I´m using Filezilla Client 2.2.14b under Windows 2000.

I´ve renamed a file with the same name that another file that already exists. The problem is that the application don´t say anything about the problems that you can get if you rename a file with the same name of another. I try to explain me:

1.- I have a file named index.html 2.- I have a file named indexOLD.html 3.- I change the indexOLD.html to index.html and the application don´t show any message advising if you want to rename the filename or overwrite or something like that.

When Remember size and position of FileZilla is enabled under Edit, Settings, Interface Settings, Miscellaneous settings, and Transfer Queue is enabled under Startup settings, the Transfer Queue window does not remember where it was last set. In fact, regardless of where it was last, the transfer Queue window covers two thirds of the screen covering the local and remote directory listing, which are completely covered if local and remote Treeview is enabled. I have duplicated this problem on 3 different computers.

If you rename a file on the server to another file that already exists in the same directory, then on the server the renamed file overwrites the file that originally had that name (which is fine) but then filezilla shows two files with the same name. For example a directory might contain:

main.php index.php

if you renamed main.php to index.php, index.php will be overwritten by main.php but filezilla shows:

index.php index.php

while it should show:

index.php

This is not a server side issue. Refreshing fixes the problem.

I created a profile for this server with type "VxWorks". the remote directory listing does not appear - no matter if I set a remote startupdir (Standard-Verzeichnis auf Server)

hint: the connection with a simple ftp client works fine. I can do a CD / or CD /RFA/ /RFA/ is the chrooted root directory! there is no way of changing to /RFA (!)

It's great to see the 'Edit' option appear on the right-click menu, as it was with Filezilla v2.

However I am having a problem opening PHP and ASP files on my Vista system. Both of these file types are associated with Textpad on my system, and if I double-click them in Explorer they load up in Textpad. But if I right-click a local file in Filezilla and select Edit, I get errors.

hi.. i want to report a bug, is filezilla cannot open ftp at momupload.com? i'm using filezilla 3.0.6. i can open it using other ftp programs.. but not with filezilla, it's always stuck at the command : LIST and after waiting for several times it got disconnected..

Once an address is attempted, it can not be removed or edit from the Quick Connect drop down list.

Problem:

Download an entire folder from the remote site. Rename the folder locally. Edit a file within the local folder. A message pops up in Filezilla offering to upload it back to the server. But because the folder name has changed, it uploads it to the wrong place.

It seems sometimes the file is uploaded into the root, and sometimes into the first folder that exists on the remote site.

Ideally it should offer to create a folder with the same name on the remote site.

Filezilla 3.0.5.2 is disconnecting even with keep alive enabled. FZ 3.0.7 is not exhibiting this problem. I have had to revert to 3.0.7.

3.0.7 windows locked up with filezilla running for reasons unkown, media file/codec error of some sort. Had to hit the restart button with filezilla running. After that it would complain "could not load filezilla.xml or Que.xml, will run with standard setting now. So i tried reinstalling filezilla, it continued to do this. I had to go to documents and settings/application data and delete the filezilla folder manually. It might be better to just delete the folder with all settings during uninstall due to some type of problem it had.

when bring up Site Manager, I couldn't control the focus using keyboard alone. Hit Alt-O or Alt-D can trigger the OK and Discard buttons. Tab doesn't help moving the focus around. I have to mouse-click inside the site list to get control there first, then I can use the navigation keys to move around.

if you rename a file on ftp site by pressing F2 in remote site file ListView, the ListView is not updated even if the renaming was successful. You have to change directory and go back to see the changes reflected

I just updated to version 3.0.7 from the most recent prevoious release and noticed a minor bug. After renaming a remote file, the remote site directory listing does not refresh. The impression is that the file rename failed - but that is not the case. Pressing F5 to manually refresh the directory shows that the rename did in fact, succeed.

Previous version did not have this bug. After renaming a file, the remote directory listing would automatically refresh to show the new file name.

Windows Vista Filezilla 3.0.7

When running the configuration wizard, the text on the final results page after running the text do not wrap and overflow off the display window.

1. Opened filezilla and prompted me to download and install versoin 3.0.6 which I did
2. Without restarting I opened the client and connected to a server
3. Chose a bunch of files and clicked upload
4. After transferring 246 files out of over 2039 it stopped.
5. Enabled debug mode and showed the following information:

When downloading a text file from an OpenSSH or SSH2 server using the connection type "SFTP using SSH2", line endings become strange binary character(s) (a square, in Windows Notepad).

