Description
I am not able to connect to a server with v2.2.23a if I
use a password with chars like ÄÖÜ.
Everything was fine before I updatet to v2.2.23a and is
fine if I downgrade to v2.2.23

Fixed in 2.2.24.
In general it's not recommended to use non-ascii characters
on servers not supporting UTF8, charset conversion might not
always work.
