#4736 Windows FileZilla upload to Linux is very slow (<20Kb/s) compared to Window FTP Client Upload (>10Mb/s) normal outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

FileZilla upload to Linux is very slow (<20Kb/s) compared to Window FTP Client Upload (>10Mb/s)

FileZilla version : 3.2.6.1 Settings of FileZilla: default! File of 50Mb takes about 1 hour to upload... (<20Kb/s)

Linux Version : (uname -a) Linux INS-DB-DEV10 2.6.18-8.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jan 26 14:15:14 EST 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The Linux box is located inside our LAN, so fast upload (>10Mb/s) is expected - as is the case using the Windows FTP Client to upload the file to the Linux machine :

ftp ins-db-dev10

Connected to INS-DB-DEV10.ins.w2k. 220 (vsFTPd 2.0.5) User (INS-DB-DEV10.ins.w2k:(none)): progress 331 Please specify the password. #4743 Client program overrides most Windows based programs and will not uninstall high outdated 15 years 10 years
Description

I had an old version of Filezilla (2.1.12?) and used the menu Help/Check For Updates to upgrade :-

1) This downloaded FileZilla_3.2.7-rc3_win32-setup.exe from sourceforge. 2) I uninstalled the old version using the uninstall option in the program folder. 3) I ran the new .exe file to install. 4) Running this new version said that there was a later version to install, so downloaded this. This was a file called FileZilla_3.2.7_win32-setup.exe. 5) Trying to install this however, fails. Running any Filezilla exe file now just starts Filezilla itself. This includes the uninstall program (from the program folder or directly from the file). 6) I now cannot run several programs, as Filezilla client starts in the place of them. An initial list (but not exhaustive) is below :- Run/cmd (DOS command line window) Control panel/Add/remove programs Notepad Windows Media Player Calculator 7) Some programs start alongside Filezilla, eg Firefox. 8) The only program (so far) that runs alone is Microsoft Outlook.

I have a logfile at debug level 3, but it is empty as no processes have been carried out within Filezilla itself.

I notice that a download from filezilla-project.org now downloads from cloudfront.net.

Please, is there a patch for this?

#4752 skip the 3.rd file when uploading a group of files normal outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

last version -as well as the former- when a group of consecutives files to be uploaded in the manager is selected ,filezilla usually skips the 3.d file ( sometimes the following too). The file is uploaded with size 0 (zero) kb. A second uploading is useless because the timedate is the same. I nedd to delete the 0k-file on the server , then a new uploading of the single file is succesful.

I download the a zip datafile every night. The file size increases daily and the file name is DataBaseNameYYYYMMDD.zip.

For some time now the downloaded file ( using different FZ versions ) is exactly double the size of the file on the remote site. When opening the zip file, the files are NOT duplicated.

I am not using Windows server.

Thank you

#4789 file size limited to 131kb normal outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

Hello,

Every time I go to upload pictures to my FTP site using FileZilla, I get the following error message: "The target file already exists. Please choose an action." And it lists the source file with a size of 1,201,025bytes and the target file with a size of 131,072.

(I have a print-screen of this error message for you to see, but I can't figure out how to attach it to this message)

This happens for each and every picture I upload.

Some more information:

I am given a list of "Action" options on the right side of the error message to choose from including overwrite, resume, rename, skip, etc, and no matter what option I select, my files get converted to 131kb and I suppose "corrupted" in the process.

I have tried to switch the transfer type from "auto" to "ascii" to "binary" and none of this seems to correct the problem.

I have used FileZilla in the past and have had no problems uploading pictures before.

I have tried a number of different internet sources to see if it is a restriction on the upload limit, but that doesn't correct the problem.

I am using the latest version of filezilla. In fact, I have tried it with the last two versions since I was prompted to upgrade to the latest one today.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Heather

#4804 Using FileZilla while using my iPhone as a modem (one problem company - others fine) normal outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

There is one web host provider that I cannot upload anything to any of the sites they host while using my iPhone as a modem. I have contacted them and they are baffled by this issue and they too would like to know what the problem/solution may be. I have no problem uploading anywhere else (other sites and web host companies). It is only their clients sites that I cannot upload to.

I CAN upload to these problem sites when I am connected to other Internet providers (e.g. free wireless locations) only not when I am connected to my iPhone.

