Connecting to host

Description
Every time I try to connect to my host to upload files to my database, it always either stops responding or it says "Critical Error: Could not connect to server."
This is really annoying! Please help me!!!

I got in touch with my host and it turned out that there was an issue with the host I was using. It now works.

Wrong username and/or password for that host. Contact your server administrator to recover from lost login credentials or if your credentials have stopped working.
Here is what the thingy at the top says when it does respond but doesn't connect:
