#4215 | invisible folder | normal | fixed | 15 years | 10 years
Description |
I just recently downloaded the most recent update. I downloaded the files and folders from my site; I couldn't see my folders on my local directory. I tried to download them again, but got the overwrite option window. I refreshed my directory and then saw my folders. This has never happened before. |

#5017 | Download stop randomly without any reason | low | outdated | 14 years | 10 years
Description |
Hi, Since the 3 last versions (3.3.0.1, 3.3.0 and 3.2.8.1), from time time, when I download from my server (Ubuntu Desktop 8.04) a list of files, the download stops without any error message and without reason. I just do a right click, then uncheck 'Traiter la file d'attente' and then recheck and the download restart until it stops again at a later time, on the same file or not. I was unable to focus a type of file, a file size or something. I never have this problem with the 3.2.8 and previous versions. FileZilla Client Version: 3.3.0.1 Build information:

#7744 | At 16,385 files, Filezilla goes into an infinite loop | high | outdated | 13 years | 10 years
Description |
I have done 3 times. I am using FileZilla 3.5.1 on my PC, MS-Windows, Ver 5.1(Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_....:Service Pack 3) I want to transfer 62,424 files, with names like PHO_0xxxxxxx-5_1003457.HL7;1 to an USB drive (E:) on my PC. I am connected to a VAX OpenVMS V8.2. To gather the names (LIST in FTP) takes about an hour. I then do a CTRL-A on the names in the "remote directory" screen, and put it into the "Home" screen. I am also watching My "Task Master" Perforamce tab, to watch the CPU Usage screen. After about 45 minutes, CPU Usage becomes 100% usage and no more files are being copied. I "stop" Filezilla and check the number of files on my USB "Memery stick" and all 3 times the same number files, 16,385. 16,385 = 214 + 1. These files are anywhere 1KB big to 120KB big. And they are 100% text files, or HL7 files. If possible, let me know. Thanks |

#4376 | File size shows same after uploading same file | low | fixed | 15 years | 10 years
Description |
To reproduce the issue, Open remote server connection (FTP) Upload a file that has been changed locally (file size should be different). Note the file size shown in the dialog box that confirms overwrite. After uploading the changed file, make more changes to the same file locally, and initiate upload again. This time the overwrite window will show the ORIGINAL file size, not the new changed file size that got changed because u uploaded new file in step(2) |

#844 | Failure to establish TLS connection behind NAT gateway | normal | 19 years | 10 years
Description |
FileZilla (2.2.12c) can't establish a TLS connection to a PureFTPd server (possibliy other servers, too?) when it (the FileZilla client) is sitting behind a NAT gateway. The problem already arises during the TLS connection negotiation (so this is _not_ a "classical" firewall issue with tracking the data connections!). The conversation looks like this:
over again The connection does not get to the point, where the TLS encryption for the control channel is succesfully established (this would show up in the log files) Whe the FileZilla client has a "real" IP address, it can cooperate with the same server. Other clients (I tested "lftp") have no problem to establish the TLS connection through the NAT gateway. Attached is a packet dump of the network traffic ( which due to the encryption is not really enlightening) |

#7284 | 'failed to write xml file' | normal | duplicate | 13 years | 10 years
Description |
Hi there, I have an ASUS Eee PC, Netbook (1G RAM). I only recently installed filezilla and did so under the instruction of my web hosts -- who say they are quite familiar with the program. I have successfully made several connections to their server and uploaded files onto it. This is the primary reason I installed the program. The last three times I have started filezilla, a series of error messages have been popping up (see attached images). I have to click 'OK' on the boxes, of which there might be anything up to seven or eight. Two or three appear as the program opens and three always appear at the end of the session. This doesn't seem to be affecting my ability to connect to the remote server; I have performed a test connection and uploaded a file to check. I'm just wondering is this an omen of worse problems to come. Thanks, Kath T Today I also downloaded the newest version of filezilla, hoping the problem would stop, but it didn't. I just started up and shut down filezilla and have taken screenshots of every error alert I have to click through; errors 01.gif and 02.gif appeared at the beginning and the rest at the end. I have checked to see the destination folders in the error messages and the files mentioned are there, but I don't know much about what the messages mean. |