The error messages I get are: Error: Could not read from socket: ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer Error: Disconnected from server Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

Using my iPhone as a modem I CAN connect to other web host providers, just not this particular company.

Any insight?

#4815 FileZilla dead locks files when upload of a file isn't successful on first attempts normal outdated 15 years 11 years
Description

I am currently using 3G as my internet connection. Unfortunately it is not shaped and consistently fluctuates in speeds. This sometimes causes problems when I am uploading large files in size i.e. The client will try to upload a file from my computer to the server. Because of the file size, the upload attempt will fail. After a few tries the file will become dead locked, which in my opinion is the clients doing as it does not seem to release the file physically after an attempt has failed. It then displays a "critical error: file is in use" and it cannot upload the file after that. This actually happens quite often to me. To fix this I have to close the client and service in task manager. Please can you have a look into it.

#4816 FTP Client File Bug! high outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

For several weeks now I have been experiencing an odd sort of problem. Everytime I use Filezilla to upload website page updates, the page comes up blank. It's is not a problem caused by my hosting provider since I have already been able to upload those pages via their hosted FTP Client.

Example: index.html 23kb 9/11/2009 will upload as index.html 0kb 9/11/2009. This problem is very serious because if I don't check to see if the pages uploaded correctly, then I will have sites with missing pages.

Thank you in advance for taking care of this problem.

#4818 Cannot update automatically - download failed normal outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

Since you've introduced the option of updating FileZilla automatically, I haven't been able to use it. Here's what happens:

  1. I get the message about a new version and click to download it
  2. It starts downloading and just when it looks like the download is completed (the green meter filling the entire download field) there is a pause
  3. I get the message: Failed to download
  4. When I try to execute the downloaded file anyway I get an error message from NSIS: "Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media"

I don't have any similar problems with any other software.

Looking forward to your support -

#4866 FileZilla 3.2.8 crashes on Windows 7 Ultimate RTM normal outdated 15 years 12 years
Description

Just installed FileZilla 3.2.8 Client on an HP 2133 "Mini" running Windows7 Ultimate.

It crashes a couple of seconds after the Welcome splash screen is dismissed and the main interface window loads.

A desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (which was just cleanly installed) does NOT show this problem with the same version of FileZilla Client.

Removing and reinstalling FileZilla Client on the problematic machine makes no difference.

#4884 Bug with Editor using Windows 7 Tech Department normal outdated 15 years 12 years

Hi,

I'm not sure whether or not this is a windows 7 issue but I doubt it.

The program will not allow me to open/edit any files from within the program using dreamweaver CS4 even after setting the file type associations which creates a lot more work for nothing!

Here's the exact error:

The file 'C:\DW\premierparts.ca\acceptDecline.php' cannot be opened: The associated program (WX_DDE#"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Dreamweaver.exe","C:\DW\premierparts.ca\crm\acceptDecline.php"##System#) could not be found. Please check your filetype associations.

#4891 Overwrite rule keeps asking for confirmation high outdated 15 years 7 years
Description

I've set my preferences for up/download to : overwrite if file is newer/filesize is different.

Why then does filezilla, since 3.8, keeps asking me for confirmation/filename change before overwriting? He knows the rule, he knows what i want. Why ask then? Really annoying when transferring a folder with 1K+ items in it.

#4946 more than 1 connection to server blocker outdated 15 years 10 years
Description

If I try to transfer files to or from a server that only accepts one connection to the server i continuously get disconnected and reconnected with the status message 421 I can't accept more than 2 connections as the same user. i think the way this could be fixed is to add a checkbox in the Site manager that disables more than 2 connections. another suggestion: you can make filezilla automatically change the state of the checkbox (permanently, not temporary) to checked when it finds at least two 421 errors per connection.

Also can someone put a move and copy function into filezilla, for working with files on the server side? thanks!

#4955 Uploaded files deleted upon upload to 0 files normal outdated 15 years 11 years
Description

Uploading updates has become a nightmare. Reworked htm files go through the motions of uploading and appear for a moment on the remote server, and then they disappear leaving "0 files" in their place, and no other details of date/ upload as well.

I have tried various options in overwriting to no avail. I delete the blank file on the server and re-do, and fail again. I have had intermittent success.

