There are no images or files showing up in either the local or remote host. This happened after updating to the latest version of 3.9.0.5

When I click on the right side of the windows(Remote Website),if the folder name is chinese,then there will be another folder with messy code name,and the origional folder is still be shown in the list.

After first successful connection, i can upload file or files, but the next time I try to upload another file in the directory, it tells me it cannot connect to the server, response 421

This is happening when I try to open a new tab. It overlays the current tabs. Also the tabs are not switchable in this case.

The downloaded package from the The icon New Version available! button does not work!

When installed the following error appears: Unsupported operating system

WTF! I am only running the automatic autoupdater within the application already running in my system! and running the proposed package!

Your automatic updater does not work and does not verify in which system FileZilla client is running before proposing the package to run for the update.

When I drag a file from local site to the remote site it prompts me for action. I select overwrite like I always have. Filezilla shows the upload progression and status. It gets to 100% and the actions window pops up again. If you select overwrite, the whole process starts again. If you hit cancel, it does cancel, but the file is always incomplete and not upload fully.

If on the actions screen I choose "always do this" in addition to the overwrite. Filezilla will just keep going through the process over and over automatically. It will keep doing it with no end.

With some files, overwrite is confirmed but although the date of the file changes, the content does not. Also the file size remains the same.

v 3.9.0.6 run on OSX 10.10

when i "View/Edit" file with same file name, when i upload the last edited file it overwrite the first one.

details :

1. "View/Edit" on a file, (i use Brackets code editor).
2. edit that file, Save, and return back to FileZilla, it will display a message that file have been edited, upload that file.
3. navigate to other directory, find the same file name, "View/Edit" that file like in step 2. return back to fileZilla, upload it.

4 check the file, in my case the first edited file is overwrited by the last edited file. the last edited file is no chages.

Hello. Here is the scenario. In the remote directoy the file that I want to download is being builded (an sql backup) and the size displayed for Filezilla Client is X. then when I note in the SSH terminal that the dump has been finished, I proceed to download with FileZilla client, and the issue here is that Filezilla uses the size of the file detected the last time reviewed, and not the final size (then an incorrect file size is displayed in the progress of the file that is being downloaded).

i am using filezilla with porxy address of bsnl network.it deleting the part of file uploding.

In Ubuntu 14.10 if i connect to an ftp server and start renaming the files suddenly filezilla wont allow me to type anything. This bug dosent exist in Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit.

i use F2 to rename files and this is still possible to use. Also i can click in the name of a file and move the marker and mark text with the mouse, but i cant erase the names or type new text in the names. This happend very shortly after. If i connect to the ftp find a file and mark it for editing/renaming and go over in a browser or folder on my machine suddenly when i come back filezilla kinda freezes.. only thing to do is close filezilla and start it again and this happens everytime.. i cant even have filezilla open for 5 minutes and conencted..

Im running Ubuntu 64 bit and my local network is stable (Using lan cables and have transfer speeds on 100 MB/s (1000 Mbit)

I tried to debug filezilla, but the debug dosent catch anything related to what im doing.. (i will try to get some debug/logging that could be useful, but maby you just need to run Ubuntu 14.10 64 bit and rename files on your ftp.. when i enabled debug/logging it took longer time before it did freeze.

I am using Filezilla version 3.10.0-beta3. Avast free edition anti-virus(latest version 2015.10.0.2208) Windows 8.1 platform(up to date).

I have four websites to maintain. 3 hosted with '123reg' and 1 hosted with 'Compila' No problems with connecting and updating the 3 '123reg' hosted sites.

The last time that I updated the Compila hosted site was 29th November 2014 so would have used version 3.9.0.6 at that time.

I reported the problem to 'support' at Compila and they could find nothing wrong and could access the servers with my website files on.

I have always updated to the latest Filezilla version and in this case have solved my problem by reverting to version 3.9.0.6 - all now works fine. There seems to be a possible bug with version 3.10.0.

Hi, When browsing on my local site in FileZilla, I could not find all of my folders. If I wrote the address to the folder manually then it would work. It turns out, the folders I have changed the Icon for dont appear, and if I remove the icon the appear again.

I just upgraded to the latest filezilla version and it's broken.

