Description
Users should be organized into "global" and "local"
pools. Local pools of users (a "site") would be
considered unique from other local sites by
differentiating based on the ip address.. Global users
would be able to connect to any address and login, as
it is now. In simple language, add ip-based server
support. Right now there is just one pool of users..
I have a need to allow duplicate username connecting to
different IP's on the same machine. For those of you
familiar with it, the way Serv-U handles it is roughly
what I am talking about.

Triage suggestion
This sounds like a great feature request! However, it may not be technically possible because of how FTP works (HTTP can support different servers on the same IP address because of how the protocol works). In addition, there has been no movement on this ticket in 12 years.
I recommend closing this ticket.

Hi Folks, :-)
I am new to SourceForge, but like it so far. FileZilla looks
good too. I am running an old Windows NT4 server with an
old Serv-U FTP Server and multiple IP addresses. It would be
nice if FileZilla Server had the option to have several different
accounts with the same name, but based on different IP
addresses.
For example, say my server hosed ftp.mydomain.com and
ftp.yourdomain.com and we both wanted to have "Guest"
accounts but they would access different directories.
Is there plans for such a thing in the future?
Thanks, :-)
