Hello!

Long time user, first time bookmarker. I'm not quite sure what I expected, but as I was tidying up my Site Manager I noticed the button and decided to give it a go.

While it is somewhat more convenient than navigating the file structure, I find that having it in its own menu is sub-optimal. What if the bookmarks presented in the dropdown from the Site Manager button as a second level menu.

So, hover on a connection with bookmarks and a menu pops out to the right with the list of bookmarks so you can get there without the extra step.

Still keep the bookmarks menu for navigating while connected and for those that are accustomed to it, but for my use, I generally connect for a quick task and then close FZ until I need to do something else.

We have FileZilla Pro and connecting to an S3 bucket via a IAM user creds access and secrete key. The policy we have will allow users to see all buckets and go inside the buckets to view sub-folders.

However we are having an issue with connecting to the actual buckets with it returning an error "Error: Please verify the user name and password used to connect"

Any thoughts as to why this is happening when the policy should allow the access? Just another piece of info. We also use cloudberry and it allows access to those buckets.

Have tried to download the current version numerous times and while the download shows up on my download list on the computer it continues to be stuck on version 46. I cannot get on the server.

Ok, i have on my server "linked files" and it was fine until now. Now filezilla shows those files as folders and it is a living mess. I don't see my real folders. It is all yellow.

we are running filezilla server 1.30 ( previously 1.20 which also had the same issue)

the ftp server part runs fine but the admin interface does not work ( log throws a tls error )

we have a production server and a testing server. on the testing server it runs fine

the test server has more strict setup of enabled tls version and cipher suites ( see attachment)

i suspect it might be somewhere in the code where it chooses the encryption method for the local connection with the admin interface.

I am trying to SFTP to another box on my network. The workstation I am using is Kubuntu 20.04.4 LTS, x86_64, fully patched. Kubuntu uses KDE, and includes Filezilla 3.46.3-1build1.

My network is setup for public key authentication only. All machines have the following:

I have my keys in $HOME/.ssh. I use them all the time for SSH and SCP:

When I try to SFTP to a box with Filezilla, I am getting tripped up because the UI does not allow me to select a private key in the Browse for Key File dialog. The private keys are missing from the selection:

The dialog also does not automatically select the private key based on a selected public key. (I have to select a public key because that's the only thing displayed).

I don't know if this behavior is specific to Kubuntu, or if it is present in all Debian or Ubuntu derivatives. (This is my first time using Filezilla).

When downloading files, the mouse becomes jerky and stutters as I try to move it. When the download completes, it goes back to normal.

The computer in question is a laptop, so I'm using an external wireless mouse (logitech m325) - and while this problem is happening, mouse functions are smooth using the laptop's track pad. I am using microsoft provided mouse drivers.

Greets 2 All! I do new install filezilla on clear system, 3.57.0/3.58.0 (local site) Left panel not shows any dirs & files but if I install older version, on the same system, for example, 3.53.1 or 3.16.0 - It shows normally all files & directories. "Where is the hidden dog"?

I frequently use the search function to find a specific file and download to the local folder I am working in, then 5 minutes later, search for another unrelated file and download to the same folder. There is no function to just...DOWNLOAD straight from the search window like there is if I were just perusing the remote directory. It prompts a "Download to:" dialogue every time. But within a single day that I am working, 99% of the time, this is the same folder, and I have the same requirements of the path structure and queueing. I just want it downloaded *now* with a flat structure. But it never remembers my settings, and as near as I can find, there is no option to make it remember.

If I knew already which remote folder the file I need was in, I could just sort through the list there, hit Return, and it would download, but it could be in one of several folders, and I rarely know which I'll find it in. Just an option to remember preferences would be an incredible help. Thanks.

FileZilla is a very efficient file mover. However, there is a problem of time stamp marking where the moved file has the "modified" date as the current date instead of the original "modified" date of the file being moved. This problem occurs with the FileZilla menu selection "Preserve timestamps of transferred files" activated.

For reference, the Windows 10 copy and robocopy utilities preserve both the "modified" and "created" dates.

This FileZilla operation causes my backup operations using robocopy to needlessly copy files that are already up-to-date.

