It is nothing to do with file time on my local computer. It is when I drag and drop a new file to overwrite existing file which has a later date/time. In the past this has always worked. Now sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't the date of the file I am overwriting changes to the same date as the new file, but the content does not change. Also, the file size remains the same as the old file - not the larger file size of the new file.

You just do not provide required details. Do you have a log? What steps are you doing - step by step? Do you use FTP or SFTP?

No reply for more than 28 days.
Can you elaborate? What actually is the problem?
If you change the file time on your local computer, FileZilla only detect this as a change. It does not know whether or not the file still is the same as on the server. So it asks you. You instruct it to download the file again. If the content was not changed, the file still is the same.
