Description
Hello! It would be nice to be able to have an option to hide the content of a folder. This way, people could add new files to a folder, but the file would be hidden right away. I would set this separatly from the "read" option. A file folder could have its files "read" and "hidden". Thank you!

I second this request.
While offering unique individual accounts may work for small operations, it does not scale well. An organization using FileZilla Server to allow thousands of clients the option to upload a file at will would need to create thousands of unique users, and directories for each of those users. Conversely, setting up unique users on an as-needed basis when you have thousands of clients presents similar issues.
Never mind the management nightmare that causes. To write interface programs to manage FZS users, and directories for each of them, isn't something just anyone can accomplish.
But FZS is so much easier to manage than say, IIS, so it's hard to justify leaving FZS. But if I get enough push back from the higher-ups, that's what I'll end up doing.

It appears that this isn't going to get implemented. I'm closing this ticket due to its age.
Security by obscurity does not work.
Just give every user an own account, then you don't have to worry about filenames showing.
