Which version of FileZilla are you using? If your "filetype associations" settings are not empty, can you please attach a screenshot?

Using version 3.7.0.1 How do I check filetype associations? Sorry, pretty novice here.

If you do not know what they are, you most likely do not have them set.
You can find them by using "Edit" then "Settings…" from menubar, and then "Filetype associations" page from the settings dialogue.

No, I do not know what they are, nor have I ever set them, but I have been using Filezilla for about 5 years now, and I have never gone into this area and changed anything, so why did I not have an issue in earlier versions, but now I have to be concerned with this setting?
Anyways, just went to where you have directed me and find the "Inherit system's filetypes associations" box is checked. Again, I have never checked or unchecked this, just relied on whatever the setting was upon installation.
jpg of error message.