#7955 | Can't browse Cyrillic folders on the remote server but total commaner browse it so problem is not on the server. | normal | outdated | 12 years | 10 years
Description |
Program Version: 3.5.3 When I encounter some folders on the remote server that have some or all of the characters in Cyrillic, they are displayed by the fine, but as soon, as I click on it, the second folder gets created with the wrong charset. The program takes me to the wrong charset folder, while the folder that has normal Cyrillic characters doesn't disappear. When I try to click on the correct version, it sends me back to the folder duplicate with the wrong charset. I can see all of the files and folders inside of the wrong charset folder, but I cannot do anything with them, only look at them. It gives me an error if I try to download or view files, or browse nested folders. When I type the directory path in address bar - same thing happens. |

#3876 | Filezilla's GUI in Linux (Gnome) is buggy | normal | rejected | 16 years | 10 years
Description |
Hello, After installing a new (the default 8.10 one, with the 8.10 GTK engine : "gtk2-engines-murrine") theme on my OS (i use GNOME + Compiz), i noticed Filezilla's GUI was having trouble with it. My problem is that the font of the text in the "file explorers" (local and remote) is light-grey, while the theme background is just... white. On my theme, the light-grey is the text colour for taskbars and such things, which all have a dark background. The area with white background is meant to go with dark text colour. So i think the problem is that for these text areas in Filezilla, the text color that is picked is not the one that should be used with the background colour (grey+white instead of black+white). This is likely to happen in a lot of themes, including one of the default themes of Ubuntu 8.10 coming in less than 3 weeks. I hope you can correct this bug, it's likely to be half a line to write, but as it's pretty annoying, it'd be cool that you do it fast, or tell Ubuntu devs at launchpad.org how to solve it and add it to our repository. Greetings, SD. |

#3277 | Background color of various areas gray instead of white | normal | 17 years | 10 years
Description |
FileZilla version: 3.0.1, as downloaded for GNU/Linux in binary form from SourceForge, installed manually OS: SuSE Linux 10.1 Architecture: AMD64 Hi, First of all, thanks for having ported my favorite FTP program (FileZilla of course ;o) ) to my favorite operating system (Gnu/Linux)!!! As for the bug : FileZilla 3.0.1 displays the local and remote site directory tree and file areas, as well as the transfer queue area with a gray background instead of a white one. The message log on the other hand gets displayed with a white background, and the background of the icons of the remote directory tree is white as well, so I presume this is a (minor) bug. It would be great if this could be fixed in a future release of FileZilla!

#1238 | Incorrect year displayed | normal | 17 years | 10 years
Description |
Filezilla client connecting to AIX server via secure FTP shows the wrong year (2006) on certain files and directories. Those files and directories were created when the system date was rolled to test DST (from 02/27/2007:14:05:00 to 3/11/2007:01:00:00). The time then rolled at 01:59:59 to 03:00:00. Files created previous to DST rollover still show correct year. New directories dated after date/time was rolled back (to 02/27/2007:{current_time}), show the correct year if some files in it have a 2007 year (because files/directories were created before the DST time change). An earlier reported bug may be related (1608370 "Year bug") but is not the same. When files are seen via another FTP client ("SecureFX") or with another telnet program ("PuTTy" or "SecureCRT" terminal), the year IS correct. So far, only Filezilla shows the anomaly. |

Note :-- Secure FTP configured on the server (FTPS) . port - 990 allowed in firewall in server. I don't understand , is it a bug in filezilla client version 3.6.0.2 or there is any setting missing on server side. Kindly provide me resolution / Workaround for the same ASAP. I will be thankful for the same . Regards, Sahil Dua |

#7837 | Problem Uploading via FTPS. | blocker | fixed | 12 years | 10 years
Description |
I recently installed Fedora 16 onto my laptop. Since then I have been having trouble uploading over FTPS. This affects both FTPS and FTPES modes, and only affects uploads. What happens is that the upload proceeds for only a few Kilobytes, then the connection times out and the upload resumes (REST). For another few Kilobytes, then times out again. Et. Cetera. Trying an older version of FileZilla on Ubuntu works fine. However, an older version of FileZilla on Fedora still fails. My guess is that the problem might be due to the version of GnuTLS on Fedora, but this is only a guess. Below are the details of the versions of FileZilla I have tested. #1101 | Local Site Treeview not sorting | normal | 18 years | 10 years
Description |
The list(s) of directories shown in the local site treeview are no longer sorted into alphanumerical order. This works fine in 2.2.15 but was broken by 2.2.18 and is still broken in the latest version 2.2.23. The filename list below works fine in all versions as does (in my experience) the remote tree view - it is ONLY the local treeview that is affected. This makes navigating through local directories/servers with a large number of subdirectories extremely tedious (in fact, I downgraded back to 2.2.15 because I found it so annoying!) Cheers! |