I've attached three file properties screen shots - 1) the original file; 2) the FileZilla upload; and 3) the robocopy upload. Notice the time stamps of the original and robocopy file are identical while the FileZilla file has a different "Created" date

I have one biiig file on my FTP-server - about 97Gb. When transferring the file, I get "Error: File transfer failed after transferring 9 031 122 944 bytes in 1810 seconds"

It looks like the transfer resume, but it is really confusing that the transfer fails after each 1810 seconds.

(I have tried with Windows 10 Command-line FTP and WinSCP and noen of those fails).

Nice if that can be sorted / fixed in an upcoming version.

Hi, while I can't repro on demand (yet), I am having server crashes. The error suggests it's a memory access violation (Sig[6].Value=c0000005) I was running a VERY old version of the server. I recently installed 1.3.0 and since I did, I get the same crashes on both servers.

I am attaching the windows crash report. Happy to provide any more data that i can.

Server : windows server 2022 standard ram: 8gig configured, utilization never jumps over 50% of the ram cpu: 4 cores When they crash, only a single client is connected, uploading via single thread.

Upgrading from Filezilla 3.40 to 3.58 (64 bit on Win 7), version 3.58 always shows file list for local machine as blank or no files. Cannot find solution in forum or other tickets.

Also could not find on download options to fetch older versions - was unable to use FTP for days until found a copy of 3.40.

Keep up the good work, Filezilla is the best FTP client available, but when it fails, we fall into the blackhole. :)

Tried multiple times to connect to the server and it keeps giving me an error

Recently one of our customers changed his servers and so we wanted to change from FileZilla Server Version 0.9.43 to 1.3.0, but we encountered a tricky behavior, which prevented that.

He uses an old Software on Windows CE and this program transfer's files trough FTP, but we recently found out, that the path in the PUT Command is wrong. They use backslash \ instead of slash /.

Example: PUT 250122033146874.bmp \unterschriften\250122033146874.bmp And here is the tricky part, with Version 0.9.43 it changes the backslash to slash according to the log and so the file transfer works.

But with Version 1.3.0 we get Error 550 Invalid Filename, what's correct because the command itself is wrong.

As we can't change the old software and we didn't found any configuration in the new Version to allow such a behavior, we changed back to Version 0.9.43.

If it's a bug or a new feature I can't decide and I just wanted to let you know of this different behavior.

I have a website that uses a certificate from Let's Encrypt. FileZilla reports a chain of four certificates:

0 (Server certificate) 1 (Intermediate certificate) 2 (Intermediate certificate) 3 (Root certificate)

Certificate 0 is from Let's Encrypt Certificate 1 is from ISRG Root X1 Certificate 2 is from DST Root CA X3 Certificate 3 says the issuer is self-signed (DST Root CA X3) and that it expired 9/30/2021. Certificate 1 should be trusted. The DST Root CA X3 was a temporary work-around that Let's Encrypt used to get their certificates working. The expiration of their DST Root CA X1 certificate was always planned and the ISRG Root X1 certificate should be trusted.

I don't have any idea of how FileZilla does its certificate checks, but by complaining about the expired certificate (and not allowing a user override), some sites are inaccessible through FileZilla.

If FileZilla uses OpenSSL, the notes from Let's Encrypt say it must use version 1.1.0 or later.

FileZilla reject my wildcard letsencrypt cert with a error code Other clients like lftp are working.

In my deployment environment I want to install FileZilla silently in a given directory. According to the ​FileZilla-Wiki the correct command line should be for example:

FileZilla_3.59.0_win64-setup.exe /S /user=all /D=C:\Program Files\FileZilla

However, the installation always lasts in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client. I tried to use the /D argument without and with quotes. It does not make a difference. The destination directory is ignored by the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. So far, I had also omitted /user=all.

By the way: It is also unfortunate that the installer for the 64-bit version writes the uninstall information in the 32-bit branch of the registry.

When I click View/Edit a file on the server it opens in Notepad++ for me. When I edit the file and save, it does not save back to the server. However, when I close Filezilla it asks me if I really want to quit. Whatever I answer it pops up the File has changed window and will save the file to the server. I just updated to 3.59.0 this morning and this started happening.

Same as they described in the original ticket. It respects the timeout on initial login fails but if it fails during the file transfer...hammer time.

My delay was set for 45 seconds, 99 retries, 30 second timeout.

during an attempt at installing update from a clean load it reported that a file was "already open". I aborted. Now every time I load Filezilla I get an a dialog showing "an error occurred saving the transfer queue to" then next line - queue.sqlite3 which curiously is located in my system drive.

