Version 2.2.11
I copied and pasted a URL into the Address field but got
a space at the end. FileZilla couldn't connect until the
space was removed.

I think you are talking about the QuickConnect bar, which is meant to connect to a server
quickly, hence the name.
I tried it with FileZilla 3 beta right now, and a URI with a space at the end got properly
parsed and FileZilla 3 beta connected to the server.
Can you please try current version of FileZilla 2 to check if the bug still persists? I am
closing this but report now, but if you still notice this bug in current FileZilla 2,
please reopen it. Thanks!
