#3379 | Action after queue completion "shutdown" does not work | normal | 16 years
Description |
I have FileZilla 3.0.5.2, and I chose for it to shutdown on queue completion (right-click in the queue, action after queue completion, shutdown system), and when the queue completes successfully a box appears saying "system will soon shutdown unless" and a progress bar, which increases. There's a skip and a cancel button. If I leave it for the progress bar to reach the end, the window disappears, but the system does not shut down. No messages are listed in the status box at the top of the window regarding this error (where the connection and transfer messages go -- is that the only place to get this log?). If I try again, and choose "skip" instead, still nothing happens, but the progress bar window goes away. If there's any more information you need from me, please let me know. I'm using Windows XP SP2. I believe the log you want is attached -- please let me know if this is not the case. Kind regards, Jonathan |

#3384 | Symbolic Links not handled correctly | normal | 16 years
Description |
In FileZilla version 3.0.5.2, symbolic links on a remote FTP server are treated as folders in Filezilla. This causes you to be unable to download that file. Other FTP clients and a prior version of Filezilla (Version 2.2.32) did allow for the client to follow the symlink and download the file. This only appears to be the case when dealing with symbolic links to files. Symbolic links to directories are handled correctly. |

A message pops up in Filezilla offering to upload it back to the server. But because the folder name has changed, it uploads it to the wrong place. It seems sometimes the file is uploaded into the root, and sometimes into the first folder that exists on the remote site. #3418 | Linux configure issue for Filezilla 3.0.7.1 | normal | 16 years
Description |
Hi All, The --prefix option for configure seems to be ignored when searching for idna.h, I have most programs installed in a non standard location as I do not have root access so I point prefix to the base location for my installs. This usually works, but not for Filezilla, to work around this I did the following: I created an sh script and set a variable pointing to where I wished prefix to point to and then used the following: CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I$PREFIX/include" export CPPFLAGS LDFLAGS="-L/lib64 -L/usr/lib64 -L/usr/X11R6/lib64 -L$PREFIX/lib" export LDFLAGS configure --prefix=$PREFIX This allowed configure to complete. I had tried setting --includedir and --libdir, but neither of these worked. Can this be fixed so all that needs to be set it the prefix location? |

#3421 | Huge password security issue | low | 16 years
Description |
I'm using FileZilla v3.0.7.1 from PortableApps and I don't know if this is a bug or just a cofiguration issue but it's worth mentioning it. The SiteManager looks as the sites were safe, but they aren't. FileZilla saves the site from SiteManager in a configuration file called sitemanager.xml (a plain text file containgin some xml formatted data). (In previous versions the sites where contained inside the settings.xml) In FileZilla v2.x the passwords for the sites where encrypted with some sort of algorithm, but as I checked the sitemanager.xml file I discovered that the passwords are saved in plain text. Well this is a very huge security issue as gaining access to the xml will reveal the passwords of the server. Is this how FileZilla works? Are there future plans to secure the sites stored in the sitemanager.xml file? |

It continued to download until it was 156MB and then produced the following error: The data is invalid. Error: Critical error Same exact thing with the second file (except that one went until 145MB). #3505 | Invalid Port Number | normal | 16 years
Description |
If you type a textual address into the host box in either the quick connect or the manager, the program fails with the message: Could not parse server address: Invalid port given. The port has to be a value from 1 to 65535 This same message occurs regardless of what port number is used. There is no reason, that i am aware of, why the textual host value should not work (it works in all browsers and other ftp clients). If text is not supported, it should mention that and ignore the port number, (which was correct) until a numerical value for the host is entered. |

#3524 | .xml file problem | normal | 16 years
Description |
I use a media player that uses an .xml file for the playlist. I tried uploading three instances of the player to some webspace last evening. None of the three would work. I have another instance of the player on the space that I had uploaded probably with a 2.xx version of FileZilla. I finally traced the problem down to the playlist which is an .xml file. When I was reasonably certain that the problem was with the .xml file I got FireFTP and uploaded my playlists with that program. The players all work with playlists uploaded with FireFTP. I have two computers and I tried with both computers. To check I uploaded the files using FileZilla 3.0.10. All the players broke again. Reuploading the files with FireFTP fixed the players again. My Computers both run Windows XP Home OS. They are Core 2 Duo computers with 2GB of ram. I had version 3.0.5 running when I first encountered the problem. I checked for updates and updated to 3.0.10. I have attached one of the .xml files. I did not download one of the broken ones to compare. |

#3525 | Renaming the distant file crashes Filezilla | normal | 16 years
Description |
I did it again. Actually, I was wrong saying that renaming the remote file did freeze the computer. It only crashed Filezilla, but everything got very slow for 2 or 3 minutes. I did set the debug on verbose, but couldn't get any indication, and after the crash of Filezilla, nothing seems to remain. This time, I did upload a file, then right-clicked to rename : it crashed. After that, I disconnected / reconnected my computer to the distant server, then only tried to rename the file that was on it (right-click). It crashed Filezilla all the same. When you first said that the "issue had been fixed", was it about that ? (before "ooops, wrong button" ?) If yes, do you have an idea about the time I'll have to wait for the next version (roughly, one week, one month, more ?). Thanks for your time reading me and answering my question. Version 3.0.11.1, Win XP When uploading a file, I drag it from the local folder into the upload folder. If I drop it in a space in the same row as a subfolder in the remote site window, the file goes into that subfolder. I believe it should go in the current folder as putting it in the subfolder has undesirable consequences - uploading to a folder with lots of subfolders and maybe one file becomes tricky, and its easy to upload files to random subfolders without realising. |
