Description
Inside "User Accounts" dialog - "Shared Folders"
section, if you click add and then "Cancel" to folder
browser, <new directory> entry still remains on "Shared
Folders" list. Can be cleared by "Remove" button. It
doesn't cause any error, but simply a bug.

I don't know if this is considered a bug.. but to explain
how I benefit from it I can say that I use this feature/bug
often, as I copy the address of the folder I wish to share,
directly from my explorer, and then I create a new shared
folder, press cancel and click the <new directory> entry so
I can edit it, and then copy the file in there.
it's just so much easier than actually find the folders
through the whole tree structure if you want to "unshare" a
lot of folders..
ex. I have my images that i want to share with friends and
family, but not all of them are allowed to watch the
"censored images" (hehe), so i unshare them.. and when i
have 10+ folders of that kind, it just takes too long to
find them in the folder tree window.. So i create a lot of
the <new directory> and pastes the folder path in from
explorer..
But i would like to hear what the developers say about this

Triage suggestion
I can confirm that FileZilla Server 0.9.60
will still have a "<new directory>" entry if the user clicks Cancel to close the directory selection dialog. This could be considered to be a UI bug. However, there has not been any movement on this ticket in 12 years.
I suggest closing this ticket.
