in "richtige Dateinamen" übersetzen, also Lämmli.dbx wird -> Laemmli.dbx. Diese wird nämlich ohne Fehler übertragen.

Bravo: Die fehlerhafte Übertragung wird in FZ bereits gemeldet, aber das übersieht man leider.

I was asked to provide a log file for a bug, so I enabled the log in the options. However, a log file was not created. So I needed to restart FileZilla. After restart, a log file was created. FileZilla did not ask me to restart.

Hi, I am using FileZilla on Windows 7, I was transfering many files to my FTP Server. Mostly small files, but few big ones. After all small files are transfered one of the Big files left. The Speedmeter isn't korrekt from that moment. Its as small as while the Uploadbandwith ist divided by multiple transfers, but now there is only one. In my taskmanager i can see that the full bandwith is used, but not showed in the Speedmeter in the Filezilla transferlist. It's growing but slow! I think you have to improve the calculation of the actual Speed, if there are big differences in short time.