When I log on to a server now it errors out trying to list the directory. If I uninstall this version and re-install 3.9.06, it works fine.

Up to this morning I have had no difficulties with Filezilla either when uploading or downloading to a site I have been using for year. This morning I updated Filezilla. Immediately I had a popup notice informing me that the licence to this site was not recognised. The notice allowed me to override this. However, I noticed that the check box allowing me to indicate that this site can be trusted in future had not been enabled.

The site I am trying to connect to is run by Freeola.com, and I was attempting a connection to vip4.freeola.net.

I am concerned that up to noon today I was able to use your software to connect to this site, as I have been doing for several years, and then with the 'improved' update it is now effectively useless to me.

The local file listing takes about a second per item in the folder to show up when I browse "local" VPN folders. Filezilla is the only program that seems to have this problem browsing my VPN drives. When I browse local or LAN folders the speed is normal.

The AIX is a VM on VIOS 2.2.2.1. Works fine with 3.9.0.5.

Repro:

1. Start a big file download.
2. Reboot the server to force the connection to drop. I used a Windows 2012 R2 IIS FTP site and rebooted the entire machine.
3. Observe, that the file transfer starts anew. This is a problem if the file takes a few days to download. A lot of progress is lost.

Note, that the typical dialog asking the user how to resolve a conflict (skip, overwrite, resume, ...) did not appear.

Desired behavior: Ask the user or simply resume the file download.

Should be easy to repro. I have had this problem many times already.

Sometimes, sleeping the client machine at night and resuming it in the morning also causes this issue.

Hi We have a few clients that receive the message "Failed to load SSL libraries" when trying to connect to our FileZilla Server. Our Users are currently running FileZilla 3.10.1.1 and our FileZilla Server version is 0.9.43. We understand that there are newer versions of the FileZilla Server, but since this server is in production we do not want upgrade (which will affect other clients) until we know for sure other that it will address this issue. Other Technical information about this issue is:

We have currently set up the Server to use FTPS on Port 990. The Server Certificate is a FileZilla generated cert using TLS 1.2 On the Server when the connection fails we can see a message in the log: "431 Could not initialize SSL connection"

The clients are set to use: Protocol: FTP- File Transfer Protocal Encryption: Require implicit FTP over TLS Logon Type: Normal

Filezilla on OS X 10.10 crashes after being idle in the background/minimized for long periods of time.

It happens frequently i will be posting debug info on the next crash if possible.

Several times with all version of FZ I have encountered messages saying the source file already exists in an otherwise empty directory I am populating.

Searching the source for duplicates does not produce any. This most usually happens with very large uploads (3000 or more files) The timestamp on the source file is always older than the destination one. My solution has been to set "overwrite if source is newer which leaves the original transfer alone but the problem for me is it often takes hours to do this and sometimes it is next day before I find the message. FZ version 1.10.11 also shows occasional failed transfers :Could not start transfer.

Unable to install Filezilla (tried 3.10.1.1 or 3.9.0.6) on my desktop. Getting ....win32-setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. Help will be appreciated.

Hello, Since a couple of weeks, when I set a "speed limit" to my downloads, they start but about 5 minutes later, they "stop". Actually, the current transfer still appears, nothing apparently changes, but the speed freezes at its last value and the transfer stops in reality. I can stop the queue processing... I mean Filezilla is not "frozen".

I can close and restart Filezilla to get it working again, but with the same problem 5 minutes later. Everything is ok if no speed limit is enabled.

I have upgraded filezilla to 3.10.1.1 and from then i am not able to connect ftp server. Please advise to resolve this issue asap.

Every time I want to copy a file/dir name with "right clic->copy" it "freezes" filezilla just after I do right clic. After that, I can only kill the process using OS task killer.

It only tested it under Ubuntu (any version) and I can confirm that it doesn't happens under Windows. I'm using FileZilla 3.7.3 but the bug has been there for a long time.

When downloading to USB drive in Windows 7, if the drive disconnects for any reason the file download stops and does not restart when the drive reconnects. The file name of the partially downloaded file is moved to the successfully downloaded window instead of the download failed window. This makes you believe you downloaded the entire file successfully but instead you only downloaded part of the file and you have to check each file to make sure you downloaded all of the file.

