Not an apostrophe, accented letters use diacritics.

What's the UI language of FileZilla you're using? What's the native locale for your system?

Set debug level to 4 in the settings, and enable logging to file. Make it crash and attach the log file.

Seems to be a very specific problem I solved it by renaming the file using the TV interface of the receiver. I just renamed the file back with Filezilla, now Filzilla simply shows the following message and does not crash any more.

Attach complete logs, snippets are of no use.

Solving the problem by renaming the file was a bad idea. Now the test case is gone.

I added the complete log, now Filzilla simply doesn't transfer the file. I'm sorry but I was really pissed off and tried everything to get the transfer working (-> renamed File). I think its still a bug I can't transfer the file if the name contains diacritic marks.

You can't transfer the file because the server is broken, read http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Character_Set
You have to upgrade to a proper server or refrain from using any non-ASCII characters.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