Downloading the same set test files from various SSH2 and OpenSSH servers using the OpenSSH sftp client does not result in this problem.

I use regularly your application to upload files from DVD's. I took me a while to identify that a read error coming from an external DVD drive connected with firewire, correctly detected by windows if trying to copy the file from the dvd to any place on the disk, would just hang filezilla for a while, and finaly report upload errors without clear information, erroneously leading to think that the uploaded server in misbehaving. I agree we are a little bit out of scope, but maybe this is a lead to a need for a beter information of the user when something is wrong on his side?

The --prefix option for configure seems to be ignored when searching for idna.h, I have most programs installed in a non standard location as I do not have root access so I point prefix to the base location for my installs. This usually works, but not for Filezilla, to work around this I did the following:

I created an sh script and set a variable pointing to where I wished prefix to point to and then used the following: CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I$PREFIX/include" export CPPFLAGS LDFLAGS="-L/lib64 -L/usr/lib64 -L/usr/X11R6/lib64 -L$PREFIX/lib" export LDFLAGS configure --prefix=$PREFIX

This allowed configure to complete. I had tried setting --includedir and --libdir, but neither of these worked.

Can this be fixed so all that needs to be set it the prefix location?

FZ is not doing refreshes on the file listing listboxes, and is hence reporting incorrect file sizes.

F5 corrects this like expected but on transfers file details are not being updated.

I'm using FileZilla v3.0.7.1 from PortableApps and I don't know if this is a bug or just a cofiguration issue but it's worth mentioning it.

The SiteManager looks as the sites were safe, but they aren't. FileZilla saves the site from SiteManager in a configuration file called sitemanager.xml (a plain text file containgin some xml formatted data).

(In previous versions the sites where contained inside the settings.xml) In FileZilla v2.x the passwords for the sites where encrypted with some sort of algorithm, but as I checked the sitemanager.xml file I discovered that the passwords are saved in plain text. Well this is a very huge security issue as gaining access to the xml will reveal the passwords of the server.

Is this how FileZilla works? Are there future plans to secure the sites stored in the sitemanager.xml file?

To recreate this issues use the following steps:

Drag a folder from the "local site" to the "remote site".

The bug is that there is data loss in that the directory tree is destroyed. A directory tree is data, and this is being lost.

I am unable to name ANY other application that destroys data like this. I am computer programmer and I blame Fillezilla for destroying few hundred dollars worth of work.

When I try to connect to a server via sftp using an account withthe £ symbol in the password filezilla reports a connection error - I expect this is due to the encoding of the £ symbol in the password string passed to the server - I am a php developer and have seen many problems with the £ symbol under utf-8 encoding - so maybe this is the issue?

When using putty to connect to the server with exactly the same credentials I can login without a problem, so I'm quite sure it's a problem with filezilla's inbuilt ssh client.

I'd love to use filezilla for all my ftp related work but with this issue it makes it impossible :(

Not sure if this is completely possible or not, but with "scp" I can maintain a file's modification times using "scp -p src_file user@machine:dest_location"

FileZilla has the option to preserve timestamps on download ("File transfer settings") but nothing that I can see about uploads.

After close the Filezilla client the client forget the download list and the failed transfer list as well.

It should be viewable after execute Filezilla again.

I install Filezilla 3.0.7.1 on both Windows Vista and XP. But when I start Filezilla, it reports that "Cannot convert from the charset 'windows-1258'" on 2 OSs.

I am using FileZilla 3.0.7.1 on Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

When I see a file in the local directory listing I can open that file using right mouse click on that file and select Open or Edit from the menu. This does however not work with .htaccess files. The error message:

Opening failed The file 'c:\download\temp\.htaccess' could not be opened: No program has been associated on your system with this file type.

But if I doubleclick a .htaccess file in the Windows Explorer, UltraEdit is opened. Also, the .htaccess file has an UltraEdit icon next to it in the FileZilla local file listing.

When I rename the file to 1.htaccess, I can open and edit the file from FileZilla without any problems.

I like to use Fz to update software on my client machines, but everytime I do that it constantly asks me about what action I want to take.

