In the quick search field, I enter some file name, for example default.jpg, this file is filtered out. After that, I close the quick search. After that I filter by name again default.jpg and nothing is filtered out in the filter anymore. If you delete one character at the end of the name, for example default.jp then the filtering will be successful again. Etc.

Unfortunatelly, due to the abruptly interruption it's hard to me to precise if some particular characteristic of the file being downloaded triggers the issue. Nevertheless, it doesn't seem to be file-size related, as I've succeeded downloading other large files, but I would suspect to have some connnection when a folder subtree contains thousands of files. Or yet I would wonder if some very long paths could be the cause? I have experienced the issue repeated times with different parts/subtrees of my OneDrive target connection.

I am trying to install FileZilla Pro on a newer computer. I'm logged into a linux server (CentOS 7). I right-click in a folder/directory and click "create new file". I name it "test.json". I open the file with notepad++ and the line breaks are CRLF. This causes the file to not work with the linux OS that it's hosted on. I have to manually change the line breaks with notepad++.

I also tried creating the test.json on my PC and then uploading it to the linux server and it does not convert the line breaks even though I read elsewhere that it does.

I switched between "default transfer type auto/binary" and "treat files without extension as ASCII" but neither one seemed to have an impact.

Hi, so I use FileZilla Pro, for a few years actually, and today when I opened the program and hit ctrl + s for the Site Manager I get basically a clear screen/dashboard.

Haven't seen this before, in fact, I've not ever had an issue with FileZilla Pro, that's why I use it.

See the screen shot for the Dash interface that isn't.

A fix or solution is required please.

The file is processing a queue for OneDrive and closes. When the application is processing a list of files, including images, documents, psd/psb files, the application closes. Files range in size from small to 1GB files. Suddenly it closes for no reason.

In the Site Manager, if I create a site, set the protocol and credentials, and then create another site, only the last one created is saved after clicking OK and exiting the Site Manager

Each time I close FileZilla, I get a pop-up window titled: Error saving queue - with the following text

That settings directory does not appear to exist on my computer.

This error started some versions ago in 2023. This popup window has to be manually closed each time I open or attempt to close. If I try to reboot my mac while FileZilla is running this popup will halt the restart process.

I was running a 2018 Mac Mini (with intel processor), with previous Mac OS, when this error started.

I am now running a Mac Studio (with Apple silicon) on OS Sonoma v 14.1.2

This error occurs if I run FileZilla from the downloads folder (where the FileZilla downloader puts it or after I manually move it to the top level applications folder.

When i upload files I got the message that files are uploaded but the server still have the old files. Please fix it.

I have a user that experiencing issues with FileZilla. The client is unable to view Excel documents that are stored on the local machine. I have uninstalled the software and removed any traces of the program then reinstalled.

This didn't fix the issue as the problem is still. Windows updates are all installed. The issue started Friday- 12 Jan 2024

I had Filezilla on my laptop and all programmes were moved to my new laptop. I hadn't used Filezilla recently so I thought I would remove the old version and upload a newer one. However, when I open it this message appears: An error loading the transfer queue from "C:\User\patri\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\queue.sqlite3"

I do not understand what this means as I have nothing in my queue and this appeared from the first moment I opened the programme.

Also when I try to delete the app/programme the message comes up that I must open the App in Administrator as its is registered to all users? As my machine is set to Administrator already I do not understand why I cannot remove the programme. ALso I am the only person to use this system so I am totally at a loss in how to remove the programme and the Community has proven to be no use whatsoever. Can you please advise. I recently set up SSH access to my web servers on my Mac by following GitHub's documentation for Generating a new SSH key and adding it to the ssh-agent. After that, I installed FileZilla and the connections to my servers worked correctly. However, today I restarted my Mac, and tried to connect via SSH using the terminal, it asked me for the passphrase of my private key. I entered it and could connect. However, I still couldn't connect to my servers via SFTP on FileZilla. I tried running eval "$(ssh-agent -s)" and ssh-add --apple-use-keychain ~/.ssh/id_ed25519, but this did not help. I am either getting in FileZilla:

FATAL ERROR: No supported authentication methods available (server sent: publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic) Error: Could not connect to server or

Status: Using username "root". Status: Access denied Error: Authentication failed. Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server depending on which server I try to connect to.

If I make use of FileZilla's key import, converting the key file to a supported format (.ppk extension), and manually entering the passhprase in the prompt, the connections succeeds.