It used to work correctly in older versions of the client.

If I do, I can't connect to an FTP site. I always time out. So I then have to just reinstall 3.7.3 which works properly.

I am using IPv4 and IPv6 on my internal network, but I don't have IPv6 internet access (yet). By contrast, www.cisco.com currently has 3 addresses: 2a02:26f0:ca:286::90 2a02:26f0:ca:290::90 23.195.11.243

I can connect to that website, because the web browser (IE/Firefox) realises that the IPv6 address is inaccessible and so it uses IPv4 instead. I think that FileZilla should behave the same way for FTP sites.

As a workaround, I typed in the IPv4 address for ftp.cisco.com (72.163.7.54) and then FileZilla connected successfully.

US time change was on 3/8. Ever since then modified dates are an hour off.

Hi, I am facing severe problem in uploading TS files which are in encrypted form but when we upload files to the NAS server the size of the file gets changed while copying to NAS. This is happening with encrypted files only rest of the files remains same.Please assist in solving the issue. After the last update of File Zilla, all of my UserName and Password information is no longer in FileZilla. It looks to have defaulted all of the file transfer information to blank. My three co-workers are also having the same issue for the files that they are trying to send.

After you reenter all of the information it seems to be saving now, but we now need to track down all of the information that is missing.

After I'v udpated Filezilla with the latets version, I recieve a fatal error on all hostings.

Hi, I have Fz 3.10.3 version. When I upload a sub-folder to images folder, the Process Queue is working and the file transfer is completed, but the new sub-folder did not show in the images folder. My hosting server indicated that the uploaded file was present. I notified my hosting service (Inventory Source) to check on it. I do have another website hosted by Bluehost, and the FTP have the same problem. Please help to see why. Thank you. John.

FileZilla sometimes asks for overwriting a self-created zero byte file (with the name of the file to upload), when uploading files to my FTP server. But overwriting and/or uploading fails.

For every file that i edit and say yes to save changes then yes to upload when i try to send the next file it prompts me to send the previous file that i had edited instead of the one that i'm trying to send. I have to click no then yes once the file i want to send appears. this causes many duplicates files being sent at times. this ONLY happens to files that are edited first.

Hello, when I download a folder from the server it always happen that Filezille begin asking me if I want to override the files I am downloading as if they were already on my machine.

I make an example: I download the folder "Wordpress" from my website on my Desktop. Filezilla starts to download it on my Desktop. After a few download it begins asking me: "the file ... already exists, do you want to override it?"...

How can I fix it?

Random instances of uploading using SFTP on a CUSTOM PORT working fine then upon a single or multiple file upload, we receive this message.

We are using iMacs running 10.7 10.8 running latest Filezilla 3.11.0.1 This began happening in previous version.

Generally we have to wait 5-10 minutes or so and after many reconnection/restart attempts we can again upload for a while. Seems to not matter how many or how few people are connected.

PERMISSIONS being set As a side note we are now also seeing files we upload all having no read or write permissions. We have to manually reset permissions. Server is a Dedicated Linux server we have been using in this way for a few years without these issues.

I have the following ftp account on BlueHost

Home network, three computers. Desktop computer with FTP server connected to router via a wired connection. Two laptop computers with Filezilla FTP clients connected to router via wireless connections; one runs Windows XP and an older Filezilla client, while the other runs Windows 7 and has the latest Filezilla client 3.11.0.2. Everything is DHCP.

Router dynamically assigned 192.168.0.101 to the desktop machine. Both laptop Filezilla FTP clients have entries in the Site Manager to connect to host 192.168.0.101. Both worked just fine for months and months.

Following a recent power outage, router dynamically assigned 192.168.0.100 to the desktop machine with FTP server. Site Manager on the Windows XP machine was updated to point to 192.168.0.100, and it works. Site Manager on the Windows 7 machine was updated to point to 192.168.0.100, but sometimes it works and sometimes it does NOT work. When it does NOT work, the router has assigned the Windows 7 laptop 192.168.0.101 (the previous address of the desktop FTP server). When it does work, the router has assigned the Windows 7 laptop some other IP, such as 192.168.0.103 (the most recent time it worked). When it fails, the messages are "Connecting to 192.168.0.100", "Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity", and "Could not connect to server". The automatic retry yields the same set of errors. Meanwhile, the FTP server on the desktop machine shows no attempt to connect from another machine on the home network. And the Windows XP machine has absolutely no trouble connecting.

