Description
While uploading a large number of files the Remote Site: says <Not connected to any server> when in fact it is connected.

This is not a bug.
FileZilla uses multiple connections to the FTP server. One command connection, where commands are issued, for example the commands needed to browse the FTP directory structure, create/delete files and directories, etc.
Transfers are handled by separate connections, one per file. If you have a large list of files to transfer, the command connection might get disconnected due to several reasons. FileZilla indicates this by giving the message you stated.
This is not a bug, but by design.