Why did FileZilla stop making use of the ssh-keygen (which is used fine through the terminal when using the SSH and SFTP protocols)?

Debug log excerpt:

I've tried using both Normal and Interactive mode, and both don't work anymore, but they used to work before the system restart. I also tried restarting my system again and this didn't help.

Removing FileZila preferences, removing the app and reinstalling it did not help.

Edit 1:

I've found that the actual reason for FileZilla failing to use the keys loaded in ssh-agent is that FileZilla starts its own ssh-agent process with its own socket instead of using the default one where the keys are loaded. The default socket location is in a temporary directory /var/folders/sm/4bt9kz951dg4s5kq1jwy57tc0000gn/Tssh-nWola5Puaw6o/agent.2855, and when I try to use SFTP via FileZilla, it creates its own at /private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.YiC62e7kHT/Listeners.

I use ohmyzsh with a couple common plugins. I found out I had the ssh-agent plugin enabled.

With the ssh-plugin plugin disabled, when I boot/restart my system, an ssh-agent doesn't get started on boot (I think it's like that by default; the ssh-agent plugin didn't change this, it was only responsible for automatically starting an ssh-agent when I open my terminal). Then I open my terminal. Then when I run the ssh command to ssh into a server, automatically an ssh-agent gets started and my private key gets imported without asking for a passphrase.

By default, there is an environment variable $SSH_AUTH_SOCK set to a temp folder location and $SSH_AGENT_PID is empty. The ssh-plugin was starting a new ssh-agent instance and overwriting the $SSH_AUTH_SOCK variable to its own socket, and this way shadowing the existing ssh-agent instance (which FileZilla uses) that used the default socket location (if there is one running), and this led to two different ssh-agent instances running at the same time and listening on different sockets.

When connecting to an Azure SFTP site, the file size is displayed wrong, showing only 28 bytes. However, in the column for owner/group, there's a 0 (a space) followed by what the true file size is.

If you proceed to download the file, the percent progress bar goes immediately to 100%, but it will sit there and download the full file size, shown in the wrong column.

I tried this on 2 different computers, a laptop running windows 10, and on a server running Server 2019.

This option is available in WS_FTP LE 6.0, but the program stopped working when Windows 10 was installed. I could find no other FTP program that had this option, so I have been using FileZilla for pages created after that. For years I created HTML pages with the EVE/TPU editor on a VAX. But VAX computers are capable of creating only UPPERCASE filenames. I had to stop updating my 1,200+ UPPERCASE HTML page files because I could no longer upload them to my lowercase-based Linux server. I hope you can add this option someday. Thank you.

The assistant uses "C:\users\%username%\Documents" as the default save xml location.

Thats wrong. The folder can be redirected. You should always read the Personal registry Value from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Or use the SHGetFolderPath or SHGetKnownFolderPath function instead

When I click on one of my bookmarks, FZ correctly logs into and displays the local folder but it does NOT log into or display the folder on the server. I've been using FZ and booksmarks for a long time, and this simple function has always worked flawlessly.

This morning I ran updates and used the new Filezilla version 3.66.5 for the first time. Editing a remote configuration file on one of my servers, after I saved the file and responded to the upload dialog, filezilla crashed and the window closed.

When I went to the server directory to edit the file in the shell, I found that the file was set to a size of 0 bytes, so the contents were totally lost. I was able to retrieve the file from a backup made last night, but otherwise this would have been a difficult loss to overcome.

Is it possible to add a synch between two directories without any time stamp? To explain, I have a large collection music files on my local PC who are edited and added with new music, those I like to copy to my remote server. NOw it become too much to do this by hand and like your help in that. Because music files can be very old, then there is no use to compare time stamps. Why sync? reorganisation or delete on the local station need to be done also on the server.

I've been using FileZilla as an alternative way to transfer my files through my 2.5-10G network, usually between a Mac and a Mac. I have a 50TB QNAP NAS that I use for storage sometimes, and I needed to move about a terabyte of video files over to my 100TB RAID, and I tried to use filezilla for this, however the instant I let the mouse button go from dragging the folder over to its destination, filezilla closes instantly, and later pops up this error: ​https://pastebin.com/5zgB7L7A

Filezilla Client crashes / instantly close when you try to upload a file. Tested with .txt .sh .mp4 .mp3 .php .html - so filetype doesnt matter. Log shows nothing, tested on deb & ubuntu server with sftp.

Happy to say this is my first bug report after many years of using this product!

