Using WinRAR? Forget FlieZilla, try FireFTP instead (Firefox only).

Description
When trying to Open or View/Edit WinRAR archives from my local h/d and from my remote homespace. I have never had such problems with previous versions of FileZilla, only the latest version. I first get:
Cannot open folder C:\l
...flashing twice and it opens Windows XP's zipper in a seperate window. Then I either get:
DDE execute request failed: a transaction has failed
...or something like:
DDE execute request failed: a synchronous execute transaction has timed out
I end up having to drag my remote archives to a seperate Windows Explorer window to use them. Defragging and error-fixing my h/d has not helped. Can this please be fixed before I lose confidence in this program? I'm setting the priority to high, accordingly.

Have these forums become so spam ravaged and abandoned? I started this thread ages ago and these are the responses? Does the product suck so much?

It's individual people that are misbehaving.
Regarding your bug report, DDE is a deprecated technology and won't ever be supported by FileZilla. Either change your operating system's file associations to not use DDE or set a custom association in the settings dialog of FileZilla.

I posted this request ages ago and have since switched to FireFTP, a Mozilla plug-in that works flawlessly for me with any file. For Firefox users only, though it might work with I.E. http://fireftp.mozdev.org/ well thank you for any late information that still might benefit others.
I have long lost confidence in FileZilla and am now using another more reliable FTP product. I wonder if there's a way to de-register me from these forums?
