Description
When using "SFTP using SSH2" to transfer an ascii text
file to a Unix server the file ends up with M at the end of
every line. It does so even if I set the Transfer Type
to "ASCII" on either the Transfer menu or the default
settings.

AFAIK SFTP can only transfer files in binary mode.
The problem is caused by the different line endings in
Windows and Unix:
Windows uses a CRLF pair, while Unix only uses LF.
Try using a text editor which can save files with Unix line
endings or use a converter.

Yes I can confirm this. Using 2.1.2 on Windows.