After update to 3.66.5:

what happens: I'll queue up an app for publishing to a webserver... > 1000 total files. FZ begins transfer, transfers an arbitrary number of files, my network will switch over to a different WAN link (external IP changes.) FZ gives multiple "File transfer failed" errors. FZ never recovers. Full disconnection never occurs. I cannot forcibly disconnect from server. Closing and reopening FZ tab does not change anything, FZ refuses to connect to server again and queue cannot be cleared. The last log shows "Connecting to ###.###.###.###" but never connects.

work around: I have to close FZ completely, and reopen and restart transfer.

some background: Local network has SD-WAN routing, so if a WAN link fails (or fails to meet certain network requirements) a different WAN link is chosen, so external IP address changes.

Prior to 3.66.5, as far as i can tell, FZ client had no issue adapting to this change as I never experienced this before, it failed gracefully and reconnected (to my knowledge.)

what I expect to happen: graceful failure. server is fully disconnected and connection is re-established on changed remote IP.

since yesterday I am not able to connect with the Caterpillar server. Filezilla tries to connect with b2b.cat.com but I get the message 'kan niet verbinder met server'. the username that is used is ESS08652.

I did the latest update and now the system continues to disconnect before I can transfer my files over. I tried it so many times now I'm getting the error 421 Too many connections from this IP. I can find the other error messag.

I now have some broken forms that won't load because they were in the middle of transferring so I'm hoping to get a quick resolution.

i begin a transfer and it may begin and end abruptly, OR it begins and stalls, and does nothing. I can close and reopen ftp repeatedly and eventually all files (documents only) will transfer. Error: The data connection could not be established: ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out.

this has been all day. I am running most recent version. internet has been verified as strong. no issues with any other website or device.

Sonoma 14.3.1 3.2 GHz 8 core intel Xeon W; Fresh install (not Time Machine and not using a migration Wizard)

Filezilla Client 3.66.5 installed with Mac installer.

Problem statement: OS 14.3.1 does not give Filezilla permission to Filezilla to write a file to the home directory. "Errol loading queue" happens upon start up, followed by "Error writing XML file". Filezilla functions normally, but doesn't load or save its state information.

1. Shows pop up windows associated with the errors. Both pop up indicate a failed attempt to write to my home directory: /Users/sara/.

2. Shows the window the "Privacy & Security" -> "Files and Folders" window. Filezilla is not given permission to access /Users/sara/. Nether is LibreOffice and Matlab_R2023b. Further, I can find no way to add the home directory to any of these programs.

3. Shows that some programs can and do have access to the home directory. I did standard install for Anaconda.

4. Privacy and Security allows programs to have full access to the disc. I am reluctant to use this solution. It would seem to go against Apple's attempt to improve security.

I see three solutions A. change the store path to /home/sara/Documents in your installation. B. allow the user to change the path. C. I give full disc access. I would prefer A. or B.

When a folder is selected, filzilla highlights it. That works fine with the part of filezilla I am working in. In all the other windows the highlighted folders turn into super-highlighted and their names cannot be read anymore in darkmode. See example:

please change this setting so that one can read them. There is no need to differentiate between a folder I work in and a folder I do not work in (I also do not need filezilla to show me, where my mouse is, if you know what I mean).

Dear FileZilla Team!

I've been using FileZilla for several years now, but recently noticed an issue where big files are uploaded corrupted. Few days ago I've been uploading a file (a 7z archive) that is a bit over 2 gigabytes. The upload went without any issues or warnings and file on the server had exactly the same size as the original. Although, when I check md5 checksum - they differ. Then I checked file contents and few bytes in the middle (3 different places) were different.

I have tried the same file again - the same issue, but now different bytes were different. I have tried once again - and yet again same issue. Then I split the archive into 3 parts (files) using archive-split feature, so that each file size is smaller (around 700MB). I have uploaded all three one by one (as opposed to in parallel together). One out of three was uploaded corrupted.

I'm not sure if it helps, but I'm using an insecure FTP Server (meaning, no encryption, but with a password). Transfer mode is set to "Default". Charset is set to "Autodetect".

Please let me know how can I help further diagnose the issue.

P.S.: I have found several "corruption-related" issues which are already closed, but did not find anything 7z-related, therefore added a new one. Please let me know if I should have used an older one instead.