#794 | SFTP download fails with "no such file or directory" | normal | 19 years | 10 years
Description |
I have tried to get support for this at the forum, but no ideas. See the thread at: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php? t=606&highlight=sftp The problem appears to be with SFTP in particular. The connection to the users home directory works fine, but issuing "download" in the home directory fails. Text from the thread: We are trying to pull files down to the client via Filezilla's SFTP client and we are having a problem. The server is OpenSSH 3.7.1p2. When doing view/edit or download all return the following output: Status: Starting download of /home/username/test.ksh Command: GET test.ksh C:\Documents and Settings\username.domain\Desktop\test.ksh FALSE Response: /home/usernametest.ksh: no such file or directory Error: Download failed It looks like the response is missing a / between the directory and the filename. Is this a known issue? FYI...I tried to do the same transfer with the PuTTy client directly with the same results. I have been successful with the ssh.com client and OpenSSH commandline client from UNIX. I am attaching a debug trace if it helps. This is hight priority for us as we can't donwload any files through SFTP using Filezilla. I have tested with the same results on Filezilla 2.2.8a through 2.2.10. The problem still exists. Cheers, Keehan P.S. From the thread...it is interesting to note the same problem directly in puTTY. Perhaps the problem is puTTY directly. |

#1147 | Cannot GUI upload to unlist-able directory | normal | 18 years | 10 years
Description |
From the GUI interface, FileFilla will not upload to a directory it can't "list". You can "cd" to that directory and get a "current directory is" returned but if a "list" is denied and you subsequently "doublelick" on a file to upload, FileFilla arbitrarily disconnects and starts over which (of course) negates the previous "cd" command. See below.

Description |
I am trying to transfer the binary file from the remote server to my local directory by dragging and dropping it. The original file has size 1,855,488 bytes, the resulting file has size 1,855,392, as also reported by filezilla itself. The file is the binary SQLite database. The transfer log: Status: Starting download of /public_html/xxx/includes/xxx Command: PASV Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (198,46,81,146,124,133) Command: RETR webcal Response: 150-Accepted data connection Response: 150 1812.0 kbytes to download Response: 226-File successfully transferred Response: 226 2.623 seconds (measured here), 0.68 Mbytes per second Status: File transfer successful, transferred 1,858,120 bytes in 3 seconds Status: Disconnected from server File is always transferred with the same discrepancy (subsequent attempts produce the same wrong version). The file in question didn't have any extension (no periods in its name). There is 'Default transfer type' option in 'Settings' which was set to 'Auto'. When I selected 'Binary' there, the discrepancy disappeared. Another, smaller, SQLite database (290,816 bytes) was transferred correctly. It had a period in its name, but no recognizable extension. So I believe that filezilla wrongfully defaults the type of file without extension to 'Ascii'. When the type of file isn't known, and 'Auto' is selected, it should default to 'Binary'. version 3.6.0.2 |

#8549 | IIS 2008R2, SSL cipher issues, dropped connections | high | fixed | 11 years | 10 years
Description |
On IIS 2008 R2, with an SSL connection, with PCI compliant ciphers only, a variety of broken and dropped errors occur. Server set to PCI compliant ciphers only (RC4 128, 3xDES 168, AES 128, AES 256). On v3.6.0.2: wont connect at initial start up; server drops the connection with this error: An TLS 1.2 connection request was received from a remote client application, but none of the cipher suites supported by the client application are supported by the server. The SSL connection request has failed. i.e. no matching Cipher. Note on 3.6.0.2, if we allow the non PCI ciphers, it does connect, but, then fails on upload transfers, with "invalid transfer" message in the log (i don't know which cipher its selected). On older 3.53; with the AES ciphers in the top of the list, it will connect, but fails the file upload transfer. With RC4 cipher as the first choice (beast ordering), it fails outright and never connects. |

