Description
On my machine i have associated ftp links to FileZilla. When i click on any FTP links it is giving critical error. It happens only when the username/password has special characters like below.
ftp://SC03167c:nb{FM6nx@ftp.india.madan.com/
Following is the error:
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server
But, if i launch the Filezilla and directly enter the above FTP link in HOST field, it is working fine.

I right now tried a current version of FileZilla 3.5.3 on Kubuntu (Linux) and giving your example from command line does not work, because the server is not reachable anymore. I tested with "ftp.kernel.org" and that user name was not accepted, but the server said so.
Do you still have the problem with a current version of FileZilla?
