Big image wont upload correctly

Description
I use filezilla in passive mode to upload big images (4 to 6MB) to a lycos multimania account.
If i touch my computer launch an program or browse the internet while the image is uploading the image doesn't upload correctly. It has either stripes, strange white lines, blocks. etc.

Your configuration seems to be improper. Please run the network
configuration wizard and follow its instructions.
As long as the test at the end of the wizard fails, your
configuration is not correct.
Reopen only if the test succeeds and the problem did not go away.