Meantime I use the server-side software of my web host, but that will only work for HTML, not PDFs/Docs

Description

Drag and drop of two files to the trash (recycle bin) makes Filezilla crash: a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" window pops-up, see the image attached. Filezilla closes once the [OK] button is clicked. Is it possible that the previous Ctrl+X of the files (there is no Ctrl+X in Filezilla...) contributed?

How to reproduce: not sure, happened once. Then I tried to reproduce it and it worked only the third time.

No error messages, it just doesn't allow drag and drop.

#5017 Download stop randomly without any reason low outdated 14 years 10 years
Description

Hi,

Since the 3 last versions (3.3.0.1, 3.3.0 and 3.2.8.1), from time time, when I download from my server (Ubuntu Desktop 8.04) a list of files, the download stops without any error message and without reason. I just do a right click, then uncheck 'Traiter la file d'attente' and then recheck and the download restart until it stops again at a later time, on the same file or not. I was unable to focus a type of file, a file size or something.

I never have this problem with the 3.2.8 and previous versions.

Hello,

I am creating hosts in the Site Manager portion of Filezilla but the port numbers for some sites that do not use the default port 21 are not saving. I am having to connect to some SSL/TLS connections and they require port 990. After I manually put in port 990 in Site Manager for a site that requires an SSL/TLS connection I am able to connect but if I restart Filezilla the port number is lost and it tries to revert back to using port 21.

The verion of Filezilla I am running is 3.3.0.1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

For whatever reason, the time out seems to change after a file is uploaded.

#5134 Toggle processing of queue not holding normal outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

I am running Win <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>XP</font> <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>SP2</font> <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'><font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>Filezilla</font></font> <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>v3</font>.3.1

First of all when clicking the toggle processing of the transfer queue button on the toolbar doesn't stay depressed. Also if I double click on any local file it immediately transfers the file even though the button doesn't indicate that processing is enabled AND there is no check on the Transfer > Process Queue menu item. When there are files being transferred then both button and menu change to show that they are enabled from the disabled state. So what's the point? I would like to halt all processing and set up a transfer queue and once I'm done adding and removing files from the queue, I would like to toggle the processing and let <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'><font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>Filezilla</font></font> do its magic.

I would also like to export/import a queue and I'm assuming that's what the menu items do but unfortunately I can't stop <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'><font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>Filezilla</font></font> from transferring in time to test that.

Also if I manage to quickly hit the toggle button while it's transferring I can stop it, but as soon as I add something else to the queue it start back up on its own without any indication that I want it to.

Thank you for all your hard work. <font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'><font style='color:black; background-color:Yellow;'>Filezilla</font></font> is an amazing utility.

Not sure if the problem is in the "Always use this action" or the "Apply to current queue only", but it's not applying to all files...it's taking them one at a time.

Note that this did not happen in the last version (3.3.0), that I experienced. Only since upgrade to 3.3.1. I couldn't find any other current tickets for this, just some similar that were around 2 years old.

#5195 Intermittent error transferring ASCII file as binary with transfer type set to Auto normal outdated 14 years 10 years
Description

I am running the most recent version of FileZilla: Version 3.3.1. Additional Client info is below (bottom).

I was transferring an ASCII file from my computer (WinXP) to a server (Linux). I noticed the file-size of both files (source and dest) was identical, which seemed odd. So, I verified the settings (below), and I deleted the destination file, and repeated the file transfer with the same outcome. The file-size on the client and the server was 1070 bytes.

Settings->Transfers->Filetypes->Default transfer type: Auto Settings->Transfers->Filetypes->Automatic file type classification: (list of file-types including txt)

Filename: abc.txt File abc.txt: 47 lines File abc.txt: 1070 bytes (DOS)

Then I changed the transfer type setting to BINARY, and I deleted the destination file, and repeated the file transfer. The file was written on the server with an identical file-size (as expected).

Then I changed the transfer type setting to ASCII, and I deleted the destination file, and repeated the file transfer. This time, the file written on the server with a smaller file-size (also, as expected). The file-size on the server was now 1023 bytes.

Finally I changed the transfer type setting back to original setting of Auto, and I deleted the destination file, and repeated the file transfer. This time, the file was written on the server with an smaller file-size (as expected). At this point, everything appeared to be working correctly, but the original failure and failed retry are unexplained.

#5219 bad timestamps handling high outdated 14 years 11 years
Description

Hi

I am working under Windows XP SP3 with filezilla client 3.3.2

I am extensively using the "Folder compare" feature of filezilla client and I am using the option to preserve timestamps when uploading files.