I have replaced the whole folder with a backup. The error now is permanent on load & unload.

Do I vainly keep on trying to update & replace from backup? or is there a solution? A clean install requires data. It would take a long time.

I have reported it several times, but success remains out. Not only unfortunate but also disappointing. I have to use WinSCP (PC) and SolidExplorer (Android, tablet) to log in to my provider (Ziggo, Netherlands) with the Webdav protocol. FilezillaPro always generates the error message "too many redirections". This is due to FilezillaPro, because I use the same data and settings as with WinSCP and Solidexplorer. Logging in with these apps goes without a hitch. I tried everything with Filezilla Pro, but nothing helps. I thought I'd make another attempt here, before I throw off Filezilla Pro

I edited a file on my Server, saved it and tried to upload it again. It took way to long, so i closed FileZilla. Before its closed it ask me to transfer the file which i edieted before to the server. Dont mind if you press yes or no. The file is completly empty on the Server if you run FileZilla again and look for the file.

Two days ago, I updated the FileZilla on the latest version, and the bugs with the File has change popup started immediately.

Nothing happens once I edit and save the file (from the server opened with FileZilla) in my IDE. It usually popup the File that has changed so I can click on YES and save it.

I figure it out that once I save the file, I go to FileZilla and click on Site Manager->Cancel; only then the File has change popup will appear so I can click on YES to upload the file to the server.

I'm using the latest version of the macOS Monterey 12.3.1, PHPStorm, and FileZilla. (Also, I tried with Visual Studio Code, and the issue is still there).

This bug is giving me a hard time while I'm working. I'm hoping that you will treat this as an urgent issue.

My OS, as well as most of my apps, are set to run in dark mode as it is easier on the eyes.

I cannot locate a way to turn on dark mode in Filezilla, nor can I find a setting that forces it to use the OS settings. Can this be added to the client interface?

I use FileZilla v3.59.0 (Windows 10.0 64b). The About box shows GnuTLS: 3.7.2

I am migrating from a VPS with Plesk to a more up-to-date config (also VPS with Plesk). Both use a Let's Encrypt certificate.

FileZilla connects correctly to the older VPS. It does not accept the certificate for the new VPS because of the expired DST Root CA X3 certificate.

When connecting to a site it will initially connect but then when clicking on the first folder available it appears to be completely empty. There is no error code, the status says "directory listing of "/I-Drive" successful. Have tried to reconnect several times but no luck, the site was working normally until a few hours ago.

How do setup certificates for SSH connection

I have 2FA enabled on my server and so i need to have the 'Maximum number of simultaneous connections' set to 1, otherwise every file transfer triggers the 2FA request again. This has been working fine until the latest update (It is definitely working fine with version 3.57.0).

With the latest version (3.59.0) i can connect to my server but when i try and do the file transfer in the status window it just says 'Waiting for browsing connection' and never starts the download. If i change the simultaneous connections to 2 then it does work, but i need to constantly add the 2FA code.

So FileZilla will sometimes freeze on this. Now filezilla wont progress anything, wont connect new connection to new tab onlything that helps is to restart Filezilla and start upload of 15k files again.

FileZilla wont keep connection alive somehow and results frozen behaviour. Unstead of try connect you could use somekind of is internet alive loop that waits connection to internet then tries continue. But the connector will break filezilla as it is for now. And very fustruation as I have 15k files for my app and if it breaks somewhere in 5k to go I have to try send 15k again just to filezilla check if to overjump files wich will take a lot of time again.

And since FileZilla dont have filetransfer saving or current session saver script it wont remember filetransfer on restart which is a bit annoying.

Steps to reproduce the bug:

• start FileZilla
• connect to a server
• upload a file to that server
• press "X" to close the FileZilla window

-> FileZilla still running in Process Explorer

Instead of moving items by dragging on the local side, it moves BUT leaves the original where it was, causing a duplicate to be developed.

The client is connecting to a server behind an NAT router, whose IP address facing us is also a private address, as illustrated below.

I left the setting for "Connection / FTP / Passive mode" by default, to "Use the server's external IP address instead". However, it did not work for me.

The attached log file 20220601-1751.log shows at lines 82 and 161 that the server replied with its private address, and a netstat command on the client at the moment showed it was actually trying to connect to exactly the server's private address.

I noticed a trace message in the log file, i.e.