I always want the new file written over the old.

Filezilla is calculating permissions as 745. Accounting for setgid, total value should be 2755. I understand first octet not necessarily needed, but "4" instead of "5" is causing confusion.

When one deletes a site, the confirmation dialog box come with "Yes" and "No" buttons in french version.

In downloading a 26 MB file from an FTP site the process starts and then terminates with only 2 to 4 MB downloaded. It does not report any problem with the download and implies that the entire download was successful.

Tried this many times but the result was the same.

I immediately tried accessing the FTP site with IE 6 and I sucessfully downloaded the file, hence I don't believe that the site was having a problem.

I also had the same problem about 10 days ago.

Issue:

Upon pressing the refresh button or F5 with an active connection, FileZilla stops responding. This was _not_ occurring in the previous release.

After experiencing the problem once I disabled the Application Layer Gateway Service as mentioned in the notice at startup of FileZilla. However, disabling this service does not seem to fix it.

Using FileZillaPortable 3.0.8.1 downloaded 03/19/08 from PortableApps.com on a Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7438 running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit OS. Firewall is part of Windows Live One Care. Internet connection is Qwest DSL through an ethernet hub and ActionTec DSL modem/gateway.

In the Edit/settings dialog connection section is a configuration wizard. I ran it multiple times with the same failure each time. I chose passive transfer mode with allow fallback selected. I next selected to use the servers external IP address. On the next page I first chose to ask the operating system for the external IP address, then during test faze I got the following log: Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.org Response: 220 FZ router and firewall tester ready USER FileZilla Response: 331 Give any password. PASS 3.0.8.1 Response: 230 logged on. Checking for correct external IP address IP 192.168.0.5 bjc-bgi-a-f Response: 510 Mismatch. I then restarted the wizard and chose to use the reported IP address of 63.224.228.18 and selected "ask operating system for a port". The final wizard page advised me that the server sent an unrecognized reply and asked me to check for latest version (using 3.0.8.1)and submit a bug report. This is it ;)

Is this a problem with my firewall not allowing the port connection? I also tried selecting to use port range 6000 - 7000 (default sugestion), and configured the firewall to allow incoming tcp/udp protocols in that port range for FileZilla. This returned the following end message: LIST Response: 150 opening data connection Connection closed

In every case there was a long pause after the "Response: 150 opening data connection" line, then failure!

The above log copies came directly from the wizard as the FileZilla client was not actively doing anything to create a message list. (I set degugging to verbose level but did not see any output)

I have loved FileZilla in the past and would really like to use it more if we can get it communicating.

Could this be a bug caused by the PortableApps modification maybe? Unlikely I'd guess, but you guys are the experts not me :)

I am using 3.0.8.1 nightly build. After a minut or so i am getting a "421 Timeout" message, which logs my off. The setting 0 - 9999 doesn't seem to work.

OS : Windows Vista Premium Family Edition 32bit FileZilla Client v.3.0.8.1 but bug also in older versions. Bug not present in the first version I use 3 years ago on windows XP. -- When client connected to the FTP, impossible to send/download files. The error message on the console is "530 sorry account already used, connexion to server impossible"

I have to add the files I want to send/download to the transfer list, then disconnect from the FTP, and process the transfer list.

I dont know if it's a problem from my internet provider (orange, france) or from the software.

I'm using a colour scheme with dark background, which makes black text used in the FileZilla's interface almost invisible. The problem appears in the transfer log and in the uploads list. The tabs at the bottom also mix system colors with white, which makes them quite ugly.

The problem happens both on Windows and Linux, in FileZilla 3.0.8.1.

I tried to transfer a openoffice.org file (.sxw) while it is still opened in OO.org. The transfer fails because filezilla keeps asking me what I want to do (overwrite, ..., skip). If I close OO.org the file transfers just fine. I am not sure if this is a bug for filezilla or oo.org. I can reproduce this every time. I use filezilla 2.2.14a and windows 2000 and OpenOffice.org 1.1.4.

Filezilla 2.2.14b: Windows xp x64 Downloadside ftp.flightgear.org I was downloading the hole (world) scenery (version 0.98). But the client stop downloading at the end of big files and shows: timeout, connection failed and does not restart the transfer.

I had the transfer settings set on Overwrite by default.

