#7355 closed Feature request (fixed)
Background color option for multiple tabs

Description (last modified by )
Hopefully this is a simple request.
It would be very helpful to have different background colors (or some other visual cue) to help keep track of which session you're in when there are multiple sessions open.
Thanks for a terrific product!

I heavily favor this feature. I am a programmer but don't use linux - or I would implement it myself. My suggestion is this:
1) In the site manager control, add an option where users can associate a saved connection site with a color.
2) When the user connects to the site, the corresponding tab uses the same color as the one set in the preference.
3) The site manager control should use a color picket kinda control. Not sure if one is available in wxwidgets.
Users can choose multiple sites to have the same color. It defeats the purpose but let it be for the time being.

Voting up for this. Though it seems a simple feature, it is very powerful and it's being used by most MySQL clients (SQLyog, Toad, etc). A server attribute with the color would do. In the file panel, that would be the background color. Example: red for production, yellow for test, green for dev.

I was looking exactly for this... i think is a great idea, in fact i tried yesterday going arround the sites options in filezilla but no luck.. what about making this possible?

Years old but colours would make this THE ftp client. Well it still is but the ability to differentiate between live, staging, etc. with colours would be perfect. Colours should be associated with each entry in the site manager. Ideally would tint the tab as well as the background or similar (column headings?) in the file listing.

If all goes well this will be implemented in the next version of FileZilla.

Implemented in 3.19.0-rc1
Would like to upvote this one as it would be very helpful and prevent upload files to the production site instead of a test one...