Destination IP of data connection does not match peer IP of control connection. Not binding source address of data connection.

Having searched this message in the source code, I arrived at function CTransferSocket :: SetupPassiveTransfer, and found that its host argument seemed to be assigned in the function CFtpRawTransferOpData :: ParsePasvResponse.

Inside ParsePasvResponse, the condition for assigning the peerIP from the control socket to the host_ of the passive data connection is an un-routable data peer address as well as a routable control peer address. Unfortunately, with all un-routable, internal addresses for both data and control, my scenario effectively bypasses this mechanism.

At the end of the ParsePasvResponse function, I noticed that I can instruct the client to always use server address by setting the option OPTION_PASVREPLYFALLBACKMODE to 2, which is set by an option named Pasv reply fallback mode, stored in %appdata%\FileZilla\filezilla.xml. I wonder the intention on omitting this option in the settings UI, although it indeed provides a workaround for my situation in the current version.

I have an issue with sFTP transferts with files using a very long path length. The transfert can't start, it just creates an empty file in the remote folder) If I move my file up in the tree, no problem to complete the transfert

Transfer queue section looks bad/hard to read in desktop dark mode.

I find this issue when connecting via SFTP to MacOS's built-in ssh server, though I expect the issue occurs with all SFTP servers.

To reproduce

• On the server create a directory ending in a space (ex: "Test ")
• Add some files to the directory (ex: "1.txt", "2.txt", etc.)
• Connect to the server via SFTP using FileZilla on Windows
• Attempt to download the directory

Result

• FileZilla will create the directory "Test" (notice no space)
• FileZilla will attempt to download "1.txt" to "Test \1.txt"
• FileZilla will encounter an error because the folder "Test " does not exist

Workaround

• Manually create "Test " NOTE: most Windows utilities will trim spaces from a folder name. I was able to create the directory using WSL 1.0
• Re-try downloading the folder
• FileZilla will create the folder "Test", but will download files to the "Test " folder you manually created.
• You can manually delete the empty folder "Test"

Proposed solution

FileZilla should either

• Correctly create directories with spaces OR
• Always trim spaces from folder names

Everytime I rename my connected sites, once I close the FileZilla app and re-open it, it keeps showing New Site, New Site 2, New Site 3, etc.

I'm desperate. I have 2 macs and in neither of them I can connect via ftp with tls. I can only connect via plain ftp (insecure). I think the problem is that when making the connection it does not ask me for the certificate. Other colleagues can connect with tls, and they DO ask to accept the certificate. Why don't you ask me for the certificate? I have tried everything, I have even formatted the computer. Have you had a similar case?

On Windows 11 the local file change monitoring doesn't work. When I open the file and save it, the change popup in FileZilla doesn't appear. When I close the editing program and re-open it again, the popup apprears once the file editing software has re-opened.

I tested this with both Notepad++ and the built-in Windows Notepad.

I also tested this with Windows 10 and there I don't have the issue, I do however have this issue on all of my Windows 11 devices (3 different devices).

This issue is already there for at least a few months, I don't know exactly when it started but probably since Windows 11.

This seems to be happening at random when I close the client. Sometimes I will get a report like this, and other times it will exit with no issues. In both instances, I do not get a crash dialog, the program appears to exit just fine, but these events will show up in Event Viewer and Reliability report under Windows 10 and 11.

OS is Windows 11 64Bit. Platform is 12th Gen Intel Alder Lake, 12600K 32GB DDR4 Memory

I have attached crash dumps, so hopefully they reveal something.

Steps to reproduce the issue: Open Filezilla Client. Close Filezilla Client. You don't have to transfer or connect for the crash on exit to happen. It is intermittant.

The latest filezilla 3.59 hangs after detecting a timeout. It shows "Error: Connection timed out after N seconds of inactivity" and then stops responding to commands like "cancel current operation", "stop and remove all (from queue)" or never tries to redo the current operation. If I close the program it still stays in the task manager and I have to kill it with the taskkill command on windows to get rid of it. It makes working over poor connections very difficult and frustrating.

There's a few patches for libfilezilla that fixes the template order for the clang compiler in mingw mode and a fix for an include guard

Since updating to the most recent version I have noticed that the progress bar when uploading files runs quickly up to 100% but the upload has not finished and is continuing in the background.

