#1065 closed Bug report

Client overwrites existing files with 0 bytes

Reported by: curado Owned by: Alexander Schuch

Description

I had the transfer settings set on Overwrite by
default.

I was downloading several files and folders from a
webserver. I realized I had already transfered one
folder over, so I moved it into a "finished" folder on
the remote server (using remote desktop) without
removing it from the FileZilla client's queue.

When FZ 2.2.22 got to those files, it wrote 0 bytes
over each one (eg. because the client was opening them
for writing, and the server was responding that the
files weren't found?). That is how it appears anyway.

Hello,

This bug is very common on my win2k machine. Anytime I upload a folder, I have to double check and resend any 0 byte files. Another major bug is that anything deleted in filezilla left column (local files) do not go to the recycle bin.

@curado:
FileZilla changed alot since 2.2.22. Can you please try a recent version of FileZilla 3. Are you able to still reproduce the problem?

@calfellows:
Which version of FileZilla are you using? A recent one (FileZilla 3) or FileZilla 2?

Note:
The recycle bin feature has been files as separate feature request already (by calfellows):