After uploading a file on the box, filezilla client still says that the files are not the same. There is a 1 hour difference in the timestamps.

I am connected to a remote linux box throught its sftp server

The linux box is not on the same timezone as I am.

I don't get this behaviour when I use an other sftp client like winscp so I guess this must be a bug coming from filezilla.

Thanks for looking into this

Philippe

#5227 Ftp upload through websense ftp proxy fails most of the time, opened ticket with websense and they said we shall use cureftp or totalcommander and we tested CureFTP and it worked all the time normal outdated 14 years 11 years
Description

We use a Internet proxy from websense that does http, https, ftp proxying.

We use filezilla for 3 years now for all our ftp upload/downloads over ftp, ftps without any problems. But since we switched from Cisco CE proxy to Websense proxy we cannot upload with certainty. Smaller files pass the system usually without problem, larger files 300 - 500 MB most of the time fail.

I verified that the site we were trying to upload works by connecting directly to the Internet and using filezilla to upload the files and it worked.

We opened a ticket with websense and they told us we shall use CureFTP or TotalCommander to upload. I did the test and with CureFtp all files were all the time uploaded correctly.

The settings we have to use for websense in Filezilla 3.3.1 are:

Connection->FTP->FTP Proxy

Custom

USER %u@%h PASS %p

proxy host: websense.test.com:2121 user: test password: test

We have also tested to disable ftp cache on websense but the same thing happens.

How do we know that the files are not uploaded correctly?

The transfer starts and we know that the target site has a bandwith limiter that does allow 60KBs.

The files are uploaded and when it's almost 100 percent uploaded we are presented with a dialog that says the file is already there and if we want to overwrite it. If you press overwrite the transfer will start again and at the end present you again with the same dialog.

When we called support of the target side they said the files are only around 5 million bytes instead of 13 or 23 million bytes. The target site does not allow size commands nor read of the directory etc.

#5252 Click to rename files high outdated 14 years 9 years
Description

Hello, I am a Filezilla 3.3.2 user on Mac OS X 10.6.2. When I am sending my files to a remote server I click and drag them to the right side of the window and release the mouse button, so far so good.

When I am sending just one file, that's when the mess happens:

All files are unselected, OK? I click in one file and the line get's a blue background. When I click again (and hold) to drag the file to the other side of the screen, the line changes to rename. So far, no damage on my files. If I don't do anything, the cursor stays there, to rename the file, if I click outside, it gets renamed OK.

If I click up there to order for filename, filesize or last modified, the file (for renaming, with a cursor for type waiting) stays in the same place on screen, it doesn't go to the place it was supposed to go, stays in front some random file that was ordered there, if you click outside to stop the renaming... I AM SURE THAT THE FILE THAT IS BEHIND, ON THAT POSITION GETS RENAMED TO THE NAME OF THE FILE I WAS RENAMING, AND THIS FILE (THAT I WAS RENAMING) GETS DELETED FOREVER!

I lose a lot of files for this matter.

You can do this to make sure (I just did).

1) Create 5 files: 1.txt, 2.txt, 3.txt, 4.txt, 5.txt, put them in the same directory, open them and just put a number on the file and save them. Then we get: 1.txt = 1. 2.txt = 2, etc...

2) Now open Filezilla and locate the folder. We get this:

1.txt 2.txt 3.txt 4.txt 5.txt

Now click ONCE on 2.txt to select this file, then click again on 2.txt (the cursor to rename appears).

3) Now click on filename (up there) to reorder by filename DESC. The screen is now like:

5.txt 2.txt (to rename) "4.txt is behind this" 3.txt 2.txt 1.txt

4) Now click outside. The 4.txt file just vanishes and if you open 2.txt, what's inside? 4

Now imagine this with a big web system, a lot of files missing and a lot bad renamed. I think it's a pretty serious bug because I use a lot the "Last modified" column to order, to make sure to send the files that was last modified.

Sorry my bad english, it's not my primary language.

#5256 Double clicking on a item brings up the filename edit box too frequently normal outdated 14 years 10 years
Description

Most of the time when I double click on a file, instead of going into the folder, it will open up the file rename box, which is extremely annoying. This is easily reproducible when I already have one or more items selected. In order to avoid it, I have to make sure I double click the tiny microscopic icon off to the side.