Speculation: something in Filezilla "remembers" that the FTP server used to be 192.168.0.101 (even though the IP was changed in the Site Manager), so when the router assigns 192.168.0.101 to the Windows 7 laptop, Filezilla tries to connect to "itself" and fails. When the router assigns 192.168.0.103 (or 102, or 104, or 105) to the Windows 7 laptop, everything works just fine.

I suppose I could learn how to configure the router so that it forces a particular IP onto a machine and that would get around the problem, but it sure looks like there is a bug in Filezilla.

I have tested this on multiple FTP sites and have found a four hour time difference is displayed when uploading a file. This has caused issues with customers of ours who utilize this program on their files. Attached is a picture of a file I uploaded with the time it said it was uploaded 4:41 AM and the computer time 8:40 AM. I did not adjust any settings to the application or to my computer.

I am attempted to upload my web files via Filezilla, and the upload stops at the same place every time (with 2929 files left in the queue), and then shortly after (about 90 seconds later) it gets disconnected from the server. Help in this would be super appreciated! Can post files/screen caps if needed. Thank yoU!

I use filezilla 3.11.0.2 to connect to two hosts in my university. I use putty too. Putty connects to both but filezilla can only connect to host 1 and when I want to connect to host 2, it automatically tries to connect host 1. Can you help me?

When you have at least 2 tabs, there is a little cross on the right side of the tab, presumably to close the tab. But when you click on it, it doesn't work. The tab can be right clicked to be closed.

Steps to reproduce : Open two tabs Click the cross to close a tab Expected : the tab closes Bug : nothing happens.

This bug is present in Filezilla client version 3.12.0.2 on GNU/Linux plateform (Archlinux). I can't reproduce it on Mac OS X.

After uploading multiple files, the protocol section of the FileZilla GUI results in a graphics error so that icon disappear. I noticed this error already a view versions ago.

I opened the Sites Manager.

The window is ridiculously tall, as you can see from the screenshot. It even exceeds the height of the screen, though fortunately the buttons are accessible (but what if my screen had been smaller?!?)

What is much worse, the window CANNOT BE RESIZED.

I tried to resize in the standard way as you do in Ubuntu. The resizing cursor does appear when you hover the mouse over the upper borders or corners of the window (the lower ones are outside the screen; note that if you were on mac you could only resize the window from the bottom), but clicking and dragging doesn't resize the window as expected.

This issue has appeared after I upgraded from Ubuntu 14.04 to 15.04 (through 14.10). So this is a regression somewhere between whatever version was distributed with 14.04 and whatever version is distributed with 3.9.0.5

Today we tried to open our FileZilla v3.13.0 from the desk top of windows 10 but it would not open the app, but windows did place the app in the registry as if it was loaded into memory. So we deleted the version 3.13.0 and installed version 3.13.1 but the same results occurred. FileZilla still would not open the Icon from the windows 10 desktop. It was not until we went to reinstall v3.13.1 did the application open after the reinstall finished. But still after closing the app and trying to open it again from the desktop Icon FileZilla still would not open.

Multiple attempts to connect over 24 hours have all failed. The account is not new and the host, username, and password are all unchanged. Updated the version to 3.13.1 in an attempt to resolve the issue. Initial attempts to log in to FZ website for help were unsuccessful. Re-registered with exact same information in order to log in. In sitemanager.xml if the FileZilla3 element has not the version attribute and in FileZilla the site manager gets opened I'm getting the assertion "buildinfo.cpp(118): assert "*version >= '0' && *version <= '9'" failed in ConvertToVersionNumber().".

Upon loss of focus during transfers and regain of focus, the file transfer stats are WILDLY wrong. I only have a 30 megabit LTE link but the transfers are claiming something like 90MB/sec (see attached image).

The remote site directory freezes at certain times. It takes a disconnect and reconnect to function normally again.

Oddly enough, you can drag and drop files from the local site to the remote site and they transfer, but no update occurs on the server site directory listing.