While having task manager open to monitor my ethernet status, the Filezilla progress bar seems to be recording the files being read and loaded into memeory. as the progress bar reaches 100%, My RAM graph in Task manager then levels out and the disk then records 0% activity.

After latest update i cannot hold down shift button and select multiple folders. I cannot hold down ctrl button and select multiple folders. Have been using filezilla for years and years and this is the first time this issue has happened. Assuming it is an issue with latest upgrade. below is cut and paste of info

In Filezilla server 1.5.1 the field called use the following host (leave empty to use the default one) doesn't appear to be working correctly. I believe that before version 1 that field was the Get External IP. When trying to setup a passive FTP session I get an error back that server sent an unrouteable address. It sends back an RFC1918 address. When I try to paste in the original ​http://ip.filezilla-project.org/ip.php I get connected but I get errors on the client that it cannot prepare for the data connection. If I enter in my dynamic DNS name in that field I get the same result. The only way to get it to work is to put in my public IP in that field which is a dynamic IP.

When I go to ​http://ip.filezilla-project.org/ip.php I get an error NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

You cannot visit ip.filezilla-project.org right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

It would be great if Filezilla supported wxWidgets 3.2 which has now been released. We would like to move to wx 3.2 in Fedora and Debian.

Setting up Cloud Storage Connections says to select a service option from the drop-down menu when you click the "New site" button in Site Manager, but choosing a new service is actually performed via the drop-down menu Protocol at the right-hand side of the popup dialog.

At the moment when I press Enter after editing a filename (local or remote), the client abrubtly closes. It happens only when I hit the Enter key on the NUMBER PAD. The filename did get changed to what I had typed.

In windows (I'm using windows 10 but it's the same on all versions) the folder modification date is changed every time something inside is changed.

When using the "compare" tool FileZilla marks the remote and local folders as different, even though there are exactly the same files inside with nothing to change.

Would it be possible to put in an option so that FileZilla ignores the last modification dates of the folders? Obviously if a folder was not present on remote or local it should continue to highlight it in yellow as it does now.

The x64 setup writes registry keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node.

There are two keys:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\FileZilla Client
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\FileZilla Client

If the software is x64 it should not use the WOW6432Node key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FileZilla 3 will be created after the install for 'fzshellext'

After uninstall FileZilla the registry Key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\FileZilla Client" is still there even after a reboot.

Is that the way it's supposed to be?

I am no longer able to install FileZilla Client via windows package manager (Winget).

I believe this is a user agent check being performed on the server from some basic testing I have done.

I am not sure which UA Winget presents.

If this is not able to be fixed, I can raise a PR to get FileZilla removed from the Winget repository.

Filezilla won't connect. I get "status:connecting to lime.myseedbox.site..." but it just stays there and doesn't connect. It has been doing this for 2 days. I am using the latest version.

OSX 10.15.7, FileZilla 3.60.2 Downloaded FileZilla_3.60.2_macosx-x86.app.tar.bz2 and unzipped using WinZip. The SHA code matched. However, FileZilla.app would not open. Fixed the problem by running chmod -R 744 FileZilla.app Suggestion: set all file permissions correctly in the download file so this step is not necessary.

Also tried to update on another machine, OS 10.14.6; same thing, same fix.

The process list doesn't appear to be sorting. When you click the column headers the order changes the first time you click, but then subsequent clicks do nothing.

Remote site file panel couldn't count files more then 9998. If there are more files it is shows always 9998.

I purchased the pro version. Thinking that the bug of closing alone was due to being the free version.

The bug happens as follows. I open fillezilla, do some transfers, when I open another application and go back to filezilla it simply closes everything.

Last two version are not building correctly on i386.

I received a message that the license count has already been maxed out; however, I realized that I did not "deactivate" the license on one of my old computers. Are you able to assist in deactivating it from a former computer of mine? The computer has since been wiped and assigned to someone else; so there isn't an ability for me to access anything FileZilla related.

Hello, i am sumbitting this ticket i discovered a few years ago while browsing files on my server. i think the issue is the 20% specifically. but i havent done any specific testing. just thought i would let you know about this issue, that i am quite surprised hasnt been reported yet.

i have verfified if i remove the "%" from the folder name i have no problem entering the folder. its been a while since i was messing with is, but if i recall properly i created a folder with just "%" and that opened just fine but again probably should verify that.

After updating to 3.61.0, I get challenged for a password even after adding a .ppk key file in edit>settings>SFTP.

