Filezilla FTP Client updates even though Never update is set

Description
I have the Update option in settings set to Never but the programme still updates to newer versions. When this happens, I open the programme, it checks for new versions and downloads it, it then says it needs to be installed.

Note the option is about checking for updates, not displaying known updates.

Sorry for my late reply.
I don't understand - my Options setting is set to "NEVER check for updates" and yet it does check. How can this not be a bug.
It's not doing what it's supposed to do, surely?