When clicking on a file or directory after connection timeout (disconnect), only the first click is accepted.

I often click on a directory, then realise I meant to click on another directory. FileZilla beeps at me when I do this. It would be preferable if it opened the directory that was last clicked, and just didn't beep.

i reported yesterday with a bug of wxWidget, i tried this version: wxWidgets-WX_3_0_BRANCH and recompile filezilla 3.30.0, it gave me the error

None of the tickets opened previously by other people have been fully answered. Most went unanswered (by the submitter) and got closed. My issue is using the Linux distribution of Filezilla got me the following output when connecting from my computer:

I run Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64 bit. This error occurred on February 23, 2018 and I've been running through possible solutions thus far. Before Feb. 23, I've been using a Mac to connect to the same server without any problems. The server information is (areas with <* *> are sensitive areas and are ommitted):

Host: <*site_domain*>.edu Port: Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS Logon Type: Normal Username: <*user name*> Password: <*password*> Server Type: Default ~Other settings are set to default.

Hi Guys, I start having a weird problem uploading to webdav. It was working before but now when I upload folders it shows that it transfers/transfers is complete and not showing as failed/, but there is no folders nor files in the remote drive. At the same time if i manually make the folder on the remote drive and upload only files into it works just fine. I made a screen video to show you how it acts.

Sometimes mousecursor jumps in local fileexplorer window when try to mark multiple files/folders.

I click for drag and then the cursor jumps (while having markingbox) to the rightdown corner, like his position is set to infinity in mouseMoveEvent.

This doesn't happen if there are allready marked items.

(feels like 2 events compete at mouseevent)

special: I have a 2 monitor setup where my primary monitor is the left one, and the secondary monitor is the right one. On the logical site the left monitor is on the left site (So when I leave my primary(right) monitor on the left site I enter the left monitor).

How to reproduce:

1. Create a local file, for example 'index.html'
2. Create a remote file with the same name
3. Drag the file from the local directory to the remote directory (to copy the file)
4. FileZilla detects that there's already a file called 'index.html'. It will ask what you want. Choose 'Rename' and click OK.
5. A Rename File dialog is opened. The remote path should be [RemoteDir]/[Filename], however, the slash is missing.

The problem occured after the update from 3.34.0. All later versions have problems with memory management, including most recent 3.40.0. The program keeps running in the background and can only be closed to start a new session after Ctrl-Alt-Del and ending the process manualy.

This behavior is always when an connection can not be made or when the transfer is interupted. After that is is not possible to open a new connection without closing the progrma and manualy ending the process in memory.

An other report mentions the same behavoir. That describes this while updating the version. That happens with me also.

I can't connect to all of my servers with FileZilla since today, I have an error "Data connection cannot be established: WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL - Unable to assign the requested address"

Please, could you help me?

I uploaded a bunch of files by dragging them from a Nemo window into Filezilla's server-side tab.

I do this all the time, but this time a window with an assert error message showed up.

I tried the "Continue" button, but the popup would show up again and again, so I eventually chose "Stop", and then FileZilla crashed (unless closing it is what the Stop button does).

I have no idea how to reproduce this systematically. It only happened randomly this one time (and I'm sure it'll happen again in the future, but it certainly doesn't happen often)

I'm attempting to delete a folder with one or more pdf files in it. There are currenlty 7,854 directories in /pdfs. I've done this many times before without issue.

Ex. path. "../pdfs/347555/347555.1588361310.pdf"

The error seems to occur *after* deletion when it attempts to update the directory listing.

Delete and backspace keys do not work for:

Site Manager, Site Name, "Host" "Port" Change the Logon Type to Normal, then "User" has the same issue. "Comments"

These keys work perfectly for other sites, including in this field I am typing right now.

When I first start up the program I get an error message indicating: Couldn't add an image to the image list.

I am using Windows 10 and Filezilla Client version 3.5.10

The new 3.52.2 version is crashing when uploading to dropbox. I never had any problems with 3.51 and have uploaded over 2TB of Data with no problems. The new version randomly crashes at different times. I've also tried reinstalling. Is there any chance you can send me a link to download the older FileZilla Pro 3.51 again until there's a fix?

