Could not read from transfer socket: ECONNABORTED

After upgrading to the latest verions of FileZilla, 126.96.36.199, previously configured connections now fail, with the following errors:
Error: Could not read from transfer socket: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
This worked as recently as build 188.8.131.52 version.
We connect via servertype 'FTPS-FTP over implicit TLS/SSL', not specifying a port in the connection details.
What has changed in the Filezilla version which no longer allows this connection.
I'll be reverting back to an older release until we're able to resolve this issue.
You have a broken server that does not send the SSL/TLS closure alerts as required by the specifications. You need to upgrade to a better server that does perform an orderly SSL/TLS shutdown.
