Not only is the file not copied to the correct location, when calling this file using ajax, an old version of a completely different PHP file is accessed. If you are using pointers, I would look there. I confirmed this is a FileZilla problem by using a different FTP program (WinSCP) which correctly uploads and calls the file.

• This only works if "Settings" > "Transfers" > "File exists action" is set accordingly
• Still then the "newer" property seems not to be checked correctly, as you can now overwrite again and again without changing the src file. --> Should only be possible once after it was changed!

I suspect fz uses a case-sensitive domain. domain RFC uses case insensitivity for domain. I have been unable to login with fz for about 1 month. hosting company says everything OK. please check RFC and act accordingly. there are multiple domain RFC's and one of them is considered more up-to-date.

#1. I have seeing that some files are not getting transferred to point B from A, but the failure is not written in the filzilla log. There is no mention of the fact the transfer never happened.

#2. Some of the files being transferred are being "renamed" by filzilla. For example, if I have a filed named, audience.jpg. when Filzilla transfer to from a server to a server, it changes the name to Audience.jpg. How do I stop it from doing that?

I am finding that files are not copied from one server to another. I would have never know that files were missing in the transfer if I didn't run setfacl on the files transferred. Setfacl uses a list generated from getfacl on prod as input. This input list is use to compare against what is transferred so permissions can be set.

What doesn't filzilla show me the files/directories that don't get transferred for whatever reason?

All of current technologies that provide File Transfer Protocol re upload whole updated and edited file(s) even if the file changes by a minimum of one byte. This is not sufficient in term of upload time, bandwidth usage and logic. While this can be solved and proposed a solution to the stated scenario. By enabling the FTP client and FTP server to treat only the differences between local files and remote files. Thus for this will amazingly reduce FTP transfer time and speed up the process.

A veces se trabaja con un Servidores de Producción y Desarrollo, y por su contenido similar, se pierde noción de donde se explora. Es muy útil poder establecer preferencias distintas en algunas de las pestañas abiertas (color de fondo, fente, etc...) para una referencia visual más clara del contenido que se está consultando y editando.

I received a message that the server was not a trusted server, I thought I said accept it, but now I connect and the first file just continues to update over and over (see attached file).

I changed my settings to encription plain and transfer setting to just active and it will not connect at all that way.

My server people tell me they can access the site both plain and TSL without problems.

I have several sites, tried one just now and got the message again for that site and replied to always accept the site and that site now works fine.

I am not smart enough to figure out how to tell filezilla that my other sites are OK to access the server as well and I don't get the message any more.

Any help would be really appriceated.

If I edit a local file selecting it from "Local site" pane, when I save the local file, Filezilla shows an alert box with the message "A file previously opened has been changed" and tries to upload it to the remote server.

I have tried to close Filezilla and open it again but the problem continues.

I have used phpDesigner 8.2 and Sublime Text 3.1.1 to edit the file and the result is the same.

After downloading and uploading back the same file - it's content got messed up. I attached file examples after downloading/uploading.

But it's a little bit tricky: 1) Everything works fine on my previous laptop 2) The bug appears on a completely fresh installed OS with latest FileZilla version 3) The bug doesn't appear when I'm using a different FTP client (WinSCP) on the fresh install.

Got new MacBook Pro and installed latest version 3.44.2. Filezilla worked on my older Macbook Air. Getting "fzsftp could not be started" when I try and connect. I have all the same software I had on my old machine so I am not sure why I cannot connect. I have downloaded a few other FTP clients and they all work but Filezilla. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious here but looking at the order of sequence ids send by the client and the order in which the server sends its responses, the listing should end successfully.

My website is still uploading JPEG files from our employees and the website still displays the JPEG files. However, after 1/14/20 FileZilla no longer displays any JPEG files even though I know these files exist on the webserver. When checking for updates in the client, I saw the update failing to connect. I grabbed the connection string from the "Show details" link and pasted it into a browser (Chrome for example). This should generate a standard warning that pops up whenever certificates can't be validated. Looking at the certificate, the cert specified for update.filezilla-project.org seems good; however, it was issued by a private ca for filezilla-project.org with a private IP address of 10.6.92.6. This needs to be issued as a resolvable host (also: use FQDN, not IP).

New cert looks to have been applied around Dec 14.

Bom dia, tudo bem? Estou falando do hospital Graacc sobre um erro acontecendo em uma máquina especifica com a última versão do FileZilla 3.55.1.

Acontece que quando o usuário vai mover o arquivo usando a ferramenta de puxar e arrastar o FileZilla fecha sem nenhuma mensagem de erro, simplesmente crasha. Temos em algumas máquinas a versão anterior e não apresenta erro e nessa em especifico na atualização está fechando. Tentei voltar agora a versão anterior e mesmo assim continua fechando.

Se puderem me alertar sobre algo ficarei muito grato, infelizmente não consigo capturar o erro porque ele não apresenta um, simplesmente fecha.

That's a case for the server support. You need to send a bug report their way.

The line for Minimum TLS Version is clearly in error -- surely this should be "1.2" not "2". Worse, when I make that change and run FileZilla, the number reverts to "2".

Why not give us the option to accept, or reject, these invalid packets? I have FileZilla server running on a Windows 2003 server, that is not exposed to the Internet, which cannot run a newer version of the server. I would hate to have to get something else to do what I used to be able to do with FileZilla client.

I'm not sure whether this bug is reporting directory listing failures on client-local or server directories, but I'm seeing a very abbreviated server directory listing for one of my server directories.

I can see them all fine by logging in to the server via Putty, and I can't see any variation in the permissions that would prevent the listing.