#9337 | Transfer not retried after code 530 | normal | wontfix | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
Windows, version 3.7.4.1. Imagine I attempt to transfer/upload 20 files to my FTP site (not FileZila server). My FTP server supports 10 connections. I set the transfer to support 10 connections. Sometimes, the server fails with code 530 (see log below). Bug is, when that happens, it doesn't attempt to re-try file upload. I have attached a log file. In is it the initial attempt to upload the files. Then, there are 2x more attempts to upload the files that didn't initially transfer. I understand that the retry logic is tricky. However, the minimum it should do is -- at the end of the transfer, it could show a dialog saying something like "7 of 20 files failed to transfer". Keep up the good work! Sean |

#9318 | 'Overwrite if newer' overwrites file even if they have the same timestamp while uploading. | normal | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
Using version 3.7.3 the options 'Overwrite if newer' works correctly. However, after upgrading to version 3.7.4.1 all files are overwritten even if the files have the same timestamps. I tested it with identical directories and files. First I uploaded files with version 3.7.3. Everything works as expected. Only files that actually were newer got transferred. Then I set-up exactly the same files and directories and use version 3.7.4.1. All files were transferred, even the files having identical timestamps. I also noticed that the files have correct identical timestamps in the treeview (see attachment for just one file). Settings the server timezone offset +1 solves the wrong file-overwrite behavior. However then the times in the treeview are not displayed correctly. The logging for transferring 1 file that has identical timestamps at both the server and the client (test.txt) looks as follows: Status: Verbinding aangemaakt, welkomstbericht afwachten... I am using the most current Filezilla version. I transferred the file 1harry.html onto my Website http://www.igs.net/~awhp. I double click on 1harry.html to upload and get the window twice "Target file already exists," with action as "Overwrite" since I'm attempting to upload an updated version of 1harry.html. The transfer starts at Queued Files, looks like it's transferring with the numbers increasing. The message at the bottom says,"Failed transfers(1) and the message "Could not start transfer." Before, the upload would say successful but show the new file size as 0. I have checked the forums and attempted all the recommendations listed but without success. This issue has been ongoing for three weeks. Log: Status: Resolving address of www.igs.net Status: Connecting to 206.80.254.73:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... #9468 | encrypt websites data, irrespective of application password | normal | duplicate | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
Five years ago (Ticket #4565) this request was rejected, with the conclusion "On a secured computer plain text passwords are secure". There is no such thing as a secured computer, and recent events prove this without doubt. If you trust your door lock, then you may conclude that you dont need to lock drawers, but in reality you do: you are protecting at different levels; you may want your kid not to have access to the drawer but you still give him a key to your house. The drawer lock may not be foolproof, but it does deter from prying. Website data needs a drawer-level security. Stating that "A (security) chain is only as strong as its weakest link" does not mean that making things more difficult to an intruder is useless. I wish the developers take a different stand on this issue. Until then, I will replace FileZilla with a client more respectful of this point of view. Bye FileZilla. |

I am seeing any new files added to a RHEL 5.x box using SFTP, shows file having Last Modified date that are in the future. I have seen the bug here in tickets, but it seems to just get dismissed ? If I go local to the server via ssh the dates are correct locally. I have checked the ntp server, the date/time, zones, on server and client and everything is in order. My client machine is a Windows 7 Pro sp1 64bit os. |

