Description
Please will you create a confirmation screen for local deletions. I have hit the delete key by accident on several occasions and deleted the very files that I wanted to upload!
When you have selected files on the remote site and try to delete them a confirmation is required but no such confirmation is required on the local site - they are gone!
Thanks,
Bill

Hi - thanks for your reply. The default UAC setting is 'Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer'. I have changed this to 'Always notify me' but it makes no difference to the behaviour of Filezilla (which is otherwise a great tool!). I assume I am looking at the wrong Windows setting. Can you suggest which setting I need to change?
Thanks,
Bill

I add my strong second to this feature request. In my case, I use FileZilla for accessing important organizational files. I went to rename a local folder by right clicking the folder name and selecting Rename in the popup menu. However, while moving the mouse pointer down to Rename, I accidentally pressed the mouse button as the cursor crossed the Delete option which appears immediately above Rename. I lost the folder and files it contained.
This feature would be a great addition to what is otherwise a good file system tool. Additionally, it would mesh well with Ticket #2191 even though that ticket focuses on drag and drop functionality.
I did search for ideas and found the forum discussion https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40159&hilit=confirm+file+deletion. However, I have no idea how to add code to all OnDrop handlers (4-27-2016 comment). And I searched online for postings related to Tim Kosse's comment above on local deletion using the Windows Shell subsystem but could not locate anything related to that.
Environment
OS: Windows 10, Version 22H2
FileZilla: 3.65.0
Local deletion is done using the Windows Shell subsystem. Check your Windows settings, they must be set to not ask for confirmation.