Curiously, of the directory and files that are listed, only one of them actually exists on the server, all the ones from the synchronized client listing (which is accurate) also appear in the server listing (those include the one listed that actually exists on the server), and then there are two listed in the server listing that do not exist on either side.

This seems like a quite serious bug, disabling FileZilla when the bug is triggered. I have no idea what triggers it, not all directory listings seem as incomplete as this one I was trying to access today.

After the upgrade from FileZilla Server 0.9.60 to 1.2.0 my FTP client can not list an existing folder. With old FileZilla Server version it works.

This bug breaks our automation processes. Please fix it.

Recently one of our customers changed his servers and so we wanted to change from FileZilla Server Version 0.9.43 to 1.3.0, but we encountered a tricky behavior, which prevented that.

He uses an old Software on Windows CE and this program transfer's files trough FTP, but we recently found out, that the path in the PUT Command is wrong. They use backslash \ instead of slash /.

Example: PUT 250122033146874.bmp \unterschriften\250122033146874.bmp And here is the tricky part, with Version 0.9.43 it changes the backslash to slash according to the log and so the file transfer works.

But with Version 1.3.0 we get Error 550 Invalid Filename, what's correct because the command itself is wrong.

As we can't change the old software and we didn't found any configuration in the new Version to allow such a behavior, we changed back to Version 0.9.43.

If it's a bug or a new feature I can't decide and I just wanted to let you know of this different behavior.

I have returned to work after the Christmas break and tried to connect to my pre-saved credentials in FileZilla only to be consistently met with the errors of "Connection Timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity" and "Could not connect to the server". The port number being used is 22, and the credentials used are correct in terms of Protocol, Host, Username and Password. I have also updated to the latest version of the FileZilla software.

DLL Hijacking vulnerability is discovered in latest version of FileZilla Client which is 3.63.1 which allows an attacker to gain access, execute arbitrary code via crafted DLL.

we need FTP server with more secured and various user level permissions, we require a below options.

1. SSL certificate should work
2. encrypted transmission
3. Read and write permissions are available in your server, but we need to restrict the user to modify, rename, delete and overwrite the files
4. different parent folder for each users.
5. will it works on Linux - it is not mandatory
6. any limitations for daily uploads / download- clarify.

If the above options are available with FileZilla enterprise, we are okay to purchase it. Do you have the trial version for the enterprise server?

I just wanted to disable an user to login in our FTP server. I've even checked the XML file if the user is set to "disabled". It is, but this configuration seems to be ignored. I've restarted the FTP server and the FileZilla Server service but I see on the interface and in the logs, that the user can still login.

Is that maybe a bug?

The local list view is extremly slow when using a network drive. Switching between directories needs some 1-3 seconds, which is much slower than the remote side via FTP!

I have this problem on a Windows XP SP2 while the network drive is a Linux samba share.

Version FileZilla 2.2.10 (but I remember, it was that slow in many versions before)

I set up an anonymous user which does not require a password to login. The FileZilla FTP server still tells the anonymous user that a password is required, but you can just hit enter and you're in.

I think that if no password is required, then the server should allow the user in without prompting for a password that isn't used.

In addition, the user "anonymous" can be treated specially with a preference that asks the user to enter their email address in place of the password. Other FTP servers do this.

the ascii transfer is not functioning when transfer files .txt in ascii (or automatic) modus. when tranferrring from windows to unix the file remains the same. there is still the crlf. (when i change the connection to ftp it is functioning)

Would like to be able to define the directory path for the logfile(s) rather than defaulting to "Logs" under the install directory. Additionally, define the template for the filename(s). The template substitutions might be as follows:

Windows firewall (on Server 2003) blocks Filezilla server by default. Autorevision of MS FW rules would be ideal, but a pop-up warning on installation that the FW is enabled and might need to be configured for Filezilla server would be acceptable. CHecking to see if the server is actually blocked before popping the warning unnecessarily would be nice.

first, filezilla server is great software! it just needs a little addon which parses the logfiles, then its very nice. :-)

I think it would be interesting to associate sounds with such events as a user connecting to your server, thus allowing you to know whenever someone is accessing your files.

Can you make Serevr Interface remember its window size so that when it is started again it keeps its previous size?

I'd like to see the server be able to send a email notification when a file is uploaded into a specific directory. We use Filezilla to take incoming orders that we print. I'd like our incoming directory to notify the production staff when they come in.

It would be even better if these notifications auto-configured based on the auto-created user directories.

We use the server for "anonymous" uploads of files. When the user opens the upload directory in Internet Explorer, they get an error message that says they don't have permission in that directory. This confuses the average user because they think they don't have permission to upload when, in fact, they only don't have permission to list the directory.

I'd like to be able to toggle that so if they don't have permission to list the directory, but they do have permission to do other things in the directory, they just get an empty directory when they list. It doesn't then give them any permission denied messages.

The one major thing lacking in Filezill Server is logging options. I would like to see things like file size limitations, control of log name, log location, being able to rotate the log out ever hour, day, week, month, ext. This is needed for security badly. Someone was trying to hack my Filezilla Server FTP today and when I tryed to open the log a 106 MB file takes a hell of a long time to load. Giving these options (expesialy to start a new log every hour, day, week, month) whould have helped me a huge amount.

I have activate the Logs function but is very difficult to understand WHO download WHAT and if the download of a file was finished correctly. I think that would be one good option to have the posibility of a specific log for the operations of download/upload, something like: ID, Account, IP, Operation, TransferFile, Time, response.