I just encountered an error where FileZilla repeatedly tries to transfer a file but it says it fails. I only noticed the problem on a handful of files. The ftp server is pure-ftpd 1.0.36-1.1 running on Debian. Here is a debug log from Filezilla where it attempts to get the file. I can provide more logs (from pure-ftpd as well) if needed. 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::SendNextCommand() 18:24:06 Trace: FileTransferSend() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::SendNextCommand() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferSend() 18:24:06 Trace: state = 2 18:24:06 Command: PASV 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnRead() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::OnReceive() 18:24:06 Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (88,198,67,185,39,174) 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferParseResponse() 18:24:06 Trace: code = 2 18:24:06 Trace: state = 2 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::SendNextCommand() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferSend() 18:24:06 Trace: state = 4 18:24:06 Command: RETR LGPLv3.txt 18:24:06 Trace: CTransferSocket::OnConnect 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::Handshake() 18:24:06 Trace: Trying to resume existing TLS session. 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::ContinueHandshake() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnSend() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnSend() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnRead() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::ContinueHandshake() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnRead() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::ContinueHandshake() 18:24:06 Trace: TLS Handshake successful 18:24:06 Trace: TLS Session resumed 18:24:06 Trace: Protocol: TLS1.2, Key exchange: RSA, Cipher: AES-256-GCM, MAC: AEAD 18:24:06 Trace: CTransferSocket::OnConnect 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnRead() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::OnReceive() 18:24:06 Response: 150-Accepted data connection 18:24:06 Response: 150 7.5 kbytes to download 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferParseResponse() 18:24:06 Trace: code = 1 18:24:06 Trace: state = 4 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::SendNextCommand() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferSend() 18:24:06 Trace: state = 5 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnRead() 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::OnRead() 18:24:06 Trace: CTransferSocket::OnReceive(), m_transferMode=2 18:24:06 Trace: CTlsSocket::Failure(-110, 0) 18:24:06 Error: GnuTLS error -110 in gnutls_record_recv: The TLS connection was non-properly terminated. 18:24:06 Status: Server did not properly shut down TLS connection 18:24:06 Error: Could not read from transfer socket: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted 18:24:06 Trace: CTransferSocket::TransferEnd(3) 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::OnReceive() 18:24:06 Response: 226-File successfully transferred 18:24:06 Response: 226 0.000 seconds (measured here), 45.89 Mbytes per second 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferParseResponse() 18:24:06 Trace: code = 2 18:24:06 Trace: state = 5 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::SendNextCommand() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferSend() 18:24:06 Trace: state = 8 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::TransferEnd() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::ResetOperation(2) 18:24:06 Trace: CControlSocket::ResetOperation(2) 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::ParseSubcommandResult(2) 18:24:06 Trace: FileTransferSubcommandResult() 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::ResetOperation(2) 18:24:06 Trace: CControlSocket::ResetOperation(2) 18:24:06 Error: File transfer failed after transferring 7,802 bytes in 1 second 18:24:06 Trace: CFileZillaEnginePrivate::ResetOperation(2) 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::FileTransfer() 18:24:06 Status: Starting download of /www/mango/public/twizy_notused/backend/lib/PHPMailer/LGPLv3.txt 18:24:06 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::ParseSubcommandResult(0) 18:24:06 Trace: FileTransferSubcommandResult() 18:24:08 Status: Skipping download of /www/mango/public/twizy_notused/backend/lib/PHPMailer/LGPLv3.txt 18:24:08 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::ResetOperation(0) 18:24:08 Trace: CControlSocket::ResetOperation(0) 18:24:08 Status: File transfer skipped 18:24:08 Trace: CFileZillaEnginePrivate::ResetOperation(0) 18:24:08 Trace: CFileZillaEnginePrivate::ResetOperation(0) 18:25:08 Status: Disconnected from server 18:25:08 Trace: CControlSocket::DoClose(64) 18:25:08 Trace: CFtpControlSocket::ResetOperation(66) 18:25:08 Trace: CControlSocket::ResetOperation(66) 18:25:08 Trace: CFileZillaEnginePrivate::ResetOperation(66) 18:25:08 Trace: CControlSocket::DoClose(64) 18:25:08 Trace: CControlSocket::DoClose(64) 18:25:08 Trace: CFileZillaEnginePrivate::ResetOperation(0) |

If I set FileZilla 3.8.0 to search for new nightly builds it correctly suggests the build 2014-05-29. Now I have installed FileZilla 3.8.1-rc3. If I choose to search for nightly builds it says I have the latest version. I have had a look at filezilla.xml. It seems FilleZilla got the correct info from update server.

Description |
I have a website with an IDN name, demægtigevikinger.dk. On mac (OSX 10.9.1) the name is displayed as: /demægtigevikinger.dk I can live with that, but FileZilla Client for mac creates duplicates of the folder when I upload and setting "Default remote directory" does not work. My work around is currently to sync to a Windows 7 PC via git and use FileZilla from Windows. I will try to attach a screen shot to the ticket after submission. |

