Description
Each time I run Filezilla, the remote tree window is
disabled. I have to click on the button to display it every
time. It would be great if this would come up by default
(both tree windows), and if those button states (window
displayed or not) would be saved so that at next run it
would come up like chosen previously.

I tried again with version 2.2.28. The problem is still there, the window layout is not saved.
The same problem applies to the size of the window. Even if we maximuse it, after the next run of the program, the
window size is again very little.

FileZilla 2 has a layout dialog in the settings. You can instruct FileZilla 2 to store the
last used layout and use at by default, or to use the setup layout instead. Did you check
that dialog already?

I tried your suggestion. Now the right panel tree option is saved using this layout dialog in the settings, and
thanks for that.
However, the window size is still not saved with this option, and this is still something not normal to me.

Are you sure you checked the settings?
In the "Interface settings" page "Miscellaneous" group box, "Remember window size and
position of FileZilla" checkbox... is it ticked?

The initial problem has been solved. The remaining problem is mentioned in another bug
report: #1341470 (filezilla main window maximize state not saved). Please respond there if
this problem still persists. Closing this bug report...
Can you please re-try with latest version of FileZilla 2?
FileZilla 3 beta doesn't yet save the window layouts, so no
need to test it on that version (yet).