I was downloading several files and folders from a webserver. I realized I had already transfered one folder over, so I moved it into a "finished" folder on the remote server (using remote desktop) without removing it from the FileZilla client's queue.

When FZ 2.2.22 got to those files, it wrote 0 bytes over each one (eg. because the client was opening them for writing, and the server was responding that the files weren't found?). That is how it appears anyway.

The window showing the file list has the file size cut off mod 4GB. This is because UpdateFile in src/engine/directorycache.[h,cpp] uses an int for the file size. Should use wxLongLong or wxFileOffset.

In Filezilla 2 a to a filename in the remote site was automatically shown with the file showing the new filename as happens in any windows explorer environment.

In Filezilla 3 the filename remains the same after renaming it, requiring a manual refresh. Would it be possible have the filename update automatically again after a rename?

Immediately after installing 3.0.8 I resumed work and on my next attempt to use F5 for refresh the interface never returned to me. Killed app. Tried again. Same. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

When I upload an opened file (for example one Word Doc which is still open in MS Word editor) Filezilla can not finish operation asking me to overwrite existing file on server although is not existing on remote server and than after 5-10 sec hangs giving message that were to many tries. (I have version 2.2.9)

when uploading a file filezilla sometimes reports "transmission errors" like transmission error #1, #2 ans so on. (maybe its called a a bit different i use german translation) however, it uploads the file but when done the file _does not_ contain the data it should. i mean it contains mostly correct data but when uploading an exe file and downloading it again it wasnt executable anymore and comparing it to the original file with a hex editor shows some small differences...

hum i see it even has different sizes, the uploaded file is even bigger then the file on my disk...

When I was downloading my website to my computer, Filezilla deleted one of the subfolders I was downloading. Part of the subfolder still showed in the queue to download, but most did not. And when I tried to download that part of the subfolder, it didn't work.

I ended up having to restore that folder from my backups.

When trying to abort an upload or download which is paused, nothing happens, after resuming the download/upload, aborting is possible again.

Looks like a small problem to me

During the file transfer a part of a file gets currupted which results in having a server plugin broken.

In the attached documents (orignal and changed file) the lines (original) 1950-2023 will be removed. In addition, line 1949 (01521;;Teleport) will replaced with (01521;;TelePORT 82,83,17,203,128,62 to). Altough some parts were deleted the file sizes are both the same.

I try with menu option checked or not. Same thing, all the time the file I uploaded on server take the time of the transfer and doesn't keep origin time.

I use fileZilla 3.0.8.1, in french winth XP SP2.

i am using the latest FileZila Version 3.8.1. This Version still has problems deleting subfolders those parent folders names contains german umlauts.

For example create the following folders:

Grün

• test

It is not possible to delete both folders at once (recursive). The folders still exist after deleting.

Hi, i was using Filezilla to download a site from a ftp server. the site had about 3200 files. when i downloaded the site it only contained about 2300 files i.e. about 900 files were missing. that is about 30% of the total files. please fix this bug otherwise it will be impossible for me to continue using Filezilla because of its extreme unreliability

The installer requires acceptance of the GPL. This is incorrect, since end users do not have to accept the GPL. The GPL is not an 'end user license'. It even says so in the GPL itself:

" 5. You are not required to accept this License, since you have not signed it. However, nothing else grants you permission to modify or distribute the Program or its derivative works"

If the user 'does not accept the GPL' of an application, then that just means they can't distribute it. It does not prevent them from using the application.

To fix this, the EULA agree/box should be removed from the installer.

Getting a malformed packet issue when using your newest client v3.0.8.1 to connect to the new Ipswitch WS_FTP Server 6.1 using SSH. Regular FTP and SSL work fine. See attached logs

When installing V3 Portable, it mentions that an "OLD" directory is where I'd find my V2 settings in "FileZillaPortable\Data\settings\old\FileZilla2.xml". This did not exist and apears to have been completly overwritten. Should V3 recognized an existing install?

If you try to select the Documents directory or any other directory belonging to the current user, Vista returns this error message: Can not enumerate file in directory '<dir name>' (error 5: denied access)

Right-Click on a directory, choose "Delete" from menu. Directory gets deleted, but it does stay in the directory list. Trying to access it gives Message Box "'directory' does not exist or cannot be accessed."

The Refresh button (or F5) doesn't refresh the directory list either. It stays in the list until FileZilla is restarted.

