#11056 moreinfo Bug report
FileZilla freezing
Reported by: | Fred | Owned by:

Priority: | normal | Component: | FileZilla Client |

Component version: | Operating system type: | Windows
Operating system version: | Windows 10 X64 |
Description
Since versions 3.22.0, 3.22.1 and 3.22.2.1 the program crashes a few seconds after the program opens. I've tried uninstalling the program completely and reinstalling, restart the computer, clean the windows registry and still the problem persists. If you use any version prior to 3.22.0 the program works normally. If I run the program in administrator mode the program works.

The crashes still, but there is nothing in the CrashDumps directory. I send an screen showing the problem.
If i start the program in admin mode the program works ok.

Please clarify: Does it crash or does it merely freeze? These are very different things.

Sounds similar to #11054.
At this point I would need a dump file with a snapshot of the program state to further diagnose this issue.
Please follow these steps in order:
- Download and extract the Process Explorer tool from https://download.sysinternals.com/files ... plorer.zip
- Start Process Explorer
- Find the frozen filezilla.exe in the process list, right-click it and in the context menu, click Create Dump -> Create Minidump...
- Last but not least, please attach the created file to this ticket.
Afterwards you can delete Process Explorer again.

Please try 3.22.2.2.
If it still crashes, please submit the crash dump created by 3.22.2.2 that has been stored in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps directory.
