BlueHost responded as follows to my inquiry:

Hello,

The server you are on is under a DDOS attack, so the shared IP address is temporarily unavailable. You can use this IP 67.20.70.16 as a temporary ftp server to connect to. After the DDOS attack is dealt with the IP address will go back to the shared one 66.147.244.216. it is not uncommon to have some connectivity issues until the attack stops.

Thank you,

I have been able to connect via the alternative FTP server.

Thanks!
