#10317 | .DBF file arrives damaged with 3.10.2 | blocker | fixed | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
Since we upgraded to 3.10.2 DBF files arrive damaged. After a few records the content and fields seems shifted somehow. Additional problem is that we can't go back to an earlier version of Filezilla easily as the passwords are now crypted (good thing...) but in the previous version they weren't. See the damage in the picture, from record 81. The original DBF is attached too; you should be able to read it in Excel for example. Dick |

Newest version hangs retrieving directory listing on several servers, but not all. Strangely, godaddy ftp works. Normal access with other FTP programs like Cyberduck, so it's definitely FileZilla problem. Pain in the butt asking for certificate approval every time. What's up with that? This version is awful. Wish I could go back to previous. |

#10376 | Latest Released Version (3.10.*) Bug and Site Manager Entries Not being taken backup by Filezilla during Updation of new version | low | rejected | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
I am also a victim of latest released version of Filezilla FTP Client 3.10.* bug which totally crashed/changed all of my FTP account informations (nearly 100 +) stored in the SiteManager.xml file encoded with base64 secure password mode from normal insecure mode and also changed each/every encryption mode to Use Explicit FTP over if TLS available. I have seen lot of tickets raised by so many users regarding the latest release version bug and response/reply provided by Filezilla Development team for the tickets showing their irresponsibility, inability, incapability and inexperience in handling/ providing a solution for the reported issue. Also trying to escape from the issue without providing a solid/concrete solution. Why wouldn't the process of automated backup of SiteManager file not being included for each and every updation of filezilla FTP client. If it is included or available which keeps avoiding many complications occur after updation and also easiest for the users to revert back to working version using the backup-ed version of sitemanager without spending so much time in research process after updation and waiting to hear an permanent solution from your end which never going to happen. |

#10377 | File Prioritization No Longer Works After Update | normal | worksforme | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
Hi there... We've found Filezilla to be a fantastic tool, but after your recent update, one of your more helpful features, prioritization, no longer works. It appears that once files are uploaded, Filezilla only deals with one server at a time in chronological order. Highest priority files are ignored for ones that were put in the queue first. Thus, we've had a lot of low priority files consuming time and bandwidth. Please address this. It's very challenging to use FZ without this feature working. Thanks. |

Response: 220 Titan FTP Server 10.01.1740 Ready. Command: AUTH TLS Error: Could not connect to server ==> "AUTH TLS" command is killing the login process on some FTP server when using "Quick Connect" on FileZilla. TLS should not be enforced on simple ftp:// login, or you should add a checkbox to activate/deactivate TLS, just next to the "Quickconnect" button. I don't know if this is a bug report or a feature request~ it is certainly a problem for inexperienced users. ==> Login works fine when: a) Using the FileZilla Site Manager and picking the "Only use plain FTP (insecure)" option b) Adding a network location within Windows c) Using Internet Explorer |

#10379 | FileZilla v3.10.3 Unresponsive | low | rejected | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
Since upgrading to v3.10.3 Filezilla has become slower and slower when connecting to my two main servers It connects and then hangs on 'waiting for welcome message' after about 40 seconds it then displays the directory - once connected, switching between the directories is rapid, but as soon as it needs to reconnect (or upload a file) there is that long delay. Both servers are running Centos 5 Linux - I have tried using both normal FTP (unsecured) and FTP with TLS, neither make a difference. The problem was exacerbated in v3.10.3 (the previous v3.10 was not quite as bad), so I have had to uninstall the program and revert to an earlier version Rich FileZilla Client Version: 3.10.3 Build information:

I have to click no then yes once the file i want to send appears. this causes many duplicates files being sent at times. this ONLY happens to files that are edited first. |

When I open Filezilla it opens on the screen of my 17" Macbook Pro in a way that does NOT allow me to use it because the top half of the opened program is stuck ABOVE the top of my display and I can't drag or move it anywhere else on my screen to use it. PLEASE SEE SCREENSHOT. I have tried to open it while using an external monitor and without an external monitor and the problem persists either way. I sent a support ticket (or maybe it was a forum post) quite a long time ago and the problem is still there and even with the latest version. I'm amazed that no one else has reported this since then. I set up the "debug" for 3 like you said but I don't see how I can access that information to give to you. Please fix because I really need to use Filezilla asap. When I retrieve from my server a very large file, in this case 4.42GB, filezilla reads the size wrong, ~260 MB. The download goes succesfully (I guess it doesn't stop until it reaches EOF) but I get the >100% message which is annoying since I dont know if its about to finish/ever going to. Its not a server error becuase my android ftp client reads the size correctly. |