One time, I was fed up with the rename box and tried double clicking again once or twice on a folder, and some how it managed to copy the file name from one folder and rename a subfolder with that name... all through just clicking. That's really bad.

#5271 every file and dir are showing an timestamp before name of it normal outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

Every file and directroy are showing with file timestamp before it. Both timestamp and filename are building a filename into filezilla, and when you are pressing enter to select a directory, the filezilla is sending "timestamp filename" together as show-command. Enstead of usual filename or directory name inside of show command into a ftp-server.

(And therefor an application is useless untill a bug fixed.)

The used client is windows (xp) and server is FTP server (Version 6.4/OpenBSD/Linux-ftpd-0.17) with Debian GNU/Linux installed as default language iso-8859-1.

2010-03-12 13:22:xxx filename or directory name

Another ftp-applications are working as usual. Also filezilla worked well before new installed unix server and new filezilla versions. Also to open ftp-connect to another ftp-own servers are working well.

Thanks, Tuomas

One time they filled in with the appropriate host file size, but were found to fail to display, and on refresh were zero bytes after all. I didn't try non-image file types so they may have had the same problem. I tried this multiple times in multiple sessions and after restarts. I also changed from AUTO to Binary, and turned passive on/off with no change in outcome.

If I leave FileZilla on overnight downloading and uploading files my system runs out of resources until I reboot. Other apps have problems displaying any menus as the resources have been used up and new apps cannot be loaded until system is rebooted.

#5314 drag & drop transfers parent directory instead of selected files normal outdated 14 years 10 years
Description

drag & drop of multiple files and/or directories from the remote file listing to the local active directory sometimes transfers the complete remote parent directory instead of the selected files.

this means that instead of showing the expected "overwrite?"-dialog for existing files in the active local directory, filezilla creates a new subdirectory with the name of the server's parent directory and transfers all of its contents. this is very annoying since it takes 2 or 3 attempts until only the selected files are transferred to the right place and i can use the advantage of comparing file size & date when filezilla asks whether to overwrite or not. additional this means i have to cancel huge queues of files in subdirectories that i did not want to be transferred and delete the already transferred ones from the wrong directory on my harddisk.

apparently filezilla does not recognize the active remote directory after navigating through the remote directory structure. sometimes it helps explicitly selecting another directory first and then the desired one in the remote directory tree before selecting the files for drag&drop transfer.

this issue seems to happen on about 50% of remote->local drag&drop transfers. it never happened when transferring from local to remote.

i noticed this behavior throughout all filezilla-versions in the last year, but never found a bug report. anyone with the same problem?

#5321 Connection timeout uploading large files normal outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

With all 3.3.x series FileZilla, i get a connection timeout at the end of a large file upload. Files have to be >1MB. It is always at the end of the file. It happens with every large file.

With ver 3.2.x, this is not a problem. I downgrade to 3.2.4.1 and it works ok, upgrade to 3.3.2.1 then i get timeouts again. This is why i believe it is a bug.

I only upload to 2 servers. Happened before i reformatted and reloaded Windows as well. Log files are attached.

#5322 After N files transferred through SFTP using FileZilla, the queue slows down normal outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

After N files transferred through sftp using FileZilla, the queue slows down. It happens when I'm transferring one file at a time or 2 files at a time or N files at a time. It usually slows down when the third or fourth file in the queue has finished transferring.

And when it's happening, all I need to do is restart the queue after a few minutes and the speed will go back to normal.

I'm using Buffalo WHR-G125, just in case it has something to do with it.

#5329 Drag & Drop low outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

If i drag a file direct from the FTP Server to the Desktop (not to the desktop in the local list).

FileZilla create a Folder (for example "fz3-12719247126390") and i get a error message "Konnte das Ziel der Drag&Drop-Operation nicht ermitteln. Entweder ist die Shell-Erweiterung nicht ordnungsgemäßt eingerichtet oder Sie haben die Dateien nicht in ein Explorer-Fenster gezogen".

In other folders such Documents i get the same message.