Maybe it's not a bug, and you design FileZilla like that for performance.

Firstly, I went into a folder "/testfolder", there was only 1 file "a.txt". Then I go back into the root folder "/". After some minutes, someone uploaded a file "b.txt" into the folder "/testfolder", and now there were 2 files(a.txt and b.txt) in "/testfolder".

Secondly, I downloaded the folder "/testfolder" by dragging it to my local disk. FileZilla downloaded "a.txt" only. Because FileZilla didn't execute "LIST" before download, it didn't known "b.txt" existed now.

There is a subtle bug in CControlSocket::ParsePwdReply():

The variables “pos1” and “pos2” are overridden within the inner “if” block so, after it completes its execution, the assigned values get lost and the original variables remain unchanged.

The fix is straightforward: simply remove the “int” keyword in the assignment of “pos1” and “pos2” within the “if” block.

When I drag a file from the local site window to a Windows explorer window, the copy starts as expected. However, until the copy is finished, it is not possible to return to Filezilla because when I click to the Filezilla window bar, a cross (+) appears telling the drag will start on this part. This is also true on any part of the Filezilla interface.

When a file cannot be deleted, the messagelog panel displays the error result, but not the usual red error message.

The 1st line is in blue, the 2nd line is in green, but a 3rd was expected here telling that the command has failed.

When I try to upload a file, the transfer fails no matter what. I don't know why. Maybe it's a error in the code.

Filezilla stops sending keep-alive commands after 30 minutes.

Sorry, couldn't find any logfiles even with logging enabled in preferences.

During the upload-proces the name of two images were switched. Image1 was renamed to Image2 and the otherway around.

Filezilla-Client: 3.0.9.2: PASV-Mode On long-term single-file Data-Connections for up/download, the Command-Connection may time-out. Thats OK. The Bug is: This brings down the actual PUT of a really huge file. But in the case of a running upload/download there is no need for a open command-connection, FileZilla should detect the time-out and show it on screen, but dont bring down actual up/downloads!

On z/OS system (FTP server: FTPD1 IBM FTP CS V1R7) when trying to list members (files in PC systems) in a library (directory in PC systems), FileZilla3 executes a command:

CWD 'PREFIX.ISPF.ISPPROF.' (unnecessary period at the end of string)

instead of: CWD 'PREFIX.ISPF.ISPPROF'

In FileZilla2 there was no such problem.

When I start filezilla (3.0.9.1), I click on the file menu. Just after I click, the new version popup appear. fileZilla hanged. Can't click or close the file menu, and same thing for the new version popup.

the text boxes for setting upload/download limits don´t have a max length specified and it is possible to enter non-numeric values.

When I set a limit to 9999999999 I get an error message that I should use a value > 0.

A useful feature in FileZilla (version 3.0.9.2) is the option to change the language.

1. From the menu bar select: Edit > Settings…
2. Select the desired language from the list in the Language page.

However, when Hungarian is selected from English (or vis versa), only the Menu Bar changes, not the Message log, Local directory tree, Remote directory tree and Transfer queue. These are only changed upon closing and reopening of the program.

It would be appreciated if the program would refresh all windows and frames with the selected language, without needing to exit and reopen the program.

trying to delete local directories (not empty) with right-click-dir -> Delete -> Yes simply fails with no messages or other obvious activity.

There is summary of test results. The problem is that text is not wrapped to another line and I cannot see complete text. I've attached a file. It shows everything. The same problem I've noticed in previous 3.x versions of filezilla client.

Version 3.0.9.2 Windows XP SP2

Connected to a buddies FTP server to download a couple of .rar files. One file was 85MB and the other was 76MB. Everything looked fine until the file reached the expected size. At that point, the time remaining stayed at 0 and the file continued to download. It kept downloading and around the point where it was approximately 150MB, I copied the file to another folder to attempt to open it. I opened it, and the contents looked fine. It continued to download until it was 156MB and then produced the following error: The data is invalid. Error: Critical error

Same exact thing with the second file (except that one went until 145MB).

I extracted the file one more time after the download completed and again, the contents seemed fine, just the file itself was about twice as big as it was supposed to be.

Firefox loads it up fine (that's where the above url came from), so I guess Filezilla doesn't see filenames with accents.