What happened to the timezone file created/uploaded time with the recent FZ version change? I connect to a server on the west coast that is -2 hours from my CST location. I edit/save a file locally (say 8:00pm or 20:00 hours). The uploaded/updated time is reflecting a time of 1:00pm or 13:00 hours? WHY? Repeated a few times in message window. We are using iMacs running 10.7 10.8 running latest Filezilla 3.11.0.1 This began happening in previous version. Generally we have to wait 5-10 minutes or so and after many reconnection/restart attempts we can again upload for a while. Seems to not matter how many or how few people are connected. PERMISSIONS being set As a side note we are now also seeing files we upload all having no read or write permissions. We have to manually reset permissions. Server is a Dedicated Linux server we have been using in this way for a few years without these issues. |

For example, Minecraft stores its files in appdata/remote/.minecraft and yet even with Hidden files enabled, that directory does not appear. Please see the comprehensive screenshot attached. Currently, the workaround is to type the known directory name directly into Local Site directory field. The problem is, you must be able to see the directory names you need to access. |

#10490 | Site Manager List Bug | normal | worksforme | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
We use your software to manage multiple login accounts for many different clients on a regular basis. By default the site dropdown list box expands off-screen beyond the windows frame panel and I cannot easily scroll to view saved connections on the lower portion of the list. Having the dropdown be bound to the windows frame and implementing a nice scrollable option for an extensive catalog of saved connections, would gain much added value for power users such as myself. yes I know you can click on it manually and connect through where you add new connections but let's be real... who does that. Even having the dropdown expand into multiple columns once it reaches a certain amount of list items would give me much more real estate to work with as far as usability. There is a similar suggestion submitted 6 weeks ago (Ticket #10390). Thank you guys so much, I love this product. please consider this enhancement I think so many people commercially could benefit from this. |

I can only transfer 1 file at a time, even if I change the settings for the simultaneous downloads / uploads / transfers. This is at least true, when I have already files waiting in a queue to transfer. (I believe in my previuos Filezilla Version, there was only one setting for simultaneous transfers(?) In that version, this feature worked fine) I use the german version. Here is the information of my FZ-client: FileZilla Client Version: 3.11.0.1 Build information:

#10526 | ability to connect to FTP server depends on IP address | normal | outdated | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
Home network, three computers. Desktop computer with FTP server connected to router via a wired connection. Two laptop computers with Filezilla FTP clients connected to router via wireless connections; one runs Windows XP and an older Filezilla client, while the other runs Windows 7 and has the latest Filezilla client 3.11.0.2. Everything is DHCP. Router dynamically assigned 192.168.0.101 to the desktop machine. Both laptop Filezilla FTP clients have entries in the Site Manager to connect to host 192.168.0.101. Both worked just fine for months and months. Following a recent power outage, router dynamically assigned 192.168.0.100 to the desktop machine with FTP server. Site Manager on the Windows XP machine was updated to point to 192.168.0.100, and it works. Site Manager on the Windows 7 machine was updated to point to 192.168.0.100, but sometimes it works and sometimes it does NOT work. When it does NOT work, the router has assigned the Windows 7 laptop 192.168.0.101 (the previous address of the desktop FTP server). When it does work, the router has assigned the Windows 7 laptop some other IP, such as 192.168.0.103 (the most recent time it worked). When it fails, the messages are "Connecting to 192.168.0.100", "Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity", and "Could not connect to server". The automatic retry yields the same set of errors. Meanwhile, the FTP server on the desktop machine shows no attempt to connect from another machine on the home network. And the Windows XP machine has absolutely no trouble connecting. Speculation: something in Filezilla "remembers" that the FTP server used to be 192.168.0.101 (even though the IP was changed in the Site Manager), so when the router assigns 192.168.0.101 to the Windows 7 laptop, Filezilla tries to connect to "itself" and fails. When the router assigns 192.168.0.103 (or 102, or 104, or 105) to the Windows 7 laptop, everything works just fine. I suppose I could learn how to configure the router so that it forces a particular IP onto a machine and that would get around the problem, but it sure looks like there is a bug in Filezilla. |

#3127 | Paths without leading '/' character won't work in FTP/SFTP | normal | outdated | 17 years | 10 years
Description |
Tested version: Filezilla 3.0.0-beta7, Windows XP Paths without leading '/' character won't work. I'm trying to retrieve a directory listing from a ftp server. I suspect that the listing fails because the path on the server doesn't have the leading '/' character in it. So for example if you would connect to a normal Linux server the path could be "/example-path/", but on this server the correct path is "example-path/". The PWD command returns the correct path (without leading '/') from the server so the problem is not with the return value from server. The problem is that Filezilla doesn't understand the returned path. Every command line client on Windows and Linux I have tested work with this server. So the problem is not with the server, even it does use quite unusual directory structure. The problem is with both FTP and SFTP. I edited the log by replacing information with [SENSORED] tags, even the path it returns. Apologies about this, but I'm working in a company where I don't have permission to reveal any information about the systems we use, not even the paths on the server. But I hope the explanation above will give you enough information about the problem. # FTP LOG Response: 230 User [SENSORED] logged in.
