Remote file times wrong when timezone offset

Reported by: superatus Owned by: Alexander Schuch

Description

My server is 5 hours behind my local time so I have the
timezone offset in FZ preferences set to +5:00 but in FZ
2.2.15 the times are wrong. If I don't offset then FZ shows
the correct file times for the server's local time.

But... If I also offset by any number of minutes then the
times become correct!

My workaround at the moment is to offset by 5:01.

I'm on Windows XP

Anyone else noticed this?

I do have this problem on version 2.2.16.
However your workaround did not work (I've used reskit tzedit
tool to change time zone).

FileZilla 3 (beta) has (manual) time zone handling implemented as well already. Can you please test the time zone handling there and check if it works for your purposes?

FileZilla 2.2.15 and 2.2.16 are quite old as well already, so it might even be fixed in recent FileZilla 2 already. But if not, this might not be fixed anymore, as development is focused on FileZilla 3 now, which isn't that far away from a first official non-beta release version.

I'm currently using 2.2.32 and it doesn't have the time offset problem. I also downloaded the FZ3 beta as requested and it also appears to handle the offet correctly.

So I call the bug fixed. Closing this bug report.