It will take a few seconds to list. And it only happens in the goolge drive, all the other directories are fine. I am using the lastes version google drive.

Hello on windows 7 32 bit the client does not show files from the desktop how to solve this problem this problem exists on versions like 3.60.0 and 3.61.0

Since the update I get a critical error, tries to log on and then does not go through. Others here who have not updated do not have this issue.

The default timeout value of 20 means that certain directory listings, which take servers longer than 20 seconds, will be "silently" skipped.

They will appear red in the rolling log at the top, but will be lost when you are downloading thousands of files.

When you increase the timeout value the directories are correctly downloaded. This is a usb cable connection, so latency or bandwidth really aren't issues.

This has lead to data loss for me, as I use ftp and filezilla to make backups on my phone.

I have tried this with multiple servers and yes it is reproducible.

The problem are the Whatsapp image directories that just have too many entries and the servers on Android taking longer than 20 seconds to reply.

What I would expect is that at the very least an error is prominently displayed in red. It could be in failed transfers, though that is a bit of a misnomer.

BUT, that filezilla silently, without a popup or anything fails, while reporting to the user that all files have been successfully transfered, I consider wrong.

Perhaps you are aware of this. Please consider throwing a popup or toast or something that states, no the transfer didn't go through fine.

(The attached screenshot is of me trying this with the shortest timeout value, as you can see at the bottom all transfers supposedly went through fine)

In Advanced tab, "Default remote directory" a spec of /homedir/user/ the ending slash used to be saved. Now you can specify it but it will be saved as /homedir/user (wo the slash).

According to POSIX the difference is with an ending slash it is considered to be only a reference to a directory. Without the slash it can be either a directory or the name of a file.

I found this to be a problem when using secure FTP versions at my new ISP, but not at my previous one. To compare your product some other ftp clients do save the ending slash.

When I edit my settings and click save, I get an error about the program not being able to locate Notepad on Windows 11. I can see the options menus until I click save and then it just gives me the error.

I expect right click to select an item and then give me the context menu for it.

That's how it works in the upper frames, but not the lower.

In the lower, you have to left click an item, then right click it. If you left click an item, then right click on another, the context menu relates to the first.

I nearly gave up using Filezilla because I was right-clicking to select view/edit, which was greyed out unless I left clicked first.

My first idea on improving FileZilla - would be great to use cross-device sync on the Site Manager entries.

Another idea I guess worth thinking of.

I believe the new icon should be updated to fit the other icons for MacOS. Right now it's larger then all of the other + there could be even an option to change to a simpler icon with normal, rounded corners :)

"You have to enter a hostname" bug. Not sure if this issue occurs on Windows but I hope it gets fixed.

I've been transferring files through Mix Explorer <Android app> and my computer (Mac) always the same way; FTP, quick connect, anonymous user, no TLS. Always successfully. Now I'm getting this error:

I can't enter a password to upload a file because it is locked. When I click on the locked word, a place to enter my Filezilla password appears. After I enter my Filezilla password, I get a list of sites and usernames. When I select one, a "fill" sign comes up, presumably for me to fill in the password for that site. However, when I click on "fill" the list disappears and the password for Filezilla remains locked.

Hi, the CSS file does not upload correctly. It may upload one change and not the others, or it does not upload any changes at all.

This bug exists very long time and look like nobody notice it, since most users not run Client for days, weeks and months. But I do.

It is look like - Client will be open with connection to some servers. You return here and start work with server. Like change directory. Client write in log something like "retrieving directory content" and not follow your requests anymore.

You need wait end timeout when Client realize there no connection and goes reconnect and command. Or you can press "interrupt connection" (yes, this button active when there no active connection), say yes. Client goes glitch and show some BS like travel on non sync dir, but after resolve it all goes fine.

As I see this happen because in code exists simple check connected server or no. It is done as 32-bit timestamp of last connection/action vs current timestamp. This timestamp overflowed on some intervals. Which leads to pass check and Client start work like there active connection.

I not sure what exact interval for appear this bug, but possible near 48 hour.

I am not sure why it does not download empty folders.

If you set up filters to filter out all the files in a folder, it will not download the empty folder. That empty folder name is what I am looking for, which is why I would like to have it downloaded, but do not want to waste bandwidth downloading the contents of the folder.

When I say folder, I mean directory.

This would be a great help to me and will donate if fixed (or added I guess), thank you.
