Crash on start with Norton AV 2004

Description
I run Windows 2000 SP4 and FileZilla 2.2.8a. I have
installed Norton Systemworks 2004 with Norton AV 2004.
When I try to run FileZilla it crashes with an unhandled
exception before the main window is shown. If I disable
the Auto-Protect in Norton AV it works just fine.

This bug report has been closed due to inactivity and has possibly
already been solved.
You can reopen this report if the issue still exists in the
latest version of FileZilla (Server).

It's a problem with your virus scanner.
Don't use "always on" scanners, those eat up too much
performance and only cause troubles.
Proper system configuration and scanning downloaded files
manually is enough to prevent any virus infection.