#5364 large files upload fails normal outdated 14 years 10 years
Description

I have no problem with small file upload such as html or images on this server of mine, but when I try to upload a large video file I get a strange behavior. The log attached refers to the file Ali_my_Slum_my_Korogocho.flv which is 105 MB. The upload progress bar reaches 100% in few seconds (!!) then stops there. After some time (30 seconds or so) it gives a file transfer failed or connection time out error. It then retries to upload the file few times but it failes even before the progress bar is displayed. Finally it asks me if I want to overwrite the file alredy present on the server (which is truncated at a size around 1MB). CuteFTP initially does the same with the progress reaching 100% but then it restarts the transfer with the progress at 3/5 % and it starts uploading the file in chunks giving a bunch of "ERROR:> Temporary completion problem reply." but it eventually succeed completing the file.

Here's the log:

#5373 Resuming a upload normal outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

When my internet crashes or something stops my upload, I used to be able to re-drag the file and it would give me a screen with several options. I used to just press resume and it would continue uploading from where it started. However it does not allow this anymore, once the internet has crashed I cannot do anything with the partly uploaded file, I cannot resume or delete it etc. The message states that the file is still in use.

I used to then have to restart the computer for it to release the file so i could delete it or resume the upload, however now that is not even working and I have to rename the file on my desktop and start the upload from scratch.

#5376 Multiple connection errors normal outdated 14 years 11 years
Description

Hello, when I connect to my server and send a lot of files like 5000 or more then about 3/4 of the Q I get the following errors and it will not process any more files.

Response:	421 Too many connections (8) from this IP
Error:	Could not connect to server
Status:	Delaying connection for 5 seconds due to previously failed connection attempt...
Status:	Connecting to 174.132.77.158:21...
Status:	Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response:	421 Too many connections (8) from this IP
Error:	Could not connect to server

So in the File->Site Manager->Transfer Settings Tab I edit "Limit Number of Connections" I set to 6 connections max. Yet when I connect to my server to upload a bunch of files again I get the same exact error with too many connections (8).

This has been a very annoying bug for a long time, which I should have reported earlier but I kind of thought that someone would have run across this by now but I guess not.

#5381 Intermittent massive memory leak when transferring files normal outdated 14 years 12 years
Description

Occasionally when transferring files, FileZilla client uses 100% of the physical memory available (I have 8GiB in the machine, and FileZilla goes up to approx. 92% of that) and the disk starts to thrash, significantly degrading performance.

Nothing is logged during this.

Once the file in the queue finishes, the memory is all released correctly and the operating system eventually recovers.

FileZilla Client version 3.3.2.1, built 2010-03-21 but this problem has been happening for at least the last 6 months in various versions, if not longer.

Seems to be more apparent on larger files (several gigabytes) but this could just be because they take longer to transfer, so the chance of it happening increases. It generally happens suddenly in the middle of an existing transfer.

Unfortunately because it is so sporadic, it is hard to replicate.

#5402 Client crashes ONLY on certain sites/directories normal outdated 14 years 11 years
Description

When going to certain sites (using SFTP), it gets there, BUT when I try to "Drill Down" into the site, it immediately crashes. This only occurs on a couple of the sites on my web server. It did not occur until I upgraded from Fedora 12 -> 13. I initially used the Fedora install of filezilla, and since the crash was occurring, uninstalled it and downloaded/compiled the most recent version from your site. Still happening. Weird thing is, I have WindowsXP installed on this machine in VirtualBox and filezilla works fine there.

#5421 md5sum of files over 2gb changed normal outdated 14 years 10 years
Description

after downloading a file using filezilla (the file was 10gb)and checking the md5sum of the file, the md5sum of the resultant file differed from the md5sum of the original file. whats more the file differed at byte 2147483648, the point the filesize would overflow a signed 32 bit integer. i have re-downloaded the orignal file using ssh on linux (opposed to how it was originally downloaded using filezilla on 32 bit windows server 2003) and the md5sum matches, i transfered it to the windows machine using samba and the md5sum STILL matches, which takes windows out of the equation as the source of the corruption. also being that it occurred AT 2147483648, corruption from download seems unlikely.

Description

Sometimes if I click a folder, I get the message: "Error: Disconnected from server: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing"

Yes, I know you're never gonna fix ECONNABORTED, but there are two problems here:

  1. If I have directory sync on and click a local folder in the directory tree pane, that folder still appears selected but the folder isn't changed. This means I have to click somewhere else, then click back again to load the folder.
  2. If I hit F5 then FileZilla reconnects perfectly fine, so this should just be done automatically.
