Thank you for the suggestion.
I had thought of that and tried as well (different times on different days) and with earlier versions too.
Just now I once again tested with current version and attached 3 screen-shots.

The issue I found with Sorting is in the Queue. When I have been processing files from the server to the local machine I set up some Priorities... when I went to sort that column to see my prioritization it would not sort. When the Queue is processing the columns won't sort - size, priority, etc.

Can anyone describe where the problem is ?? In my filezilla, the sorting is functioning properly. Please describe the bug in more detail please.

Again... the issue I found with sorting is in the Queue, not the local or server files. Once I copy files to one location or the other I try to change the sort options in the QUEUE... they won't sort. The queue is unsortable, even though the header rows seem clickable, but they don't change the sort method. Its in the bottom section under the "Queued Files Tab" and when files have been queued and are processing.

@mwilday:
Please do not hijack this issue. This issue is about local/remote file list sort broken for the filesize column. If you want the queue to be sortable, please file a separate feature request.
@maanojrakhit:
Do you have the problem on all servers or only on particular ones? Can you name servers where it happens to you, for example ftp.mozilla.org or ftp.kernel.org? I am unable to reproduce the problem. And what are your "filesize format" settings? Maybe that help to reproduce the bug.

About servers:
I have shared server space with two web hosting service providers, one American and the other Indian. One has its servers located in USA and the other in India. I upload my website data regularly to both servers. I have been noticing the same problem while uploading data to both servers. It had been happening for long through several versions of FileZilla. I have again verified this with latest version 3.5.3.
Nature of Problem:
I am not sure why you are not able to reproduce this. When I select a folder from my local server for uploading to remote server, the lower panel of FileZilla shows a list of files. The panel has several columns: Server/Local file, Direction, Remote file, Size, Priority and status. Ability to sort these columns is important to me, particularly the size column. I have tried sorting these columns one by with FileZilla 3.5.3 just now in both modes for Process Queue command (a) Active (b) Inactive. In either situation sorting function does not respond.
About filesize format settings:
Binary prefixes using SI symbols (e.g. 1KB = 1024 bytes).

Hi....I want to work on this issue.....i.e. sorting the queued files in the filezilla interface......
1) Is the queued files is sortable ??
2) Is anybody working on this issue ??

Thanks, please do so, it will be of help if columns become sortable (as explained again in my last reply).
I, personally, do not have the expertise to work on the issue, and I do not know if any one else is working on it as of now.

Okay, so I seem to have misunderstood. The issue really meant to implement sorting the *queue* by any of the columns.

As far as I know, no sorting of the queue is implemented - at least it does not work here. And I do not know whether or not anyone is working on this feature. Feel free to join freenode IRC channel and talk to codesquid about that - see http://filezilla-project.org/contact.php for details.

What is the status of this ticket? The caption and the description still do not match resp. indicate sorting of the queue instead of the file list (the latter has worked fine for ages already).

Could anyone update of the ticket status?
Queue sorting feature is really needed...
You can click the column header to sort by size ascending or descending. Is there some other functionality you are missing?
