Description
The auto-update function on OS X downloads the new version of FileZilla to the user's documents folder, which is not expected behavior. Generally, the user's Downloads folder would be a more appropriate destination, and the first place most people would look.

codesquid: I used the search function and I didn't see anything relevant. I just searched again and realize that this has been a known issue for over three years: https://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/8683
tickets 9581, 9917, 10282 and now this one have been labeled as 'duplicates' and closed, but there doesn't seem to be any progress here. Sorry for trying to help.
