keyboard navigation does not work in directory trees

Description
When the focus is in the file list (local or remote), when I type a letter (for example "i") the filename selection (or focus ?) goes to the next directory or filename which begins with the typed letter (for example "index.html").
Intuitively, it should work the same way in the "directory trees" (local or remote), but it does not. I remember it worked in Filezilla 2 versions.