#9559 | FileZilla 3.8.1 incompatible with EMET | high | rejected | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
Background: The Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) is a utility that helps prevent vulnerabilities in software from being successfully exploited. EMET achieves this goal by using security mitigation technologies. These technologies function as special protections and obstacles that an exploit author must defeat to exploit software vulnerabilities. These security mitigation technologies do not guarantee that vulnerabilities cannot be exploited. However, they work to make exploitation as difficult as possible to perform. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2458544 Issue Since upgrading to 3.8.1, FileZilla is being terminated by EMET as it is triggering the "SimExecFlow" mitigation: EMET detected SimExecFlow mitigation and will close the application: filezilla.exe SimExecFlow check failed: Application : C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client\filezilla.exe User Name : asdf Session ID : 1 PID : 0x1198 (4504) TID : 0x2428 (9256) CodeAddress : 0x009D1909 CodeStackPtr : 0x28FDB4 CalledAddress : 0x753F4327 API name : kernel32.VirtualProtect StackPtr : 0x0028FD98 FramePtr : 0x28FDC0 As EMET is used in enterprise environments where it cannot be disabled by users, this issue prevents FileZilla from functioning. In this case I wanted to provide a wxGTK 3.0 fallback because some functionality in the Cocoa inteface isn't working properly yet on Mac. Steps to reproduce: 1: Connect to server using FTP and Type Normal. 2: Open any file for View/Edit. 3: Close file viewer/editor with the file opened in step 2. 4: Now close Filezilla. 5: You will be told by Filezilla that some files are still being edited or need to be uploaded, even though they are no longer open. 6: Click on the Yes button. 7: Now a Error dialog pops up with above error. This never happened in the last version of Filezilla and I always update as soon as I am told Filezilla has been updated. Thanks Paul |

#9141 | Filezilla silently fails to start under OsX 10.9 with default security configuration | normal | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
On a clean install of Mavericks, where the 'Allow apps downloaded from' setting has been left in its default state of 'Mac App Store and identified developers' Filezilla fails to run, with the console output ... 30/12/2013 11:50:04.037 CoreServicesUIAgent[4974]: Saving rejection record: Rejected URL=file:///Applications/FileZilla.app/ App URL=file:///Applications/FileZilla.app/ 30/12/2013 11:50:04.040 com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[273]: ([0x0-0x10e10e].de.filezilla[4972]) Exited: Killed: 9 As I understand it this is the OS killing the Filezilla process due to the default security settings. If the OsX setting is altered to 'Anywhere' Filezilla runs up as expected. The 'Bug' I wanted to report is that for some reason, I assume due to the way the application runs up; there is no display to state why the application didn't run, it just silently fails to start. Other applications trigger an OS pop up stating that the application can't be run due to the current settings, and appear in 'System Preferences >> Security & privacy >> General' with the option to allow them anyway. |

Description |
By using the contron panel (CPANEL) I get to access my host/server and so on with the password I have created by using characters such as @. (at, period) and they are repeated in the password, but it seems that FileZilla doesn't get to connect with the server with a password like that, I got the error connection exceeded the time limit, it wasn't possible to connect to the server. But If I use the browser to access my control pannel I get to access with the same password. So, it is working ok on the server. |

#9647 | File corrupted in passive mode when uploading | normal | rejected | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
The problem is that when I try to upload certain files in passive mode, FileZilla tell if I want to overwrite it (although it wasn't present in the server) and the file is truncated to 1.4KB. I attach the file that fail, "c8.d", and the same file with a byte less that don't fail, "c11.d". I also attach the log of a complete sesion: connect to server, navigate to folder, put file, cancel overwrite question, delete file. The ftp server is vsftp, I can't tell more of it until the server admin get in grace to tell me what version is. A thing that is strange is the other files of more size get uploaded correctly. My system (as said in FileZilla) is: FileZilla Client Version: 3.7.3 Build information:

Operating system:
I also tested with FileZilla_3.9.0-rc3_i586-linux-gnu.tar.bz2 with the same result. |

I installed the latest FileZilla Client 3.9.0.1 yesterday, and every time I open a new directory now the screen goes black for a second, and I get a warning that says the Windows driver had recovered from a problem. If I try to do anything even slightly complex, I get the blue screen of death and have to restart (x3 so far today). Hopefully a patch will come through to correct this issue. Sorry, I wish I knew something more specific to tell you, but please email me if I can help. |

I am Using Windows XP SP3 & my FileZilla Client Version is 3.8.0. Today I opened my Filezilla to access my FTP Site & received an update for version 3.8.1, and I clicked 'Install New Version' The FileZilla got closed abruplty, i lost my FTP Connection and instead it showed a dialog-box saying 'Unsupported operating system Filezilla requires atleast Windows Vista and may not work correctly on your system. Do you really want to continue with the installation?' I pressed 'No', and found that FileZilla was still Closed. I understand that my OS(Windows XP) is not supported by the update, but Filezilla should not close abruptly, irrespective of whether I chose to Update it or not Update it.