I am using Filezilla client 3.58.0 on Linux Mint 21.3. The problem is that when uploading / downloading existing file, The "Target file already exists" dialog box has "Alt+C" shortcut for both "Apply to current queue only" and "Cancel". Which means that pressing "Alt+C" one time is not enough to select desired action i.e. "Apply to current queue only".

The last few versions (at least) have had this issue. I have the upload action set to "Ask for Action" and it generally does that, after a while though it forgets the setting and automatically overwrites the server version until the app is closed and restarted.

In some Unixes, like Linux, dlopen() and friends are provided by libdl. In others, like most BSDs and I think macOS, dlopen() is part of libc and there is no libdl.

See the man pages for FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD - I wanted to include links but then SpamBayes blocked the report as spam.

libfilezilla-0.47 wants to link against libdl. Please make it check first if the library exists. Thank you!

When it started Since upgrade to version 3.67.0 I am facing to new behavior/issue I consider to be a bug. My previous version was 3.66.5 win64

The issue In Local site when entering to a directory that is a symbolic link then the path is changed to the target folder of the symbolic link. When browsing in "Remote site" directory tree with enabled Synchronized browsing the FileZilla works as expected and enters the expected directory in both Remote site and Local site where it stays in the symlinked directory, ie. without changing the path to the target directory in Local site.

Reproduce the issue On Windows 10 64bit

To reproduce the behavior we will need to create two directory trees, first as source (C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject) and second that is symlinked using symbolic links from source folder (C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject), following commands are for Win Command prompt:

1. Create source folder structure in C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject (you can create source folder elsewhere but then do not forget to amend the path in MKLINK command in next step):

    MKDIR C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\admin\app\src
    MKDIR C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\data\app\src
    MKDIR C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\tests\app\src

2. Create project folder in the webroot (C:\xampp\htdocs)

    MKDIR C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject

3. Create symlinks from folder in the webroot to the source folders (Note the /D param is to create symbolic link to a directory):

    MKLINK /D C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\admin C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\admin\app\src
    MKLINK /D C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\data C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\data\app\src
    MKLINK /D C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\tests C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\tests\app\src

4. Now open FileZilla Client, connect to any remote server and copy MyProject directory tree including subfolders to the remote site.

5. Navigate FileZilla Client to following paths:

Local site: C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject Remote site: ../MyProject

6. Turn on the Synchronized browsing.

7. Enter any of the folder in Remote site, for example admin.

This should open the admin folder in both panels as expected when using Synchronized browsing, ie. Local site path is C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\admin, Remote path is ../MyProject/admin

8. Enter any of the folder in Local site, for example data.

Now the confirmation dialog opens:

        Synchronized browsing
        The local directory 'C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\data\app\src' is not below the synchronization
        root (C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\).
        Disable synchronized browsing and continue changing the local directory?
        [Yes] [No]

When confirmed [Yes] the path in Local site is unexpectedly changed to the source directory tree, ie. C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject\data\app\src.

Expected behavior is to stay in symlinked directory tree with symbolic links, ie. in C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\data

9. Following commands are to remove testing directory trees structures:

   RMDIR /S C:\Data_Exclusion\MyProject
   RMDIR /S C:\xampp\htdocs\MyProject\

Previous version(s) worked fine for years, so something has changed in the latest rev. to break the parsing of NTFS junction points.

I have a media server (Plex)/storage mule with the following layout, where F: is a physical disk with a directory (HDMEDIA4) on it. F:\<other directories> are linked to that same F:\ root so they all fall under the same tree even though they're other physical drives -- F:\HDMEDIA actually points to L:\HDMEDIA on another physical disk, but NTFS junction reparse points make it all look like it's sitting under F:\. They're effectively symbolic links, except for directories only:

With the latest FileZilla client 3.67.0, it won't let me enter any of those junction paths, either by the GUI (clicking) or typing it into the Local site: box above the local directory tree.

On the FZ client in question, F: is a mapped network drive (mapped to F$ on the storage mule box), so for example, F:\HDMEDIA6 logically looks like this:

(local FZ client F:) --> mapped to \\<IPaddr>\F$ on LAN client --> F:\HDMEDIA6 reparse point/junction to N:\HDMEDIA6 on storage mule box

Again, this has worked consistently for a long, long time (yearssss). This has broken pretty much the entirety of using FZ to download stuff into the right paths. :/ Help?

It seems that dropbox has update their code this weekend and now the shared team folders aren't showing up anymore. All I can see now is my own folder. ​https://imgur.com/a/GH1pdof
