Could not connect to server

Description

Hi,

I am using windows server 2008(64-bit), i have installed filezilla ftp tool 3.5, but i can not connect to my web-server via the tool,

my ftp-login detail are as follow:

host : gtu.ac.in
Uname : -----
pass : ----
server type : FTPES

when i try to connect to the site, following process running on the process-box:

Status: Resolving address of www.gtu.ac.in
Status: Connecting to 202.71.129.26:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...
Status: Resolving address of www.gtu.ac.in
Status: Connecting to 202.71.129.26:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Could not connect to server

  • I can use same tool for other sites.
  • The ftp server allow one connection at a time.
  • I can connect to the same site via the same tool on win-xp(32-bit) on other PC.
  • I have already try to connect the site with firewall(off) and antivirus(inactive) mode.

You are connecting to port 21. Does FTPES run there? Maybe you should try to use "ftpes://www.gtu.ac.in/" in the Quick Connect bar.

Does that work?