Bug Description: I'm not seeing files with hebrew charecters in the files, local and remote.

using filezilla to download directories from a openVMS system. The OpenVMS system has a directory named "CON". filezilla creates a directory in windows called "CON" when I ftp the directory but it causes issue since this is an invalid directory name. Explorer wouldn't do anything when I tried to delete the 'CON' directory, cmd.exe gave an 'access is denied' when I would try to remove the directory. Checking security and trying to do anything on the folder that was created would just result in various errors about access denied, unexpected error, undetermined error etc. Researching I found that there certain keywords that are not allowed to be used as directory names and "CON" is one of those. I was able to eventually remove the directory but I had to search around to find a specific rd command to do this as the other options (rd, rmdir, explorer) wouldn't remove the directory.

FileZilla seems to check for updates even if I set the option to "Never" and it pops up "New version available" window at startup which is very annoying when you launch FZ to do something urgently.

Updates that show up even when "Never" is set in the drop down box. I do not need to be reminded for something that I do not need.

When logged into a netware server it is possible to also access other servers in the same tree. This is done with the command CD servername/volumename/directoryname/ etc. etc.

Filezilla removes the first / and sends /servername/volumename/directoryname/ which of course fails. Some way to override the default behaviour so that the other servers can be accessed is required.

When the LIST command is responded to by an FTP server (as the result of getting the list of files in a directory), certian date formats are not parsed correctly:

The end result is the file name is listed in the GUI as:

which make file tranfer impossible.

SSL certifiactes should be displayed to the root signer.

When transmiting a file, if the system time is changed. The transmission rates and elapsed time will be incorrect.

The example in attach file is to set the system time 4 days before, then negative value of the transmission rates is displayed.

Filezilla always adds a '/' in front of the dataset name, which is wrong.

Hi, when a file transfer is happening, if I scroll up in the log, it keeps moving and I can't really read it.

My sugestion is that as soon as the log isn't at the very bottom, scrolling is frozen (though it continues to fill) so I can look back at the log and read entries while the transfer is still proceeding.

When dragging files with long file names (or folders containing them) in 3.0.10 from a ProFTPD host to a Vista client, they are added to the cue, but not copied. (No error note is shown.) It's a problem solely in FileZilla, Vista itself can handle those file names without problems. So the workaround is, if one knows about this bug: rename the files to shorter file names, copy them, rename them back. Outside of FileZilla, because it cannot even rename them back on the Vista client.

Found this error with version: 3.1.0.1 2008-07-24 build Version 3.011.1 2008-07-05 did not have this error. Only happens with TLS explicit connection:

Hello, as the title says not everything in a folder will be uploaded and I tried it several times and this happens since the last five updates of FileZilla, so some content was uploaded and some not and it's impossible for me to explain it why, in the older releases it was possible to upload a full folder with its content but in the newer ones its not possible and I ask why? I've always had the problem described in Ticket #3126 when connecting to ftpperso.free.fr. Contrary to what's written in ticket #3126, the problem is not fixed in recent versions of FileZilla. Worse still, this causes numerous timeouts, and/or disconnections from that server (Which hosts all user home pages of the most popular ISP in France). This is really annoying to have to click the [R] button to reconnect every time.

After the upgrade, the lcient get disconnect every 2-5 minutes (ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer). In the older versions this doesn't happen.

I testest the same Server with a old FileZilla Portable Version (2.2.32) and it works properly.

All clients use PASV and the servers are configured with port-ranges thats are accepted on the servers incomming firewall.

Any Idea whats wrong?

Except for the ECONNABORTED word, it was doing the same on my last version. It's been three months since I am able to access the site to upload files.

Filezilla 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 both has this behavior. When conecting to a secured linux box, in FTPES mode, I can log in, but directory listing fails. Log:

Custom filetype associations are not working.

Filezilla is using the Default filetype associations even though "Use filetype associations if available" has been selected in Settings dialogue box

however when I use the context menu (right button menu) to open a file in the local site: file window of Filezilla, the system default filetype associations are used eg a file of type .txt is opened in Notepad.exe instead of xint.exe. BTW xint does not require any parameters and this feature worked fine on a previous version of filezilla (sorry - can't recall which).