I know there are 24 hours in a day, but since there is no days counter, could you please fix the number of hours so it displays as a number from 00 to 99?

I have had 48 hours or more pass and it shows as 08. what bugs me more is that it says 02 left. I don't know for sure how much longer it's really going to take!

To reproduce:

• Make sure you have multiple upload threads (I used 5)
• Drag and drop a directory filled with more than 5 files to a remote host (mine is SFTP)
• mkdir will be run on each thread and fail except for the first time (because the directory already exists)

This does not affect the end result (files still get uploaded) but it is a small inefficiency.

This is purely cosmetic.

In Site Manager, Parent folder icons do not refresh to 'empty' after deleting all child folders, unless the site manager is closed and re-opened.

I'd like to report a bug in Filezilla 2.2.17. The following is happening:

When you upload a number of files to an FTP server that already exist on the server and select "overwrite if newer" and "use this choice for all files" when prompted, any file that does not get uploaded completely (due to a transfer error) will not be uploaded again.

I assume that this is due to the choice of "overwrite if newer" - my suspicion is that when Filezilla tries to upload the file a second time, it checks the timestamp of the (partial) file on the server, discovers that it's more recent than the local timestamp, and then does not upload the file again. This is incorrect behaviour, of course: if a file is uploaded a second time after a transfer error, the timestamp should not be checked again.

The GUI shows the active mode been set with the correct external IP address but still teh server replies with the internal ip address (LAN IP) of the client and says cannot establish connection. On checking through a Packet Sniffer it can be seen that filezilla is actually sending the LAN IP altough in the console/log/gui it shows its sending the external IP.

Issue with 3.0.9.2 and also with 3.0.9.3 - nightly build

Every time I open FileZilla (Version 3.0.9.3) there's a message that it wasn't possible to save the settings made during the last session. By opening the program every time there's the welcome-message again. The host-information like adress and password is still there but settings like design, the last opened server-side folders aso are missing. I uninstalled FZ, rebooted and installed it again but the problem remains. It wasn't there in the previous version of FZ (3.0.9.2).

I use Windows XP MCE. The FileZilla version installed is 3.0.9.3 (I attached the about-box below).

Just upgraded to the latest version, result is that I can no longer log on to the ftp site where my son stores his photos (​ftp://lachmann.storagesolutions.com/)

Downgraded to 3.0.9.2 and it works again, tried another upgrade to 3.0.9.3 and that again fails miserably.

System XP Pro, SP2, AMD Athlon 64 3700+, 1 GB.

Maximum amount of current connections

My HDD receiver allows only one ftp connection. Even if I set it to 1 simultaneous connection in FileZilla Setup it did not work.

FileZilla shows alwas the current directory content. Maybe this is also one connection ...

(it works with other FTP clients ... So I guess it is a problem with FileZilla)

The Progress bar shows an incorrect status while downloading Files. The Downloaded Data Counter also excedes the File Size in the process. Please See the attached screenshot!

If you type a textual address into the host box in either the quick connect or the manager, the program fails with the message:

Could not parse server address: Invalid port given. The port has to be a value from 1 to 65535

This same message occurs regardless of what port number is used.

There is no reason, that i am aware of, why the textual host value should not work (it works in all browsers and other ftp clients). If text is not supported, it should mention that and ignore the port number, (which was correct) until a numerical value for the host is entered.

But filezilla shocked me today. I installed it a few month ago on my usb flashdrive in the u3 environment (I used it before on my harddisks for month ;) ).

It worked fine nearly 3 month, but today filezilla deleted all passwords out of the xml file.

On the client i used, filezilla was additionally installed in secure mode (Reg Keys exist).

But the filezilla on my flashdrive wasn't installed in secure mode...

why filezilla doesn't asked before deleting all the passwords out of the xml file, after starting it from the u3 launchapd?

If you remove the hook in the menu "Queue"->"Use multiple connections" and enter the settings menu after it "Edit"->"Settings..."->"File transfere settings" the hook at "Use multiple connections to transfere files" is still there. If you click "ok" now, the hook in the menu will also be there again and the programm will use 2 connections again.

The Site Manager drop down menu in the main window doesn't function in the same way as the other menus and Windows XP in general.

I ran across an FTP server that responds in a way that FileZilla doesn't expect when MKDIR finds a directory that already exists. The response is:
